I can confirm Whaitu is best waifu
Read the thread.
So she's like a vampire or something, right?
Hwaitu is the Waifu.
>tfw spoonfeeders no longer get banned
>tfw the golden age of /a/ is gone
Nope, there's really not any romance going on to speak of. Unfortunately for Chain.
Bros and burgers.
"slightly erotic meal scenes"
We're just as surprised as you.
Leo should have confessed to her, when she asked him if there is a girl she likes.
Aligura best girl!
so did he gently walk her home or what
I wouldn't be very keen on admitting there's someone I care about to a maniac who just admitted to have turned her important person into paste, so she could infuse him into a hot stud.
She CRAAAAAAAZY. And not fun-crazy like Zapp, either. Leo knows it, too, because he got to hear in graphic detail what happened to her last boyfriend. He already lost his sister's eyes; trying to put it in an insane indestructible goth loli lady of misrule would probably be a good way for a couple of his own limbs to go the same way.
I have a few, if it's okay. All from the same scene, so any combination of:
- HummerBrody lying upside down in the rubble and trying to get back up
- KK and Chain talking about how they think he's hot (bonus points for Zapp's reaction too)
- Hummer sparkling
i want to protect this genocidal smile
Her love is unstoppable!
such a qt
Also, don't forget that this isn't just sticking your dick in crazy, it's like having sex by proxy with EVEN CRAZIER crazy.
posting more best girl
What an adorable girl, what an unlucky boyfriend.
Here's the first one.
How can there be such a discrepancy in the estimated number of casualties? Is there nobody to keeping track of this shit? Is everybody in Hellsalem's Lot a paperless squatter?
Dat sideways mono psycho-eye plus blush.
W-what is this feeling?
This is so cute, I can't even. He's like a reverse Weeble.
Pretty much, there are shit tons of random aliens and vampires and monsters and shit all over the place, coming through dimensional cracks and shit. And apparently this kind of thing is a daily occurance. Thousands of people dying in some random incident is pretty normal. They must have some insane system to rebuild it all though.
Thanks so much!
For your reference, there's a raw for episode 5 here, which is cleaner and has nicer colors (although there's an ad crawl in a few places): http://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=686077
Ugh, why? Don't you know ZAPP RENFRO SUCKS DICKS?
Third, sorry I couldn't get a perfect loop.
Lots of construction companies and workers.
Aye, I know, but my ISP restrict torrent so I rely on DDL from HorribleSub, if I manage to finish the torrent soon then I'll redo it. Sorry.
What 'bowl'? That would apply that there's any kind of competition. It's not at all necessary to compete for Zapp's affections when he'll hand out participation awards to anyone who shows up. Only the award is a dicking.
Half the workforce must be in construction. Kinda hilarious when you think about it. Millions of people working to rebuild something that might be trashed the next day, and doing that every day with no end in sight.
No, don't worry about it. It's more than enough that you go out of your way to make these by request, and they look great the way they are. Thank you again.
I fucking love ending/opening themes with all the characters (regardless of affiliation) dancing together. I've rewatched the ED like a thousand times over, just grinning stupidly and feeling really happy. I love this shit.
Nah. Chain already has her sights set on best man anyway; we should be cheering her on and appreciating how moe she is when she messes up and gets flustered.
I wish I had that skill.
They must have been quite a cute couple back in the day, though I doubt anyone saw them together and lived to tell the tale.
Their idea of a fun evening together would probably start with razing entire city blocks to the ground to dance on the ashes. And that's just the foreplay.
Here you go. Which scene of her driving?
you're the best. off to loop this a thousand times.
>Which scene of her driving?
this is the one I was thinking of
When does the casts bring up the kings stuffs? They never get mentioned in the anime
Also there's so much that i don't understand, maybe because i'm just an idiot, still enjoying the ride nonetheless
Ain't gonna happen as long as she has her Sempai.
It is kinda hot, though.
Anon are you implying that Starphase-sempai is not a hot piece of ass
because you would be incorrect
Don't know if I should be happy or annoyed that BONES created an original character just for romance purposes.
Stephen exhaling after he uses his blood arts, if you please.
I think we have Nightow to blame for this.
