>CTRL F JoJo
What's wrong with you, /a/?
One of the best characters, anyone else agree?
He's perfect, one shot about him going on errands for bossu when
I want to attack the rohan~
>cast includes japs, brit, sandnigga and french
>they travel throughout entire SA region and freely communicate with everybody
>implying japanese or english would suffice
In the very beginning? Japanese, I would say even Joseph and Avdol were speaking Japanese.
After they leave Japan? English. Almost all counties teach it as a second language, and other countries aren't shit at teaching second languages like America.
Polnareff, Jotaro, and Kakyoin could all feasibly speak English, especially considering it's Jotaro's mother's first language. Avdol is obviously well educated and a street-side fortune teller so he probably appeals to tourists.
And Joseph is Joseph.
Egypt Arc BD's how soon? They said early this month so could it be by the end of the week?
>She would intermittently lose memories, and later, as the disease threatened her life, her skin began to crease into rigid, origami-like folds. Johnny decided to take his wife to Japan, better that she spend her final days in her hometown. However, in his anguish, Johnny decided to retrieve the holy Corpse from New York City, hoping to use it to cure Rina. Chased by U.S. government agents, Johnny brought Rina and the corpse to Morioh Town, by the meditation pine. He cures her of her disease, hoping it would be sent to a stranger. When it rests on their young son George, Johnny takes him away, and (in pictures rather than narration) uses Tusk along with the Corpse to take the disease onto himself. He falls off his horse onto several gingko leaves, which transport a boulder atop his head.
Johnny had a hard life.
Joshuu described the feeling that his insides were melting, so my theory is that it reduces the bones and muscle to slime while slowly turning every piece of organic mass on his body to a sticky substance.
It's clearly activated by contact with Josefumi MK II's slimey fingerprints.
>Damo tells Hato he's been using her.
>She gets so mad she gains/manifests her stand.
Please Araki, I just want to see what her deal is. Also it would be funny if she got angry considering she's using him too.
He is obviously referring to the cereal sensation known as fruit brute
>Not Canned Heat
Come onnn. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vE4VlA_9OrI
Don't mind me, just posting some BEST GIRL here in this thread.
Here's my pick, but it might work better as a oneshot ED for Mikitaka's episode.
>Be a massive DIOfag
>literally don't give a shit about anything he did except Jonathan (never forgave him for that)
>read part 1
>art is not as good (meaning Dio is not as attractive yet, not dissing the manga)
>no Koyasu to give me eargasms
>basically Dio without his charisma that the anime gave him
>manga goes into greater detail of their childhood
>more development with Erina before KONO DIO DA
>fucking Danny flashbacks
I had a weird dream a few nights ago where Araki decided to retcon Yasuho completely out of canon and it made me legitimately upset. I'm gonna protect that smile.
Goddamn that's groovy as fuck, did the other openings get dubbed because this is genuinely decent.
When's T.M.Revolution going to do a JJBA OP?
When I first saw Kira I thought he was a Yakuza boss. I also thought Narancia was girl.
What other Jojo misconceptions did you have?
That pic related wasn't an edit and that DIO showed up to save Giorno in part five, I was really excited for it.
I fuking hate all of you.
>Thinking DIO gets to redeem himself
>Thinking DIO somehow survives without Jotaro knowing
>Thinking DIO gives a shit about his son
Same here, also I remember reading someone talk about Giorno being sent "into Infinite death" and automatically assumed that DIO saved him from that. The part 6 scens where DIO and Pucci are chilling on the couch and bed didn't help either, but this was all years ago.
I actually would've enjoyed something like that if it had the right buildup, it's still weird to think that DIO is finally dead.
I literally can't sleep at night until I have Daiya in my bed for cuddling purposes only until she comes of age and we can share all of our first moments together aka true love
Anyone else hoping for David Pro to make OVAs for Rohan at the Louvre and Dead Man's Questions after Part 4?
the batch file fucked it up
and fuck off I read it all this year
Hot Pants x Celibacy > You Heathens
>start reading part 7
>oh, horse race, thats pretty neat, I'd be nice to have a break from non stop stand battle shit
>horse race is immediately forgotten, have these Brokeback Mountain adventures starring Johnny and Gyro having nonstop stand battle shit
>they're both boring assholes with dull abilities (muh balls, muh nails)
Part 7 kinda sucked, isn't it.
>horse race is immediately forgotten
>Brokeback Mountain adventures starring Johnny and Gyro
That's a plus.
>nonstop stand battle shit
It's not nonstop, and pure racing would get boring quick.
>they're both boring assholes
Spin is fun as fuck, and Tusk is pretty much the most unique stand in the entire series.
>Tusk is pretty much the most unique stand in the entire series.
Level 1 is just shit that could be replaced by any pistol in a world. Levels 2 and 3 are Vanilla Ice: Stupider Edition. Intinite Spin is just a plot resolver.
If anyone didn't know, Part 4 seems to be completely colorized besides 3 or so chapters near the end (which might be done by the time you get to them)
mentioning for anyone else who wanted to reread it
Depends, did Kira piss off Fugo?
Currently reading PHF and I'm inclined to believe he might have a chance provided he's snapped, fucker is hardcore
2 is there to fill the giant plot hole of where the fuck did the masks come from and how come there are no ancient vampires, as well as introduce Joseph who was essential for literally everything that wasn't punching the shit out of someone in part 3.
Part 2 is about the Joestar line overcoming the curse rampant vampirism has left. Confronting the Stone Mask's creators directly.
