>[HorribleSubs] Shokugeki no Soma - 04 [720p].mkv
ED is the last supper
took me forever to notice
Holy shit /a/ I literally just gave the show a try a few hours ago.
It's fucking great
I was going to skip it because really an anime about cooking? Being exciting?
>Comfy nostalgia inducing OP
>MC has a strong goal at all times
I love it. JC staff knows how to do comedy. Why do we hate them?
>JC staff knows how to do comedy
No they fucking don't, they're just blessed that the source material is as good as it is, especially considering their adaptations are normally ASS.
As someone who has not read the manga, fuck this episode.
Although I don't agree with JC staff being the main factor that is making the show so great, I do agree with it being great right now. Honestly, if this show was in the hands of any other decent production studio it'd most likely be the same if not even better.
Laughed so hard at this
Maybe because I had a fucking stressful day
My best friend from HS looked like Ishiki and samurai flamenco guy. I always had mixed feeling about him till he started dating my ex. Bastard.
Why I am telling this? Well, I don't know.
Most bully-able girl of the season?
I literally laughed my ass off at this, Isshiki was fucking great, all the Tadokoro suffering was great too.
>also pic related, dat eeeh
>faggots hating on Isshiki
What's an Elite 10 doing in a stanky house like that though.
I wish I could build a time machine, go back into the past, and fucking kill the person that started this shitty trope.
No anime dares to pull a sora no woto.
I'm mindblown how by good a cooking centric anime could be
Surprise of the season
Or they could simply not do a drinking scene where everyone is clearly acting drunk? It's stupid and clearly only still being done as a trope for a laugh (you better not be laughing).
>Try to masturbate
Guess that's what I get for picking a Megumi doujin by Takumi na Muchi.
HO YEAH GRANNY
I see what you did but yeah I totally agree
You might want to drop this series now, then, fuccboi.
Actually that dorm produces some great students. They even said it in the episode - alot of the Elite Ten came from the dorm and some years all of the members were Polar Star.
I like the song for Ore Mono's ED but its visuals are too plain. Soma's has a good and unique song while having some eye-catching visuals on top of it which makes it a clearer choice
Just finished the episode. This should've been a SoL instead of shitty Shonen. Tadokoro is best girl.
I really like how JC Staff take the ecchi which was already at a 8-9 in the manga and give it that extra bump.
If someone told me that screenshot was from a hentai, I'd believe it easy.
Is Megumi clean shaven or does she have that country girl bush?
Don't forget to vote for your favorite character.
We still have 11 days.
Megumi's suffering fuels my boner.
It's a shame this won't get 24 episodes, i'm really enjoying it. I think i'll even start reading the manga when it's over. I'm loving the "it's bullshit but i believe it" jojo-style stuff Souma pulls in the cooking battles. Also i love cooking in general so it's pretty fun.
Pretty sure Souma's recipes are one of the less "it's bullshit" things on this show.
This episode was comfy as fuck.
As someone who's read the manga, this is pretty great.
The character's personalities reflecting in the cooking works really well. I hope this keeps going for a 24 episode run.
When everyone's pissed and starts singing the OP was a great touch.
I think that was the last straw that made me drop it, plus the cooking itself is condensed in 10 seconds and the reactions are stupid. Koufuku Graffiti was boring but at least it had food, not just a cast of morons and bad fanservice.
I want to know more about Soma's family. I was always curious about why he didn't know about his grandmother.
Fuck everything, I dont have enough space in my hard drive left.
Can't believe i had to stream this, other than that good episode. This is actually one of the better adaptations in a while
I guess he grew up with his father and I think his mother might have died when he was little.
Not so little, the picture in the restaurant shows that Souma's mother was still around when he was around 5~10
I'm also curious about Soma's scar. How did he get it? That picture don't show him with his scar.
Anyone else notice that Ryouko seems to be getting a lot of attention in the anime? I'm
perfectly okay with this.
He's inches away from groping both cheeks.
Are Megumifags really grasping at straws this hard?
I think that Souma is the least remarkable one there, actually. The others have more of an actual tough look to them, but Souma looks less menacing and more like a stupid wannabe.