According to Japanese fans on Twitter, in the new chapter from the April Jump SQ
they get handcuffed together.
A patient, how else could she be talking to the doctor.
Here you go, sorry it took so long.
Reference or coincidence?
Considering Hellsing past week I'd say reference.
Imagine her rolling like that on the bed during orgasm.
And then there's the lover's umbrella behind them aswell.
Really sorry it took this long.
If you're still here, could you make the one of the truck flying above the city? Bonus points if you include pic related shot
Here you go.
That was cruel, she's just a girl in love, her eye was sparkling when she was calling their names.
Too bad she is destined to die/disappear at the end,
unless Nightow decided to incorporate the animate original character back into the manga.
>tfw Leo failed to protect her smile
That was adorable, I thought it was the generic falling sound effect at first.
Her scenes are mostly crammed into the beginning and end of each episode. She doesn't get in the way of the characters people like from the manga. She's very peripheral to all of the cast except our protagonist and the apparent antagonist.
It's impossible to do a complete stitch of her head, sorry.
>I like your penis, I'll cut it off and attach it on next boyfriend
By the end she'll turn into Dr.Frankenstein and create the perfect boyfriend from all the body parts she like.
It's pretty smoothly done. Sets up the anime plot and characters without stepping on toes or the manga plot.
The fact that Leo doesn't have a manga girl just makes the setup easier.
This is what I mean, there's a few missing frames in the top left of her haed.
>I like your penis, I'll cut it off and attach it on next boyfriend
Probably not worth it. Even if she calls your name too every time she sees Brody and Hummer.
>animu OC donutsteel
You guys are setting yourselves up for disappointment. It's never worked before, it won't work here.
We all know that anon, but at least let us dream a bit longer.
Her part got extended in the anime (which was a good thing in my opinion because she's great). In the manga she mostly just explained herself and went after Brody/Hammer.
>mfw I find out her seiyuu is over 50
How can she still make this voice? And she also did Ushio's voice in Clannad when she was in her mid 40s.
Leo is absolutely Based. This dude made more fuckin progress than any other MCs combined this season. No fuckin drama but just a sweet and comfy hug while watching Twins. Based fuckin Bones, fuck even Twins the movie added layer together characters. Matsumoto Rie truly knows how to effectively use everything to her advantage. And here I see some shit heads that say the director needs to do a better job.
The show's most likely just reflecting the different culture, but I liked how natural it is to just asking a girl out on a date opposed to the love confession and the angst associated you often see in anime.
>confess love to White
>scare her off
>Like, you know
>Like taking back
I know some of you aren't big fans of Bahi JD, but he just tweeted some genga.
She has an extremely girly and playful manner of speech in the raws which isn't very translatable, I think the translator was just kind of at a loss over how to convey it.
It's been officially licensed and the books have been translated up to volume 7.
I tried it on my bed which is the same shape. The part where you roll over your back is easy but going over your knees has more resistance and is extremely difficult to do at any speed, enough that it detracts from the spontaneity of it.
You gotta learn to enjoy anime, man.
Nope, it's definitely the knees, and I held them closer to myself than she does in the gif. I have to assume that the real reason for the disparity is as follows:
Vampires are amazing.
This anime is really good. I loved Chaika ironically. But Kekkai is the real deal. My hope for Bones resurrected.
Also this pic is cool for your mobile background.
>trying to become a cute anime
Reminds me of those kids who would run with arms hands behind them after they saw Sonic do it.
Just tried it myself. Starting the reverse roll at any speed is a little tricky. Also, the rolling covers more distance than you'd expect from watching at Aligura, so you'd need a long surface.
Maybe you have to be really short or something. She's shorter than Leo, so that's saying something.
This show is so fuckin fun that you have some anons trying to roll like Aligura.
I don't know if Leo has shitty or godlike luck
Chain didn't even touch the net until after all the force was lost and the net was bouncing back.
Chain is crazy light, or anime physics.
A bit of both. On the one hand, he's gotten kidnapped a few times now and is regularly confronted with mortal danger. On the other hand, he keeps getting out of those situations and somehow manages to stay in fairly good health despite all the shit he deals with. He's no Abrams, but so far he's doing okay.
