I mean it has good moments here and there, but why I am not excited for it? Why am I not hyped like I was when there was a new F/SN anime announced a couple of years ago? Is F/SN losing its charm for any of you anons?
Because we've watched/read/played this storya million times already
I'm still excited for it though, every episode is a visual delight
>the fanbase is cancer and this makes me enjoy it less
How are you so fucking basic?
It's the Kizu movie. It was announced long ago but nothing happened and hype died. Now we have a date and I don't give a shit because we've waited too long already. Time is doing its job, nothing more, nothing less.
I'm too familiar with UBW by now, having replayed it both for DEEN's movie and this anime. I'm just tired of it. At this point the anime only material is more exciting than the canonical content. Not gonna lie though, Lancer vs Archer was hype as all hell. Wish it was longer.
I'm moderately excited for HF though because I don't have a clear recollection of it.
>Caster dumpsterd by some random teen girl
>Red man had an opportunity to kill Caster but passed until later
>Gil jobbing to random teen with hero complex
>Lancer multiple opportunity's to kill the red man
Is there someone in the Fate universe that actually takes things seriously?
can someone help me install f h/a? I mount the iso and try to run the setup without aplocale, because applocale fails to launch it each time, so I figured I'd just use the patch after installation. I have a crack, but I don't know what to do with it, at the end of the installation with the setup exe, it asks me something disc-related and then cancels installation when I don't know what to do with it.
Even though I find the notion kind of dumb, I liked Saber's waifu story the best, but Heaven's Feel ending was the best one. So maybe combine those two? Make it a sad ending as well. Make Shirou die after he trips on a rock and breaks his skull on the sidewalk. All because he was trying to be a hero.
Best ending. Wait but that's not a sad ending. For a sad ending do the UBW ending, because that's sad in the sense of the writer not caring anymore.
>rearranges scenes so that the events portrayed flow right after another
What? What do you even mean?
As an adaptation the F/Z anime was really odd. And it cut and jumped back and forth between scenes even more than the novels did with few exceptions.
>Is F/SN losing its charm for any of you anons?
It lost its charm as soon as the best girl was kill.
>tfw I skipped out on all Fate anime before this
>tfw I skipped out on manga adaptations too
I feel bad for everybody that accepted the shitty adaptations that came before this. No wonder you're all sick of it.
I'm not autistic enough to provide multiple things when you ask for one.
Also please realise that Miura is the series director while each episode has different episode directors.
This guy gets it. REJOICE my friend for you have enjoyed the cream of the crop of the series.
Reminder not to be deceived by sunk cost VNfag primaries.
They made the decision long ago to gorge themselves on an inferior medium, knowing full well that a superior, high budget, high quality better medium version was in the works.
They traded quality for early access to content. And misery loves company, they will stop at nothing to trick newfriends into making the same mistake they did.
You should do the following, at the bare minimum
1. Watch Fate/Zero
2. Watch UBW (UFOTABLE)
3. Decide to wait out for the end of UBW, or if you really must and cannot contain your autism to win nerdbattles on /a/, you can play the VN
4. Ditto for the last, worst, wormroutes like HF.
There is zero reason to choose an objectively inferior, decade old eroge VN over a far superior, better artstyle, animated, version of it.
Additionally the other fate releases spoil Fate/Zero -- the best standalone release of the entire fate series. It is idioitic to complain about how it ruins a subpar route like HF, when reading HF/FSN spoils Fate/Zero.
Fate/Zero is one of the greatest selling anime of all time for good reason. And /a/ will never stop being butthurt over it.
Additionally, people really overestimate how bad "spoilers" are. It's not like "It's his sled" level spoiler, it's just "ugh, ok that's what they decided to do"
You're supposed to enjoy the journey, not the destination, in Fate. And the (ufotable) anime is a luxurious limo ride on the main road. The VN is a model T that can travel on the side roads as well.
Take the nice trip and then circle back onto the dirt path if you really want to.
Seeing Rho Aias properly animated made me diamonds.
Probably one of the best moments of the VN.
No you fucking faggot, I read the VN. You should always read or play source material before indulging in an adaptation. Don't link me in your shitposting.
Yes, Nasu's opinions on how they're different things is well known. It's totally true too, from a writing perspective. That doesn't change the fact that the actual director makes it pretty clear that the anime is in fact a followup to the Fate/Zero anime. I think the way they're approaching it is commendable, but it's probably not going to be a very good story regardless. Can't really polish shit, just like most of the Garden of Sinners stuff.
