I don't get this whole "poor Rider" thing . Just look at her.
She's got, what? Purple squared eyes that turn people into stone, hair down to her ankles, stands a whole head (almost two) taller than every other woman in Japan, that face, those legs, a full firm set women everywhere would kill and consume their mothers' flesh for, can ride ANYTHING, bleed out of her neck without dying and shoot out a fookin' winged horse like ordnance. And boots. Seriously, those boots.
She's got everything laid out quite nicely for her.
>Faster than most servants
>Eyes instakill all without a high enough prana level
>Rides nigh-invulnerable beast
>NP fucks most of the cast
>Won Grail war in HF
She's about on par with Saber and Cu, all things considered. Her chain daggers are weak weapons, though.
The "poor Rider" thing comes mostly from her backstory, variously involving being bullied by her sisters for being mortal and thus becoming older and taller, where they were basically considered the ideal Greek goddesses in their loliness. So Rider has the height complex where she thinks of herself as unsightly. On top of that having to deal with constant swarms of human warriors whose love of the trio turned to fear and hatred, and becoming full on Gorgon Level 100 over time to protect her sisters but ending up eating them after she more or less became completely monstrous, and finally the circumstances of her being killed by an overwhelmed and outmatched Perseus aka the successful Shinji that basically got a lucky break with the five Noble Phantasms he was given. Then she gets summoned by a useless non-mage that abuses his sister who she becomes the wingman for, only to herself fall for Emiya Protagonist-kun and subsequently feel guilty about giving him succubus dreams and sucking his swordjuices behind Sakura's back. Being Medusa is suffering.
