Since they suck and should relearn basics to not produce shit.
KyoAni is pretty much golden standard of animation and production right now. Pretty much everyone should take a cue.
But i guess those who finish KyoAni inhouse school, stay working in KyoAni. Nowadays studios look for young talent in Young Animators Project - but those people quickly move to more lucrative places. See Trigger, most young animators left and did not stick with after LVA or Madhouse.
>mfw the decreasing amount of sidemouths in KyoAni productions
dem construction exercises
I can't wait for them to be the next Ghibli.
They actually praise Godakobo there, and there are few comments from animators that worked there.
That said, they need to up their game. While Plastic Memories is good, Mikagura is disgrace quality wise. This is what happens when you try to produce more shows than you can chew.
I'm just glad the days of KeyoAni are long behind us.
Mikagura has surprised me to be honest. It is pretty ugly overall, but I wasn't any of the cool action animation we've ended up getting.
KyoAni did FMP before KEY.
Also, FMP sucks.
FMP sucks since they took it away from GONZO.
Also; do you guys watch anime for the drawing quality? You plan to become animators? Otherwise I don't know why would you place animation over anything else.
Depth of Field also proven they still can do meha, albeit it was CGI.
That aside, NO ONE right now makes non-cgi robots, so it does not really matter. Of the latest Sunrise shows only Build Fighters was actually handdrawn.
Can we please get Kyoani to actually use those skills in an ambitious project or something?
I enjoyed the fanservice in Amaburi. Other than that, they're shows are shit. And yes I hate them because they could use their money/skills to make other shows look better. But nooo.
>And yes I hate them because they could use their money/skills to make other shows look better. But nooo.
But didn't they already experiment with action with Kyoukai no Kanata and /a/ collectively agreed that while they produced impressive animation, their storytelling skills action-wise are shit?
>storytelling skills action-wise
You mean the action directing? It was pretty good for a studio that hardly ever does action sequences, and Kigami's episode was great in terms of action.
Something that is pushes their creativity in terms of direction, cinematography or the way they use their animation. I just think the works they've produced so far aren't making much use of their talent and KnK was just a failure.
Imagine something like Utena, Shin Sekai Yori or Turn A Gundam done with their animation skill. It would be fucking glorious.
What? Sunrise has been producing some of the highest quality shit ever just look at Unicorn
Toei need to either fucking shut down or hire better animators because they always put out QUALITY shit.
