What is your opinion on the seiyuu industry of this decade? Seems like more and more good veterans are getting irrelevant while at the same time there's not enough good new ones who can replace them.
Sure, there are a few good talent appearing in the last few years(Ozawa Ari, Ueda Reina, Taneda Risa etc) but that's just not enough, in my opinion.
HanaKana a shit.
While I'm fearful that we may never find our next Nobuyuki Hiyama, I'm still grateful for the industry that gave us TakeuchiP, and gives second chances to the likes of Satomi Arai.
Is the anon who wanted Tanechan's pics here? I can post some if you want.
If veterans (particularly those who were once main character material) don't find their specialization they get obsolete. Shizuka Itou is still a go-to for younger-than-middle-aged sexy women, so she's not easily replaced.
Thanks. I need to expand my Taneda Risa folder. Also, thank you to the anon who posted the adorable Taneda Risa webm yesterday.
None. I think 2 of them aren't even working as seiyuu right now.
No idea, but looks like something funny.
I remember the first time I saw this and the post along with it. The post was something alone the lines of
>you'll never get to be the cameraman and play around with Taneda Risa
Her call-and-response during concerts begins with "Kashikoi, kawaii?" ( lit. Cool and cute??), to which the audience responds "Elichika!". She then concludes with "Harasho!".
This one was different because she wanted to the audience to say their part in a whisper and this time they succeeded causing her to freak out like a qt.
Don't mind me, just posting best Seiyuu that never gets main roles anymore.
I heard a rumor she was gonna be in Koe no Katachi, but I'm gonna ignore that
She's not Ayaneru without the soft nasal whines.
Good question. She doesn't have a blog or anything so it's anyone's guess. Hidan no Aria AA radio has been hilarious though. I never knew Kayanon and Ayaneru would make such a great duo.
What's KanaHana up to lately? I don't recall hearing her in any shows I watched last season or this season.
I'm really looking forward to her doing a cartwheel in the next episode. (Or at least I think that was her).
She's more a like a team player.
Usually got cast as the other girls in an ensemble anime, like Wakaba, Gakkou, and HnA this season.
Also her AT-X show with Suzumura is pretty good.
Amamiya is always put on the main girl, can't wait how much Shiho will be shoehorned on every episode in the im@s ML anime.
If you have more pictures you're willing to share, I'd love to save them. You can never have too many pictures of Tane-chan.
Ordered this shit today. I'm a fan of Gochiusa so if it happens to have cute pics of Uchida Maaya and Taneda Risa it's a nice bonus.
She's been great so far and Fujiwara Keiji in Utawarerumono is absolutely perfect as always. Dude's got great chemistry with Taneda. So far I much prefer the new couple to Hakuoro and Eruru.
Range is overrated they need to be remarkable with their performance, seiyuu nowadays sound similar with each other and unremarkable despite range that is also because they play safe with type cast doing what they think they are the best.
Ari Ozawa is the name people see a lot but doesn't care much, nips even call her one hit wonder, she is still new she needs to be more remarkable and doing more than just moe characters
Can't stand her in healing shows like NNB or Gochiusa. Completely ruins some episodes for me, even though I generally like her in other roles.
I'm the complete opposite, she basically makes the show for me in NNB and GochiUsa. To each their own, I guess.
Love Live, huh?
I wonder if I should try that after all.
>constantly find myself assuming Saori Oonishi was born in 1988 because like every seiyuu she associates with besides Inori Minase was born in '88 or '87
>only thing with even an attempt at a birth year says 199x
I don't habeeb it.
It's just another idolshit show.
The whole plot is that the school is going to close due to the low amount of new students, so they form an idol group to increase the school's popularity etc.
I like the music and the girls interacting is fun, however, don't expect any character development in the Anime. You have to read their diary's to understand them more, but not all of them are fully translated.
Don't get me wrong, I like the franchise to the point that I've invested a lot of money into it (Figures, CD's and microtransactions on the mobile game), but the Anime is just boring bullshit with some horrible forced drama near the end. I say you give their songs a listen, at least the most popular ones, and then watch the Anime if you liked them enough.
Oh and the Seiyuu promo stuff like radio shows is pretty good. The cast have great chemistry. The mobile game is also fun "School Idol Festival" for Android and iOS. It's a Rythm game where you build your teams with cards of the girls.
Burd a best
You faggots are the new cancer of these threads.
At least I don't have to see Aoi and her ugly midget face anymore. Well, at least not as much.
Poor Rippi had to trade her chin for rice.
That's not Harasho.