The angle Miura is going for is that F/SN builds on the characters and themes from F/Z, and Shiro as a "champion of justice" is a continuation of everything F/Z was about. He intends to keep the comedy elements in F/SN because they're part of what makes F/SN what it is, but on a whole they want to make a more serious sort of series.
>Do i fit in yet guys?
Funny because I saw the VN image. It looked like horse shit. Like a child drew it. Pathetic.
Nice pulling things out of your ass.
>[ufotable is] attempting to create their adaptation of Fate/Stay Night independently of Fate/Zero, since Zero was able to be what it is using the original Fate/Stay Night game as a foundation.
Why are you responding to shitposters? Don't respond to it, hide it.
Anyone else disappointed that Kirei didn't teach Rin to fly sideways like when he does?
Remember kids, don't sell your soul into eternal servitude in hell!
Seeing everything laid out an an anime instead of over the course of many many hours of VN kind of emphases how stupid huge amounts of the story are. Like it is completely insane how many times people just walk away instead of spending two seconds killing the person they were fighting. It happens in almost every single episode.
Stop browsing UBW threads after the HS release then. The best time to enjoy threads with people who genuinely love the show and look forward to it every week are right before the show airs up until it airs on CR.
In the middle of the week there are some good threads too, if you browse late at night.
Based on FHA, it seems Rin's incorporated karate into her style, which might account for differences with Kirei's style.
Also, Kirei was a fucking monster. His explosiveness and hip motion is out of this world, short of real-deal Bajiquan masters like Li Shuwenn.
In a long-range magic battle? Probably not. Rin only got the upper hand because they were fighting in a confined space and she got off a surprise flashbang when Caster was off-guard and pitying her.
>dat Tohsaka bajiquan
cause da priest is in the motherfucking house
Well, Kuzuki should theoretically be able to beat most anyone if he gets the first strike and they don't know his style.
Given, of course, that his fists are reinforced with magic against reinforced armor or skin.
Bazett maybe, if she catches her off guard.
But in a magic battle she outclasses any living magus. She has Rank A spells from the age of the gods.
Those gems Rin threw at her in this episode were Rank A, considered to be among the most potent magic a modern magus could wield, and you saw how well that went over.
Rin knew she couldn't match Caster in magic, so she tricked her and used kung fu instead.
Powerlevels don't matter as much as strategy. Caster has infinite mana and doesn't need incantations so in a straight up magic duel with a modern day mage, she will win. If the duel deviates to other tactics, anything can happen.
On the other hand, Bazett not being able to get a surprise attack and finish in one strike makes the fight considerably more difficult. Fragarach would most likely never activate against Caster, and the most she could do at that point would be to try and tank Caster's barrage while getting in close to get a hit.
Resurrection rune might work for a surprise attack if Caster doesn't completely disintegrate her.
>we will never get a spin off series where Rin and Kirei go on adventures hunting and suppressing rogue magi for the MA and the Church
>no bajiquan duo
I'd watch this shit all day and night.
Caster doesn't have infinite mana, that's actually one of the ways the Caster class is gimped by the grail war. Servants require mana from their masters or by gathering it from people, which is what Caster was doing for most of the early war. Casters as a rule have to have a lot of prep time before they can stand a chance against the knight classes and their magic resistance.
Medea was able to set up a very strong territory in an ideal location that let her gather power from almost total safety until she was ready to take on the other Servants.
Her true advantage over modern magi is that she has knowledge of ancient and powerful magic + high speed divine language. So she's flinging spells above anything a modern magus has, faster than they can even prepare an adequate response.
They could be support like in that waifu fighter
It kinda sucks that Archer can't kill Shirou, dude kinda deserves it for being such an annoying piece of shit. Through it feels like he's half assing it, If he really wanted Shirou dead who wouldn't just bound Rin behind a wall of swords, he should of shot him with those arrows of his.
So next episode Rin gets kidnapped, right.
Whoa there, be careful, lady.
It would be really nice if we saw Caster throw a feeble punch at Rin and she blocks it in baji and move in for the elbow properly, instead of that just-for-show turn after the leg sweep
Even if Ufotable shits the bed animating the Heaven's Feel movie, I hope that they'll at least get Kirei vs Shirou right. If they animate Kirei vs Assassin, I'd straight up come all over the monitor.
He has a wheelchair, a moemercuryblob, a gun, and fried magic circuits. He'd be like a joke character.