Souma is great because he's friendly and competitive. He doesn't hold an emotional grudge no he makes sure he'll return being able to school your ass in the kitchen. He's constantly striving to be better and isn't afraid to openly study the competition, but he still seems rather far from humble. He's also really observant.
It's his intelligence and nihilistic outlook on life, I think. Throw in a wicked sense of humor and it makes him really relatable. To me at least.
But for real, I agree. Souma is a rad motherfucker.
i want to cum in this semen demon
Best girl when?
And why you haven't posted best nakiri's pics yet?
to bad though these 3 are THE rivals for now
As someone who has read the manga, so far they have been adapting it well, but this scene's adaption was a lot worse than expected. In the manga they have no need to hide that they are drinking sake, and it's done better. These kind of flaws are expected being an adaption.
This is also fine. Mad dog is cute as fuck and Curry is handsome and gentlemanly. I would read a WSJ long-running manga about these three testing foods in an abandoned clubroom.
At first it was just a small teasing right before the ellection's final.
But then we got some spoilers about those two from the Shokugeki no Soma a la Carte, Shokugeki no Soma's LN adaptation.
I read about it in a japanese impressions blog thing. Reportedly, Ibusaki gets a pretty in-depth look into his personality and what he's thinking after losing and all that, actually a legit character.
We don't have the LN raws, though I have been looking for it.
I've read the first 3 volumes, and so far i'd say that the anime is about on par, the VA, soundtrack and more methods of executing a scene do help.
A lot of manga readers won't enjoy the anime as much when watching it as they have seen all the content before, hence why they say that the manga is better. To be fair, a lot of the time the anime can be a lot worse, don't get me started on Denpa Kyoushi.
I'd say avoid reading the manga, you'll enjoy the anime more that way, but the anime won't cover all the content of the manga so far, so i'd continue when it's finished airing where the anime left off.
Forgot the image because that's just how desperate I am for some fujo to hear my plea.
POST YFW COMFY ED
No matter how good the episode is, nothing tops it. I sit through the whole thing.
I was bracing for a naked old woman throughout that entire scene.
I'm glad they didn't do it.
Also, delicious brown as more than just a couple of snapshots in the preview, when?
It makes you wonder what's the long-term direction for characters like Ibusaki, who's been hinted that he's unsatisfied wih his current midcarder rankings, as Souma is establishing himself a main-eventer.
Must of missed that.
Not even manga is sacred.
But the issue with the adaption for this scene was not the alcohol, but how long they drew it out for and how they focused on the wrong things, I shouldn't need to elaborate.
>Not even manga is sacred.
It's obviously an intentional joke, dude. Both in the manga and the anime. Now I don't know whether they actually legally had to put the notice up and took the opportunity to kill two birds in one stone or if it's just a random joke.
Top ED of the season for me, can't wait for the full version.
Gross, you filthy pervert.
I share your feeling though.
>sorted of tempted to pick up the manga
>remember that I never care for comics
I can't put my finger on what it is. I've read a fair number of comics, but I can count the ones that I found memorable on one hand. The forgettable ones include source manga for adaptations that I've liked, like Berserk.
I don't have this problem with traditional books or VNs. There's just something about comics that makes it hard to immerse myself.
wait, why was this added?
They've been changing the characters that appear at that spot every week.
I'm surprised I haven't seen any weed jokes about this.
I am enjoying this show, but I'm already getting tired of everyone at the school being surprised by what he makes. Like why is the landlady shocked that he can make a meal out of veggies, eggs, and a can of fish.
Oh man, this episode was so fucking comfy.
Every week this show gets better.
Why would someone pay to go to a school where only five people graduate out of the entire year and thousands of students?
Honestly, simply putting that you attended Totsuki would probably look good on a resume. That pretty much means that you're an above-average chef.
Especially if you could honestly say that you passed a year or two in high school.
Jouichirou is world-famous but he never graduated. All sorts of people scout Totsuki events to pick up talent, even if you don't make it to the end there's a good chance you'll make it big if you make a name for yourself.
There's probably some sort of special requirement to graduate too, like beating the director in a shokugeki. But who knows.
most of the people are surprised because he thinks of them on spot and with random ingredients and uses unorthodox methods
