2 hours to more yuuki
Also don't forget to vote for your favorite character.
We still have 4 days to vote.
>not voting for best girl
Shame on you, anon.
By the way, the full OP is great.
what do you call the face on the left? like is there a name I can search for cause it's fucking adorable.
he has the perfect blend of lovable, badass, funny, and serious
why can't we get more MCs like him? gettin real tired of this "beta bitch no confidence bad with people talentless hack self insert bait MC" shit
That moment is before the preliminaries but still, they're probably gonna do them since crazy girl and china girl made a cameo.
I know the ED changes, but what parts of the OP changes?
>I know the ED changes, but what parts of the OP changes?
Only this part.
They change this dish every episode.
Episode 1 for comparison.
Who /Mehgoo/ here?
is it basically impossible or something for erina to have a food-tasting-delusion where she ISN'T at least half naked? seriously she must secretly really want the D and is dying for someone to make her dreams come true
The fuck are you talking about?
ORIG NOT LARGE
Her eyes in all those pics looked fucked and her breasts are inconsistent. The show doesn't even have much in terms of animation anyways.
I don't mind filler scenes like this one, god knows Erina needs as much screentime as they can spare, but I'm a bit worried for the pacing.
How far are they planning to go at this rate? Will they even make it to the election arc?
I've finished manga two days ago, absolutely amazing. I didn't expect something that looked like some weird harem to impress me so much.
Also, why this guy such a best?
Nah, Shinomiya and Souma just get hit with what looks like a mint-flavored hurricane and become super-handsome in Shinomiya's case.
The girls cum because they're girls in a Tosh manga.
Has Hinako given up on Shinomiya? She had [has?] a crush on him from high school right?
Just watched the episode. They're really padding, adding extra scenes as well as gratuitously using flashbacks of scenes 2-3 episodes ago.
It does seem like they're take the slow route and they won't touch election within these 24 episodes.
A good thing, honestly. I would much rather a slow pacing than a stupidly fast one. Election can be saved for a second season, which I'm pretty sure will happen.
Taneda Risa's voice does things to my penis.
I'm sure they'll only do the training retreat this cour. Soma squares off against Takumi, Erina, and tag teams Shinomiya all in one shot.
I suppose they might take it all the way to Jouichiro's challenge, since that would only take a chapter or two.
When is the next manga chapter going to be released?
He looks so much better now.
Who's topping the list right now?
That's all I can think of this season that'd be above Shokugeki, maybe I'm forgetting some important ones.
Still this studio is never going to be as good as Tosh.
Tosh is God-tier in artists, it's been a long time since I've seen manga art this good.
What the fuck?
I guess it must have been Tosh being overhyped and the studio fucking up.
Yahari I knew I forgot.
How's DanMachi doing for all the Hestia hype? How's Nisekoi doing now that everyone knows the author's devious tricks of no ending?
>How's DanMachi doing for all the Hestia hype?
Meh. Better than Souma but nowhere near as good as the hype suggests
>How's Nisekoi doing now that everyone knows the author's devious tricks of no ending?
Slightly lower than the first season.
just started reading the manga yesterday, chapter 22 right now. do we get more like this from megumi later on? it's so fucking cute and balances her character better than being fuwawawawawa~ all the time
I remember a bit where Jun is talking about how terrible it was with Souma's dad around and how he always used her for food experiments.
And then Souma basically said "wow, my dad was just awful doing that to you" and it cuts to Megumi in the background flabbergasted at Souma's lack of self-awareness.
for creatively taking a bad situation and making a dish that tasted even better? something that would be nearly impossible without precise understanding of how ingredients interact together?
>mfw this pretty much confirms that they drew a dick ther
I'm fucking dieing here.
Yuuki a cute. A CUTE.
I want her to make me rabbit stew.
So this is definitely ED of the season right? It's just so fun.
>tfw I only JUST realized that halfway after it switches to full view, the ingredients flying past the 2nd window explode before hitting the 3rd window
I was always way too focused on watching the people, because it's so fun that it never gets old.
but killing the animals that you've been personally raising for years is different, not to mention that you share the same bed with them and have them staring at you every morning.
Killing animals isn't. But I wouldn't want to get in her way when she's like this.
In the first place Ryouko always struck me as the most sexual character in the regular cast. I mean, Nikumi doesn't seem to have any idea why people think she's lewd but Ryouko's always fanning her hair and making eyes at people.
I love Sakurai.
It's the middle of the night, can't they just fucking stop for a second and go to sleep like normal people?
this is a cooking manga
>'s the middle of the night, can't they just fucking stop for a second and go to sleep like normal people
You mean you've never woken up in the middle of the night to with a massive craving for something and gone and cooked it? Bitch, when you get the munchies you sate them.
fun fact: waking up still drunk after passing out and making fresh stroganov is something i've done more than just a couple of times
Erina-sama perfect as always.
