What does /a/ think about Arslan Senki? Japan seems to love it as it it's doing exceedingly well in its ratings. It was recently in the top 10 most watched anime of the week with over 4.5 million viewers.
It just got a really good timeslot and it's a legitimately good show.
I'm caught up with the manga adaptation. Keep going anon. I can tell this series really does have potential.
You realize that means a 4.5% share of the TV audience for that program right, not 4.5 million people. What the fuck even made you decide that statistical unit meant million anyway? There's nothing there that says that or would even make anyone think that and that's not how ratings even work? Like holy fuck 4chan learn what you're talking about for once instead of just making shit up.
4.5% is still really really good mind you. Also I see the wretchedly bad Denpa Kyoushi is no longer getting the ratings boost from airing before Detective Conan anymore.
>What the fuck even made you decide that statistical unit meant million anyway?
Probably because most of the viewer ratings on Wikipedia for normalfag shows are done in the millions now
some of the backgrounds are cool
Nice to see a good seasonal show do that well in ratings.
I thought it would be fujoshi pandering crap when I found out the white haired person was a prince, and not a princess. I was mildly pleased to find out it wasn't all that bad.
Is basically Gensou Suikoden, the animation, I couldn't be more happy with it.
The source material of the source material for the anime its been out for decades, its not just some random LN adaptation.
Now we only need a good adaptation of Guin Saga and we will have quality fantasy anime for a while
Still bummed that Lidenshit is animating this show, sure the directing and story are above average but the animation, not so much. Enjoy your sakuga houkais fight scenes.
The only quality scenes the anime has is on the OP and nothing else, anon.
Turks, lost the war.I never liked the show anyway
The original novel series is written by the guy that did Legend of The Galactic Heroes with illustrations by the guy that does the concept artwork for the Final Fantasy series. The manga adaptation which this TV series is based on is by the author/artist of Full Metal Alchemist. This is indeed extremely far from being your typical seasonal anime that is super niche but people mistake for not niche because it moves Blu-Rays to otaku collectors and people seem to think that's the sole indicator of somethings popularity.
If only you knew just how wrong you are. Japan has a highly oppressed LGBT community that gets the same kind of treatment that Japan's Bushido business oriented culture loves to give to just about any present subculture within it's cultural dominion. It's not full on Russia lock you up because you're gay and protest about it level bad, but it's pretty damn bad.
Don't confuse anime fetishism and fujoshi ideas with Japan proper.