Most of them are pretty cute: Emitsun, Yoshino, Mimorin, Rippi, Kussun, Shikaco, etc.
>implying she isn't a miracle of the universe
I think they're all cute except for Soramaru and Rippi.
She's ugly, man.
Anyways, that doesn't mean I don't like her. She's pretty fun.
Kussun, Shikaco and Pile also belong in that group.
You just have shit taste, so it's all good.
Hi anons. I hope you guys would at least stop posting inferior sluts. Here's a superior alternative.
>Tane-chan says she loves Transformers
>not sure which version she meant since she's old enough to have better taste than Aoi Yuuki and I wasn't entirely awake
Not enough newbies are coming through who keep appearing consistently.
Sad times, Japan needs to stop using the classic ones even if they're top tier.
I was wondering where the hell her roles were but apparently forgot she's in a shit ton of VN's
also, she was offered a modeling catwalk job, so this should be gud.
I definitely prefer more veteran seiyuus over the new batch. People like Kotono Mitsuishi, Aya Hisakawa, Atsuko Tanaka, Michie Tomizawa and a few others.
Sawashiro is easily the best of this decades talents.
but i'd rather listen to more of the veterans. too bad they're relegated to minor roles nowadays.
I know she's been around since the late nineties but in recent years she's been dominating everything and for good reason.
she's actually my 2nd favourite after Kotono.
my point still stands.
I really, really like her voice as Claudia in Asterisk. It does things to my heart boner.
Next year is the year
80s-90s seiyuu will make a huge comeback
New people with relatively unique voices are fine, but most rookies, both male and female, are nowhere near interesting enough to deserve work that could have been done by actually competent older seiyuu.
She debuted in 99', built her career quickly during the 00's and got popular enough to get lot of main roles from major titles by the end of it. Compared to that, stuff that she has done in 10's isn't significant enough to say she "belongs" to this decade (unlike people who actually got their breaks during it like Yuuki Aoi).
Sweet Tweet Time with Sugita was glorious. Sugita's talk was great, her singing was great and even the fat basist's MCing was pretty good.
Also, she was nice on Yamaking.
IM@S is shit, boy.
Love Live Stronk.
The reign will continue with Sunshine.
>Aoi never got the date with Sawashiro she wished for
Only Nanjo and perhaps Mimorin that's worth a shit out of all LL seiyuu. Rest are failed singer (Pile), washed off child gravure model (Rippi), and some nobodies.
The sunshine bunch are all looks like AKB-rejects too.
She isn't in anything announced for next season so far. That said, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka also doesn't get any major role this season, despite the endless supply of shitty battle harem light novel adaptations.
I'll give you one but you can't have any more.
A lot more emphasis on looks and some blatant favoritism in casting by certain studios but not totally bereft of talent. I'm not sure how long the popularity span of your average modern seiyuu is going to last but I'd say definitely not as long as some of the veterans still making it into the odd show.
When it comes to male seiyuu the industry seems to prefer shitty ones with little charisma or range in roles like Natsuki Hanae or Matsuoka. Maybe they'll improve some day like Yuki Kajiura did but somehow I doubt it in Hanae's case who only seems to exist to attract fujoshi and be favored by Sony the same way Amamiya is.
You can tell the favored already next Gen of the industry is Uchida, Taneda, Sakura though. Didn't even get a chance to get used to them before they were suddenly in every single show. The only one of those I'm convinced on as potentially interesting long term is Ayane Sakura but IMO she's already starting to wear out her welcome a little.
With audio. She seems really smug about it almost, like check it out girls watch this Idol trick I do where I make them bark in unison! Harasho~
Screaming Nanjo fanboy
Mimorin being herself.
She's like the definition of a Butterface. She kind of has a lazy eye too by the looks of it. If you do a youtube search for her you get about half videos like
this and half like
Yuuki Aoi standing next to someone that is not Hayami Saori is kind of weird. Somebody clearly likes playing up the lesbian tension and homance between them.
In here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=639NHLHmdg0
Uchida Maaya + Uchida Yuma
>tfw the most beautiful japanese girl i've seen in my entire life is in my work place
She looks like Uchida Maaya + Hana Kana combined. She's short and pettanko with a very genki personality with a pretty clear voice. I think she could easily be an actress/seiyuu if she wanted to. How do I conquer her heart, /a/?
She already have a boyfriend though.
I'm sorry for blogging. ;_;
Man I love me some Mimorin!
Images like that always put me on tilt.
>Yukachi bullying Mikako Izawa
Idols already get posted at >>>/jp/. And I feel like seiyuu are more /a/-related than /jp/.