She treats them like pets right up until she kills them, though.
Farmers typically try to keep themselves emotionally separated from the livestock. If the cow's fate is the butcher house, they don't name the cow, pet the cow, or play with the cow. That's because they're not psychopaths, and they'd feel bad killing a pet.
That she regularly makes pets into dinner says that she's not a warm person.
I normally can't motivate myself to cook anything more elaborate than fried eggs.
One of the few exceptions is when I wake up hungry, especially at an odd hour. Something about that makes me go right for the kitchen knife.
Whoops didn't even notice the nips. I wouldn't want to get banned from such a "wonderful community"
>Don't sexualize a girl from a manga whose author is a former porn artist
Lewdest scene in the episode.
It's just rice juice and golden tea, anon. I swear.
hm... sounds like something I might actually be able to make. I saw the post before from the guy who made the mackerel burger and it just looked like too much time and skill involved for me. I like things simple.
Big, complicated, skill-intensive dishes are nice and all, but yeah there's definitely something to be said for meals that you can easily throw together with a bit of know-how
They're both impressive, in their own ways
Found it, looks really nice and not that hard to do. I might try to do it, I don't think that they sell canned mackerel here, but the guy said it can be made with tuna.
Because in a shonen fighting manta you're not supposed to encounter an unwinnable boss fight against an endgame tier enemy until after the MC has already won against at least a couple of bosses.
Because he's a nice person, and he didn't want to hurt Soma's feelings by blowing him out of the water.
Plus it was just a friendly cook-off, not an official match. They weren't just showing off their skills, they were having fun. It's a welcome party, and it'd be a total mood killer if things got real hot and heavy like that.
oh sure, it's just that with my current schedule I only have an hour or so per evening on weekdays to prepare, cook, and eat meals, which is why I do my grocery shopping and the more prep-intensive meals on weekends. plus when I get home I'm already beat and don't want to have to focus with my full attention on what I need to do.
I didn't know yuki was the type to worry that much about her figure, she seems too confident most of the time. It's weird.
What about the next morning? They don't need to wage expulsion against a seat on the Elitist Ten but they could wager something smaller, if he doesn't get slapped down hard as early as possible one of these days Soma is going to do something stupid like challenge some other Elitist Ten wagering something else and get his face kicked in because he thinks that he's already at final year grade cooking since all his classmates are scrubs so everyone else must be too and this academy is just a stepping stone and he wants to hurry up and go home already so he can get back to fighting his dad.
But that wouldn't happen, even in the school trip arc he already realized that he's surrounded by competent foes in his year. He starts with a misguided view, but that didn't make him all that biased towards naievete, it just made him ignorant. Other people showed him how things really are in a natural progression and he took it all in stride.
I just started watching this show, I haven't read the manga so I don't know anything about future reveals or plot developments, but so far two things are standing out to me:
1. Soma hasn't mentioned his dad's name to anyone yet. It's going to turn out that his dad has some sort of connection to the school and/or is a world famous super-genius cook everyone knows, right?
2. So far everything Soma has cooked has been spur of the moment, limited ingredients, improvisation, or fixing some sabotage. I imagine his own skills will step up a notch when he's able to make something with a fully stocked kitchen and no one trying to screw him up.
>1. Soma hasn't mentioned his dad's name to anyone yet. It's going to turn out that his dad has some sort of connection to the school and/or is a world famous super-genius cook everyone knows, right?
Did you miss the bit where monks come from Tibet to eat Soma's dad's cooking?
>2. So far everything Soma has cooked has been spur of the moment, limited ingredients, improvisation, or fixing some sabotage. I imagine his own skills will step up a notch when he's able to make something with a fully stocked kitchen and no one trying to screw him up.
Soma has always won by making shit up on the spot, he's the Phoenix Wright of cooking.
When he doesn't just make something up on the spot, get whole chapters on him coming up with his dishes, his inspirations, trying different things out, help from his friends and all. I actually personally find those better than the actual fight chapters.
Actually, I think there'll be some of that next episode.
The anime has reminded me of something they never developed in the manga.
There's supposed to be a whole "Erina Faction" but the only people in it are Hisako and Nikumi. What's up with that.
Wouldn't most of the elite ten be third years and graduate before being introduced? This late in, I kind of feel like that was intentional.
By the time we know all of the elite ten at the same time, most of them will be people we already knew about that get one of the vacated spots, with only one or more two guys (who are currently second years) being revealed later.
He should still have been made to realize that earlier not later, the quicker he's actually beaten for the first time the quicker he can get to improving himself.