Being serious, he could use his mercury thing, and some of the magic he had used on his building. They could really expand on him to make a great magic fighter.
>Kirito is the bigger character shown
There's no masters together with servants. There's just a lot of joke characters, that in my opinion, ruin the seriousness of the game. Not that not being serious is a bad thing.
Newfags all over this thread
>Fate zero is better then FSN anime
> All route of FSN visual is better then FZ
> One route isn't better then FZ.
Deal with it faggots your all are fucking stupid and learn to spell for shit
In Crucis Fatal Fake you fight with both a Servant and a Master.
The various Masters gives various benefits to the Servants, and you can even tag between the Servants and the Masters as if you were playing a Capcom versus game. But all the Masters are shit in comparison to the Servants, and if the Master dies first you are fucked.
But the Masters while weaker can still fight and can still decide the outcome of the fight.
Kirei and Shirou provides shit benefits but can fight incredibly well for Masters even if Shirou is a poor man's Archer.
Dark Sakura if I recall has offensive plays on par with Servants but is fragile as she still isn't a Servant.
Illya provides a huge boost but is very poor in a fight.
Rin provides decent benefits and can fight decently, for a master anyway.
It was kind of kind of interesting.
>him to do what he has planned since the beginning - kill Shirou. In the wake of this, Rin makes a new contract with Saber, thereby making her Saber's master. Archer then kidnaps Rin and takes her hostage to the Einzbern Castle, where Shinji attempts to sexually abuse her.
>The next day, Shirou, Saber and Lancer head to the Einzbern Castle, whereupon Archer reveals that he is the future Emiya Shirou, the hero who is betrayed by the ideals he fought for, and now he seeks to create a time paradox by killing his past self. He considers this an act of mercy, not wanting Shirou to see his ideals betray and crush him like the way they crushed Archer. While Shirou fights, Lancer goes to rescue Rin. Kirei suddenly appears and orders Lancer to kill her. However, Lancer demands that Kirei use his Command Spell for such an order, and Kirei does, ordering Lancer to kill himself instead. Rin is about to submit to her fate as Kirei approaches to kill her, when suddenly Lancer stabs Kirei in the back using Gae Bolg. Shinji, now believing he is free to do whatever he likes to Rin, is chased off by a just-revived Lancer. After setting Rin free, Lancer activates his Ansuz rune, burning the room as he dies.
>Shirou faces off with Archer, finally convincing Archer that he is not taking the wrong path as he has no regrets about his decision, no matter what repercussions it may have in the future. With that, Archer is defeated. Gilgamesh then appears, attempting to kill Shirou because of his nature as a "Faker", but Archer pushes Shirou out of the path of Gilgamesh's attack, seemingly sacrificing himself He then retreats when the fire started by Lancer enflames the whole castle and destroys it. Gilgamesh catches up with Shinji and inserts Ilya's heart into his body, making him the new incarnation of the Holy Grail..
why does this exist?
>That night, Rin makes a contract with Shirou to give him mana so that he could battle Gilgamesh. Shirou, Rin and Saber reach Gilgamesh's new hideout, the Ryuudou Temple. Rin tries to pull Shinji out of the embodiment of the Grail while Shirou fights Gilgamesh and Saber is held back by Assassin. Shirou is able to take out Gilgamesh by using his own version of Unlimited Blade Works. However, Gilgamesh revives one last time to try and make him the new incarnation of the Holy Grail. Fortunately, Archer, who also appeared to help Rin at the same time, comes to Shirou's aid, finishing off Gilgamesh with an arrow to the head. Rin bids her Servant goodbye, as Archer tells her to take care of his younger self, hoping that her care of Shirou will change the future and grant his wish to save Shirou from his ideals. In the end, Rin finally sees Archer with a genuine smile, the same one as Shirou's.
>It is noted that, in this route, Shirou and Rin develop feelings for each other as they grow closer as friends. This scenario also highlights Rin's tsundere qualities. Also Rin is the Winner of the 5th Grail War:^)
Heaven forbid fate fans put their creative talent to something other than shitposting on /a/
I would rather have something like TF2, pick your servant class and then you get to change their stats/abilities or choose default premades like Gil/Herc. Modes would include red VS black or ffa. Its survival mode or gather enough "points"/mana to summon the grail.
Is just that the source material is bad, the studio is doing a real good job adapting F/SN UBW, but you need to remember that FSN is a simple eroge with a mix of chunni fantasy
Oh from Negima.