We don't need boards for every little thing
Go discipline your mods
This is correct, they are 3DPD and need to be moved to /jp/
Also hiro., are you going to deal with your rogue moderator? He's still deleting non-pornographic nudity, like in the figures thread.
Anime idols or live idols? /jp/ catches the live idols and seiyuu already, and we sometimes discuss seiyuu as well.
In either case we hardly talk about seiyuu enough for it to warrant its own board; it would just be a waste of space.
Yes but they voice 2D characters. And a voice is an important part of a character. So much so that they can influence our impression of them.
Kyon voiced by Sugita gives a different vibe than one voiced by Matsuoka for example. Kirei is synonymous to Jouji Nakata. And so on.
Anime fans who don't even care about seiyuu are familiar with names like HanaKana or Miyuki Sawashiro. That's like saying let's create a different board for the anime staff (director, writer, ... ) because they're technically not 2D characters.
adding boards =/= good
fixing goards = good
seriously, focus first on fixing the boards that we have now, it will be better in the long run
also for fuck´s sake kill this fucking mod holy shit
Seiyuu's on /a/, idols on /jp/. It's been done like that for a long time, and there's not enough disucussion on that to justify a board in my opinion.
2.5D is fine.
Separating anime and seiyuu discussions would be pretty stupid.
Actually, if you are willing to give us some of your time, could you post in the buyfag (anime figures) thread so we can get clarification on what we can and cannot post?
Who are you favourite male and female voice actors?
No Hiro-tan. Please listen to me. This is a board for discussing ANIME. Anime is not just 2D drawings. It is made by 3D people including Seiyus, Directors, Writers, Composers, and artists.
You cannot separate the discussion into 'anime' and 'people who make anime'. That's a bad idea.
I'd rather threads somewhere slow than people needing to bump the thread off of page 10 several times to not even make it to bump limit then waiting around a few days for an opportunity to post about something honestly.
Seiyuu aren't really limited to just /a/ content, which does cause some issues when dealing with things like 18+ seiyuu and radio people.
I'm sure there are plenty of people that would prefer /jp/ wasn't idol generals.
Dear Emperor Hirohito
please add word filters that turn 'smh' into 'nano' and 'tbh' into 'desu'
Seiyuu discussion is too niche for separate board and they're 2.5D. People aren't forced to discuss them if they don't want to.
You are right
They end up getting discussed here because they are relevant to anime, just like we sometimes discuss influential directors or writers (Akiyuki Shinbo, Miyazaki, Mari Okada, etc.)
The problem is that discussing 3D, especially attractive women, inevitably attracts those who only care about attractive women and want to post about them because they're attractive, not because of their career or their relevance to anime.
In other words, while seiyuu discussion is /a/-related, it doesn't need nearly the sort of presence it currently has. These threads are nearly perpetually, and functionally generals, because posters who only want to talk about attractive 3D asian women, and don't care about anime or manga come and use them.
Maybe you should just stick to just creating containment boards for specific topics that eclipse the general subject of a board.
No better time than the present to get him aware of its existence since the thread has been falling apart since the mods are actively deleting content and banning people.
This is a massive slippery slope since it then degenerates into other things. Have a post that is about the director or staff within a thread about the series is alright. But having a thread specific for the organics is a terrible idea.
But they're the people that make the anime. Why shouldn't we talk about Anno and his other projects besides Eva? If they're not related to the industry they don't belong to /a/. We can have overlapping content with /jp/, there's no reason to fragment anything.
Are certain screenshots with subtitles banned now even if their intent is not pornographic?
Tane-chan a cute. I look forward to seeing her live at the Rhodanthe* concert on new years day with Nishi Asuka and Naobou.
I also love Sumipe.
We can't read moonrunes ;_;
Btw, which JoJo would you fuck?
It's like you're trying to create more problems when you say confusing things like that.
Seiyuu / Directors threads are allowed for obvious reasons.
Did you read Koe no Katachi the story of a deaf girl and bullying?
Yes, but there is a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT in 5 days at Fujimi Fantasia Bunko Festival. Do you think they will announce a new anime? If they do, do you think KyoAni will do it?
Hiro please check this image out regarding that mod's powertrip
This thread alone has more unique posters than that.
Even if you discount the bloat due to Hiro being here and retards hopping in the numbers of posters is usually bigger than that.
I don't know where you came with the idea that boards on the slow side are inherently bad.
I want to discuss seiyuu outside of idol seiyuu that get spammed in these threads, there is a lot of idiots that come in these threads to spam pictures posted a million times already or threadly dose shit. It's all bloat and kill discussion, so does the fact that "discuss seiyuu" is too wide of a suggest and you end with a hundred conversations going on at the same time. All contributes to killing discussion.