Chain can be pretty cold-blooded sometimes, even when she cares.
Best girl gives no fucks
Who's ready for burgers and friendship next week.
Thus far I have fairly highly disliked bahi's work, but this scene was pretty good. He didn't break the model nearly as much as he usually does and the animation wasn't too wibbly wobbly, and the cut at >>124877032 actually had nice form/volume which I always thought he was bad at conveying.
More ready beyond belief. It's going to be cuteness overload.
Here's what we know so far :
She has a brother who is presumably the vampire boy with glasses (King of Despair or something? I forgot.) He can change his eyecolor from red to green (and they look similar to her eyes).
I still think White is a vampire but who knows.
>cut the original content
>use that time to introduce new character that does not interact with original content
Thanks Bones, instead of werewolf Kobayuu we got to see more adventures of beta mc.
you mean the story from the third volume? Probably cut because of drugs and because it's just outright irrelevant to the main story. Though next episode is also irrelevant, so I don't know what to think.
They are also skipping the entire 4th volume for some reason. This is why I don't get why they are adapting mushroom dude next episode.
Matsumoto's strength is in those quiet moments. She knows how to go from manic to touching at the drop of a hat.
White sitting farther and scooching closer reminded me of Koto and her mom. Hell, they're both KugiRie.
>this kind of budget
I don't even think it is the budget, I think it is excellent directing and excellent staff.
Many of those intense, blood pumping moments have frames that don't really look "well drawn", but the sense of movement and cinematic timing is really nice.
Look at the not-chess for example, There were barely any sakuga moments there, but it still managed to show how fucking intense klaus is.
Yeah, this. Aligula talks like a valley girl. I'd have probably translated it the sane way, because the only other options would be to put question marks after like every fourth word she says or have her using a bunch of outdated, cringey slang.
Zapp doing his one job.
They probably calculated his airspeed velocity and flight path and stuff to calculate where he would land so they knew where they'd need to be to catch him.
***,*48位/***,*52位 ★ (**1,825 pt) [*,*85予約] 2015/06/17 Kekkai Sensen
Anon it's doing better than most airing anime this season. In fact it's doing really well considering it doesn't pander and have unnecessary fanservice shit.
Really fucking well actually. The highest it was at 41 a month back and since dropped but now it's been slowly back up.
amazon page if you don't trust stalker.
I think I'd rather they did the mushroom chapter than the fighting ring chapter since we already had a "Klaus is so cool" episode and those tended to be the chapters I skimmed through on rereads of the manga anyway, although I'll miss some of the Zapp stuff and little nuggets of character interaction. I might've preferred the butler chapter but I think it would take too much of a budget to do justice to the car scene, maybe if this winds up being successful and recouping enough of the budget they can release a good OVA for it or put it in season 2. I'm kind of glad the next episode isn't going to have a big action scene. But if there's one story from volume 4 that I wish they'd adapt instead it would be the KK one for sure, she needs more screentime and it was super cute and short so it would leave them ample time to put in all their anime original stuff instead of squeezing it into other episodes which already have so much going on.
For japan to have taste, I never thought I'd see the day.
But still, what is more important is the manga sales. If it do too well, it could go to the NGNL bad end, or do just enough and give us our much wanted S2.
Guys, please don't take preorder points seriously. Actually, I wouldn't take preorders seriously at all. What's likely to sell a lot is obvious when attached to a popular brand, but BDs/DVDs that sell the most are at some times random, with variables that we have little way of understanding.
Plus, it just promotes shitposting. Just enjoy your favorite shows. Don't worry about how many overpriced BD sets are being sold.
>it seems it's moving to Jump Square Magazine.
This worries me a little, I don't know how well the one part chapters will fare with the shortened monthly length.
I don't know the source for this, but apparently SQ is just a temporary home. Jump is supposed to be starting up a new magazine in July and Kekkai Sensen should be moving there.
>Don't worry about how many overpriced BD sets are being sold.
It is not about the BD sales, it is about how much attention is being brought to the source material, it is quite nice to have a reference after all.
No BD = no attention, and high attention will give us S2.
Also, it is nice to support Nightow even a little bit by buying is merchandise.
