The anime was pretty shit
>reused same two songs for every episode
>music was meh
>reused same animation sequences for every performance
>suffered from madhouse budget, most of it looked like shit
>while i commend their effort to find VAs who were fluent in english, it still sounded forced, especially for the characters who were actually supposed to be american
The manga is one of my favorites, but the adaptation was disappointing.

Put this shit on hold after 10 episodes. Expected an anime about the music industry and going from a garage band to global rock stars. Got a painfully slow shoe about some whimpy kid going through the high school motions. Not to mention it's QUALITY the anime. Does it get any better or should I just read the manga?
The Beck anime is shit. It deserves the hate it got here.
The manga is fucking Ace though, and I've never seen people explicitly hate it outside of preference so that's that.
Tonari no Seinfeld was the greatest anime of all time- I don't know why /a/ doesn't talk about it more though.
I mean look at this OP- what's not to love?
>>music was meh
Well yeah, the way the Manga described it, the songs were the greatest thing to come out of man's mouth. But then when you actually have to write the song, it's not
The first 13 or so episodes progressed steadily and had a nice thing going on. For some reason things got stale pretty quick after that and the rest of the series became quite shitty desu senpai. What a shame.
Keit-ai spin off, Niget-ai (I want to escape - Love - Nigger).