Maybe I just have no patience for some Yuki Kaji asshole who doesn't take seriously the words of others when it has already been explained to him repeatedly how high the standards are at the school because he happens to be ahead of the background characters.
too structured for this kind of series, souma is all about dealing with sabotage and whimsical situations on the fly, putting him in a fully stocked kitchen with less restrictions and no interference kind of ruins the mood by pretending to be something else
I'm not an expert in clothes or drawing but this looks fucking retarded to me.
nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons nipple buttons
all I can see when I look at this is nipple buttons
yes they are rankings. #1 is the best student cook currently at the school. Presumably, most of the seats are third year students. The rest are the top of the 2nd years. Erina's making history by being a first year.
>souma is all about dealing with sabotage and whimsical situations on the fly
And you will still get that
it's not quite as exaggerated in the manga, though it still clings to the underboob more than real cloth would. It doesn't really dip into the cleavage though, so it avoids that for the most part.
This episode just cemented the MC in my mind as an idiot who just wants to take shortcuts and get out of school as fast as possible because "muh reel deel restauranting" or whatever. Doesn't he think that if it was so easy to try for a seat on the Ten then Issiki would be getting challenged left right and center 24 hours a day?
I really don't understand why they changed it from the slight depression in the middle that the manga had
Nah it's just Souma's perspective brought about by his upbringing, his dad pretty much sends him there so he can grow as a chef instead of just imitating Asura
When he arrives at the school he views it as a place to train so he can beat his father because he sees his father as the only chef better than himself then Isshiki reveals just how great the chefs there are and then he competes in the elections and realizes he is competing with the other kids instead of just blowing past them.
Reminder that Doujima "I fucked you're dad" Gin is the most moe senpai.
>I'm turning things around.
>B-but we can't just smoke everything on our menu-
This guy is a second-year right? How the hell did he manage to pass the stagaire period?
There's a lot of good EDs this season. Souma, Kekkai, Eir, Rinne, Arslan. . .it's a long list. I think I like Rinne's probably the best, but Spice is going to go into my playlist regardless.
There's still fuckall for pixiv art of him (or it's him paired with that shit Shinomiya). I ought to request something from the drawfag thread one of these days.
They are cute together. I know most of you all hate Nikumi or only like her for her nikumis but I'm glad she's actually made friends with this guy and the girls at the dorm. She's a cute and she deserves happiness.
Nikumi became a good character once she got away from Erina. Same is true for Hisako. Erina is like a blackhole of unlikability that obscures the likable traits of any characters that hang around in her orbit.
Because Isshiki doesn't hate Souma, in fact if anything he's one of Souma's biggest cheerleaders. Leave the culling to bitches like Erina, Isshiki's a talent hawk and he knows Souma's got mad potential, and I think he just genuinely likes the guy.
Well when your only source of company is yourself, you quickly pick up on your own flaws unless you're totally deluded, which Erina isn't. She's just used to seeing her reflection in the adoration of those around her. Unimpressed commoners like Souma are a smudge on that mirror, it's why she can't stand him.
No, she's just frustrated by him. He's totally irreverent toward the things she strongly believes in, like the academy hierarchy (and her place in it) as well as haute cuisine. He has nothing that she wants, so there's no envy, and she doesn't even see him as competition for her place as number 1 among the first years, so there's no jealousy either. It's more like, he's a total aberration according to her world view, and she just wants him gone so the world will make sense again. She hates dealing with him because none of her usual tactics work.
>Is Erina jealous of Soma?
during the scene where she was staring out the window at him and his friends, she was thinking of Hisako and wishing she would come back, so she might be a little jealous out of her loneliness.
She's also jealous of Alice because Alice doesn't have to carry so many expectations for the family and she's allowed to fail and cry about it, unlike Erina.
>Only friend treats you at arm's length
>One chef you truly admire is the father of the guy you hate the most
>Living as a pompous rich person means that she can't really express herself in public and has to constantly keep up her public image
Erina has it pretty rough, I want Soums to break her hard shell and get to the goodness inside with his dish.
Anyone else notice a strange amount of focus on a certain sexy character?
Of course not. Final boss status is reserved for this sexy bastard.
I tried something. I'm sure someone else could do it better. I had to resort to guesswork at a few points and I'm still not quite sure what's going on with her hands.
I'm not even talking about the anime specifically, I mean in real life, too, like with fancy chefs and shit.
If food tastes good, that's cool. But once you start reaching the levels the anime shows, it's just like why even bother anymore. Surely it can't be much better than the average homemade dish
I steamed some broccoli and sprinkled salt and pepper on it, but before I finished I took some of the boiling water and poured it over the broccoli and it tasted amazing. this show honestly has the best recipes and techniques