>Jump is supposed to be starting up a new magazine
How many magazine is this now? There already is Weekly, Monthly,
HxH and D.Grayman, and few more.
Do they even have enough decent enough manga artist to represent the magazine?
>instead of squeezing it into other episodes which already have so much going on.
Adding little bits of White to other episodes works way better than having a White episode would. It's there to humanize and to be cute, and that would be totally undercut if it wasn't interspersed, giving a picture of Leo's personal life.
They'll probably put Kekkai Sensen in as the flagship and fill the rest of it with new series, one-shots and specials. I'm expecting SQ.19 again just with a new and exciting name to appeal to consumers.
For many late night series, BDs are a pretty good indicator of how popular it is. Stuff like Log Horizon or Rinne are NHK shows that don't rely on that, TV ratings would be a better indicator for those. Then there's any Sunrise mecha show in which merchandise plays a big role.
Of course, I want to Nightow to get a boost from this as well.
However, I want this to be a commercial sucess for the director after the commercial failure that was Kyousougiga and the fact she immediately joined BONES and got to do direct a series. That's a pretty big leap of faith on BONE and TOHO's part. If this sells well, she might get more work. (Working on Kekkai Sensen s2 perhaps?)
I can't get over that he took her to watch Twins. Or that it was used as a setup for a serious moment between the two of them. It's just so awkward and dorky, yet at the same time it's cute and familiar.
>commercial failure that was Kyousougiga
Still saddened by how much potential it had, and how it only came out as bit better than mediocre.
Even Rie Matsumoto couldn't save a series where it was supposed to be short and sweet.
There was some speculation last month that she left Toei on bad terms, given the production woes of the Kyousougiga tv series. Anybody watching that show though can clearly see she knows her shit.
The JP wiki article mentioned that Chain was modeled on a Japanese actress named Yoko Suzuki, so I looked her up.
Excellent taste, Mister Nightow.
>Even Rie Matsumoto couldn't save a series where it was supposed to be short and sweet.
I actually thought like it would've benefited from one more episode so it didn't become so exposition laden in the last few episodes and making it easier to understand Inari's motivations, but it's clear they didn't have the money for that.
Can anyone make a Webm of the Scene where Hummer and Brody go full carnage and punch the Monster Truck while immediately getting smashed back into the tall buildings. Plus could you make it have sound in it.
It'll be nice to have them slow down and adapt one chapter again, the episodes have been super fun but they're so condensed with information, they need some breathing room after a while.
I don't disagree but when you're adapting 100 pages of manga into a single episode and then still dedicating a portion of that episode to original stuff, a lot of small things get cut, and while they may not be necessary it makes me a little sad to see some of the bits I really like miss out on the Matsumoto treatment.
Fucking Toei. The worst part of Toei is that they will hold on to their IP forever if there's ever chance of a cash grab, even if they have no intention of doing it any justice. She'll never be able to do anything with it again.
This is some Konami, Kojima and metal gear shit.
Don't remind me of D Gray Man's hiatus anon.
He was unexpectedly mellow for a bank robber/arsonist/coke fiend/rapist/murderer.
Perhaps being locked up with/in Hummer for so long chilled him out a bit. I'm not quite sure why Chain and KK are so into him, but he definitely seems like a healing character; this page in the manga made me laugh so hard. Their interaction in the park was kind of sweet, too.
Maybe they used to play that in the truck when they made out and it gave her the idea to try and rekindle their romance the way she did.
Anyone know what that theater space is called or where it is? It looks nice. There's a place in Shinjuku that's so similar-looking I thought they used that for the reference at first.
Inari's motivation was clear as day, he was just a depressed, quite selfish dad.
I think it was that characters got bit too much time to develop, and DRAMA ensued.
But then again, I don't really know how else it could have ended.
The actress; she was in The Princess Blade and Ju-On among other stuff. She also did the voice of Michiko in Michiko and Hatchin, which means I love her and didn't even know it, because she kicked ass in that role. I really wish she'd do another anime.
Also, image search turned up this. My fucking sides. Nightow sure knows what he likes.
He was committing crimes before age 5, holy shit. I'm dying.