How are they gonna fill the rest of the episodes? Flashbacks? Archer, Gil, Lancer, and Shinji are candidates for flashbacks. I wouldn't mind seeing some Lancer flashbacks considering his impact in HF. They might shoehorn Kotomine into the plot also.
I could see someone making a multiplayer game where people can choose from a wide array of heroic spirits and squaring off over the course of one hour or something, to see who eventually ends up conquering the grail.
You could try to hide to let others fight instead and then strike when they're weak, make and break alliances, target masters only, so on. It would work out if done properly.
kirei's home is HF. In UBW he gets about 2 minutes on screen to suicide lancer then dies like a bitch.
Leaving kirei as a relative unknown for all the secondaries who haven't even watched f/z would be a great selling point for HF
It is a lot more interesting with the fog of war. Which doesn't appear to be shown in that guy's replays.
Finding the opponent and landing your hits with the fog of war and despite audible warnings of Noble Phantasms being launched is a huge part of the game. Especially since everyone can blink.
If you approach an enemy servant a red ping will appear with a notification on your minimap. For just a moment, giving a you a hint of where they are, but you still can't see them because of the fog of war.
And whenever someone uses a Noble Phantasm the sound/voiced lines of the character calling out the name of the Noble Phantasm is heard no matter where on the map they or you are. Trying to analyse the situation from the plausible locations and directions of the enemy with the fog of war, and the audible warning of the noble phantasm that declares when the happenings are no doubt happening. No matter from where or what direction.
It's a cool game with lots of spying, skill dodges, and team work.
The character progression itself is also very interesting. Different builds of the same characters can end up being so different that you could almost call them different characters, but the different heroes are still very distinct and unique from one another no matter their build.
>We should be allowed to pick which class & such.
Things like that can be done with different game modes and such. Typical HGW is a tough cookie to adapt because some summonings are random as fuck and others are using catalysts. Maybe some players would be allowed to pick their servants while some wouldn't.
That's simply not true. Fighting games are mostly balanced, the "game breaking" imbalances in them are usually exploits that only really dedicated players can master.
No fighting game has a playable character that has to be killed 12 times to be KO'd and an immunity to anything but your strongest attacks, or a character that can zone you with an infinite spam of ranged attacks that will one-shot you unless you're the aforementioned guy with 12 lives.
>No fighting game has a playable character that has to be killed 12 times to be KO'd and an immunity to anything but your strongest attacks
Are you sure about that?
I'm not talking about game mechanics. The entire point of most fighting games is to mechanically balance a roster in which most of the characters are dissimilarly strong.
>That's simply not true
Yeah no, list more than 3 fighting games off the top of your head where the characters have similar canonical power levels. Why is Krillin allowed to fight Frieza and win in Budokai? Peach vs Ganon? Shigechi vs Kars? etc etc
>shitting on unlimited codes
do you hate fun?
playing that on acid for 4 hours straight against a friend is amazing.
shame it doesn't have a story mode as far as I can find
>I'm not talking about game mechanics
Except that's what I'm talking about.
>Yeah no, list more than 3 fighting games off the top of your head where the characters have similar canonical power levels
That's exactly my point, fighting games have to severely nerf characters and buff others to average everyone out.
Arcade mode is as close to story mode as you're going to get with UC
Also Lancer is OP
Am I the only one that think they're starting to fuck up with the sounds? They seem to sound out of place recently
>Illya getting stabbed
>Kuzuki getting crushed under debri
>Lancers spear making the noise a metal rod would make when striking the ground, when he catches it in his arm
>Surprisingly silent explosion
You get the picture.
UC was sadly something of a failure where almost every character could go from a poke to a kill in one meterless combo.
It's sad that no one with legitimate experience in developing Fighting Games could have done it. Like Examu or someone that still does licenced titles.
calm down bro you're full on mad people don't have to play some shitty deprecated eroge
Then what the fuck are you talking about? Why is F/SN an exception when the vast majority of fighting games inherently NEED to buff and nerf characters to make it playable? What even is your point?
I'm not having nearly as much fun as I was having when watching Zero, and I dropped it and have only watched every third episode or so. And most of it is due to Shirou being such a flaming fucking faggot that cannot stop spewing unnecessary bullshit all the time. Feels like every scene without him is instantly a million times better. Just waiting for unrimited bureido work to show up and dropping it entirely.
Next week is the week
>I'm the bone of my sword
That was kind of nostalgic, but the original is better.