As a rule of thumb you get better seiyuu discussion in unrelated threads because you are able to stick to a topic.(e.g seiyuu in X anime)
hiroyuki皇帝陛下, which To Love-Ru heroine you think is best?
M8, you should probably slap the shit out of your mods.
This, Hiro, please address the subject on all our minds, nipples are allowed as long as they are spoiled? A simple "yes" would defuse a lot of controversy caused by that mod.
Seiyuu is 3DPD and should really belong on /jp/. Please do not listen to the people claiming that it's "2.5D", that's just a half-assed excused for them to make their normalfag interests more socially acceptable on /a/. The difference between discussing directors and artists of shows who are essentially 3D between discussing seiyuus who are also 3D is that the latter of the fanbase would rather worship and jerk off to the women, just look at this thread for example. Hope I made myself clear, Hiro-tan.
Yes, however pictures of figures that show nipples, that are not hentai in nature, are being banned when they were not before when it was fine to post them in the past.
Can we post pictures of anime merchandise that have nipples, but are not pornographic in that thread?
What better time is there to address the concerns of the citizens then in a time of crisis?
I don't think it's necessary, but I wouldn't mind. But on the other hand I don't care about real idol groups, only Seiyuu.
Hiro the mod who made this >>132416116 is going directly against what we had already agreed upon in the posts in my picture. Can you please tell that mod to fuck off please?
He already said it's ok. The mod is going on a power trip
Seiyuu is not just "people who make anime"
Say I am playing FF Type 0 right now. In that game Seven is voiced by a seiyuu that works basically exclusively for Square Enix on video games and has never voiced any anime. She isn't /a/, is she? But it doesn't make much fucking sense to talk about her on /v/ either.
Seiyuu radio shows that aren't for any particular show (or say, Radio 4Gamer) aren't really related to anime. App games aren't anime. Dubbing isn't anime.
It's not that simple.
In a sense it technically wouldn't be bad as it would give free reign for 24/7 discussion, however it's more like /a/ doesn't really know enough/care enough about seiyuu to make it a live board. Like for example we wouldn't have thousand-post discussions about how good/bad Kana Hanazawa was in whatever her latest show was; we just go "eh, it's that voice she does over and over again, I (don't like it / still like it)." and that' basically it.
Hiro if a new Full Metal Panic anime gets announced can you change the 4chan banner to this and loop this music on /a/ for a whole day?
Then take it to /jp/.
If you're discussing Seiyu's and their roles in anime then you should be able to freely discuss it on /a/.
If you're discussing them in regards to japanese culture then you should do so on /jp/.
I think posting pictures of seiyuu, discussing their real lives, the seiyuu industry/career path etc should be /jp/.
Discussing how seiyuu are performing in an anime is totally appropriate for /a/ imo.
reminder that the elevens told us that he was good a derailing conversations
hiro please, don´t give a reason to /a/ to hate you. I like you actually seem to give a fuck about us, so
answer the question that half of the goddamn thread is making you
what do you have to said about roguemod?
In my opinion, seiyuu discussion should only be allowed as long as it's directly related to anime. Anything other than that, about the seiyuu's private lives or unrelated radio shows or whatever, should go to /jp/.
Adaptation is when one medium is adapted to another.
So when a light novel has an anime about it made, that anime is called an adaptation of the light novel.
Most anime that air each season are adaptations of existing manga or light novels.
Which is why I'd like clarification.
First off, apologies to the Seiyu posters for posting this (when it's wholly off topic), but fortune favors the bold and since Hiro is here, I might as well just go all out.
Are pictures like this allowed in the anime merchandise thread?
Come on it's connected don't tell me we have to make two threads in different boards just to talk about one VA when we can do it in one. Also, this doesn't happen all the time.
Koe no Katachi is getting anime film by Kyoto Animation
I will wait new moot god
> Idols and Seiyu board?
Meh, idols mostly go on /jp/ (go look there, they have threads up all the time). I don't really mind the occasional seiyu thread on /a/. I don't particularly care for the topic, but it's not to the point where the board is flooded with seiyu threads and it would be more or less topical to the board itself.
>Seiyu is 3D
Not when they're voicing mai waifus.
/jp/ is an abortion. Historically it was made to get rid of Touhou/Type Moon/shit that moot thought was only tangentially related to Anime out of /a/.
"take it to /jp/" which is a wasteland is not a solution to anything, nobody but AKB/MonMusu fans go there anymore.