>vamp girl drives a monster truck around town to find her love
>truck is shaped like a fist
>she says love is about who pushes harder and gestures punching motions in the air when she says it
>she gets rejected by her crush when he punches her love (which is a truck) away
>he pushed harder
Fucking pottery. All the subtlety of a pie to the face, and immensely because of it.
Yeah, I understood Inari's motivations. You wouldn't believe the number of people who were confused that he was intentionally acting like the villain in most of ep 9 though.
Given how many people are complaining how episodic and random even Kekkai Sensen is, I would've loved something more in tune with the ONAs but it wouldn't be cohesive enough for people.
World building web short sequel about Koto performing Shrine duties never.
Yeah it seems the reason she was having problems was because of her wrist. Though it seems Hoshino has switched to digital rather than traditional so that helps her. And she announced something about the publishing of D Gray Man, so it may come back this year.
>Brody and Hummer
Took me way too long to notice this.
Rewatching the first episode, I just noticed this alien dude looks off to the direction where Leo runs off chasing after Sonic
So much happens in the background and details of this show.
-ba dum tish-
Seriously though, that's pretty damn funny.
The cheering blue guy when Zapp catches Leo and Chain absolutely slayed me. Also, everyone in the crowd here.
Do you think there's an unofficial Libra fanclub full of HL normals who get together to exchange photos they took on the scene and have waifu fights about which member is best girl?
The show is like this from top to bottom.
On top of that, the crazy little girl asks Leo about his crush during the episode where that shit is directly relevant to him. Sure it isn't subtle, but it's clever and stylish, and the references and themes are fucking great.
>Still saddened by how much potential it had, and how it only came out as bit better than mediocre.
Want to elaborate on why you think the Kyousougua TV series was only mediocre?
I think it managed to do a lot of things very well. The ONAs were expanded on nicely and all the characters got their chance to shine, the family drama was handled reasonably well and fell totally in line with the tone of the series rather than focusing on the multiple worlds and shit, and while the exposition of the plot was handled poorly, the plot itself wasn't bad at all, just a little convoluted and was wrapped up very neatly in the end.
Not to mention the series had some really creative visuals at times, lovable characters, a stellar soundtrack, great voice acting and had just all round good directing that I thought managed to overcome the heavy production issues the series was plagued with.
Definitely not something that I would consider mediocre or even close to it, but you're right that the series lost a lot of potential thanks to Toei's inability to overcome its cheapness for 10 fucking episodes.
She's an otherworldly being beyond our comprehension, age is probably irrelevant.
>World building web short sequel about Koto performing Shrine duties never.
I never knew how much I wanted this until now.
>And she announced something about the publishing of D Gray Man, so it may come back this year.
>so it may come back this year.
I don't know, anon. I don't know.
If it interests you and you have a pretty decent ear for moon, I've got a drama cd track to share
Basically Inari and Koto have a mission together in another Kyoto. Koto picked up a dog which she "found" (same phrasing as when Myoue found Yakushimaru). They're supposed to deal with some explosive sheep. Koto does all the work while Inari lazes around like a lil shit.
The radio drama stuff is all really cute. Some of them give chances to characters who didn't get to interact much in the show (Koto harasses Kurama like an annoying little sister in one, Yakushimaru takes his mom to see the city and other random stuff).
I could look at this all day.
Anon, I love you.
>lost a lot of potential thanks to Toei's inability to overcome its cheapness for 10 fucking episodes.
Well yes, the show was great. It really was better than mediocre, but then again, think in relative terms.
There was a time when I first saw Kyousogiga when I was just searching up S&W ost on youtube. How the whole world came to, the livliness, the animation, it was point on. I went apeshit when I saw that there were a continuation coming out.
But then the series lost its charm. Still charming, but not as much. Imagine Chaika without her eyebrows, like that.
When you overhype for something, and don't reach your expectation, one is bound to be bitter anon.
...And man fawning over those riddiculusly powerful guys, because every man have that little gurl inside
There are 13 Elder vampires, formerly including Gilica. Femt and Aligula have nothing to do with them; they're part of the 13 Kings, of which Don Lalalalalalabamba is also one. They're different things; no relation (except the number 13).