It's about inheritance, Joseph conquerors everything that killed his predecessors. That's why Battle Tendency opens with Joseph countering and defeating the very ability that killed Jonathan.
if you want to make links that tenuous, then part 4 is included in your holy collection as well by virtue of explaining why 90% of the cast had Stand powers
The Joestar bloodline itself did start getting a bit convoluted after Stardust Crusaders but each of the original universe parts can be enjoyed both separately and as part of the greater whole, in my opinion
Except I'm not.
>The public will never hear the story of the proud life Jonathan Joestar lived
>But his ancestors will hear of it
It's one of the main themes of the whole manga. Stop copping out with
So you can continue spouting dumb shit.
as anon said here>>133077490
part 2 is about overcoming vampirism, confronting the ones responsible for everything up to that point, filling plot holes, and setting up part 3, which is the final confrontation with the unarguable main villain of the series. Part 4 is on it's own.
Bullshit. 4 introduces the arrow and uses Jotaro as a major character.
5 has very little connection character wise (Pol and Koichi barely) and the only overall plot contributions are origin of the arrow (mentioned but doesn't matter much) and requiems (never seen again)
Vento Aureo is an epilogue for Jonathan's bloodline. Since Giorno is his direct descendant. Giorno is the product of Jonathan and Dio's bizarre relationship and how he changes the fate of an entire situation because of his dual inheritance. He's the golden child who has the positive genes of both Dio and Jonathan.
>Thinking DIO gave a shit about any of his bastards
Also, What would be a good idea for a Death Grips named stand?
>The Powers that B
Now this is going to be stuck in my head for days. It happens every time.
Just got done re-reading Part IV color scans, and I can see where Kira fucked up: He got too close to Hayato, and after that, he called back Killer Queen to defend himself
What if Kira had just went to work instead of pestering Hayato? Would Part IV have ended with Kira living the peaceful life he wanted?
>implying that wasn't a joke
a matter of good taste
Think really hard about this.
KQ vs Soft and Wet
It makes my head hurt
Who the fuck even brought up samefagging? Who even claimed it? You're the first person to even use the term in the entire fucking thread.
Jesus christ, some people are too retarded to function, I don't even understand.
As much as I like this franchise, Araki is horrible about under-utlizing his characters. Part 7 is particularly bad in the case of characters like Mountain Tim and Soundman. They're supposed to be big deals in the setting, and very likable, interesting characters, and yet they barely get any screentime and die before getting to really explore there characters or get any fucking use out of them.
It's also bad for Diego and HP, but they're not quite as bad. Diego at least manages to be more of an interesting, complex character than Dio ever was even though he's a side character in a single part, and that's hilarious.
More Nurture than nature.
Also, what's going on with Dio's hand there?
What do you mean?
Also here is the superior jpg version.
Well it seems even some non-Joestars are born with Stands, and since Stardust takes place all over the world, and DIO takes in recruits from all over the world, it'd be reasonable to say that most of the people he recruited were natural stand-users.
The Fever (Best Deaf-grip song), and it's stand cry should be "IT GOES IT GOES IT GOES YUH!". Maybe the stand power has something to do with noise? Another good name, No Love.
>Is this the real life, or is this fantasy
>Caught in a shitstorm, no escape from reality
>Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see

>Because I'm easy come, easy go, little high, little low
>Anyway the upvotes go, doesn't really matter to me
>Mama, just stole a post
>Chose a random 4chan thread
>Upvotes rushing to my head
>Reddit is Gappy
You shut your whore mouth
I thought valentine had time related powers for most of the "who shot johnny?" chapter.
One of my friends thought Joseph was going to defeat kars by suddenly getting a stand in the end of part 2.
Did he not read first?
Post Part V EDs
GANGSTA GANGSTA GANGSTA GANGSTA
She's no Yasuho. Gappy knows it and I know it. Why can't you accept her as best girl?
>continuing to let yourself be lead on by this anon's ruse
Same for Narancia.
a young man is fine too
Not that many minsconceptions, but I've often gotten the hunch that Araki was building some major plot-element earlier but ditches it for some reason. See: Josuke going back in time and saving himself during the snowstorm, or papa yoshikage causing the big truck to possibly hit something. Later on you see Kira manipulating time and getting offed by an ambulance. I always thought he might've had more control over time and jumped time just to end up getting hit by that truck which his father blinded. Would've been poetic n shit.
Why is Terence's face always such a pleasure to watch?
It are scenes from an anime called Ristorante Paradiso, a slice of life/romance anime about a girl in Rome. I'd honestly say it's rather mediocre and obviously aimed at women, so don't expect much from it.
we are Ungalo you retards
The ideal scenario would have been that Dario died, and Dio's mom raised him and then got married to George by chance or some shit (you know George is the kind of nigga who'd take a poor woman for a wife if he fell in love, and Dio's mother was so kind HE loved her. Plus, she was beautiful without a shadow of a doubt, where do you think Dio got his looks from, fucking Dario?). I believe Dio would have been a dick to Jonathan at first, but then would have really become his friend/brother. Alas...
I think Dio had hell of a lot more potential to be evil then the average person, but with good upbringing it would have withered.
Is he wearing a bodysuit? It's noticeable when his pants slide down and his hips become visible, but his back and front are still being covered.
Same thing with Diego, he was a nice, sweet child before life fucked him up.
>/fit/ dude with a Stand who gets to live/hang out with DIO and spends all his time in the basement playing video games and making dolls which he infuses with souls of whomever he wants
Because Terence is living /a/'s dream.
Maybe. Honestly there's a lot of songs and bands that would make great stand names with neat abilities. Makes me wish I had enough friends into JoJo to do some sort of /tg/ thing with it, since that's the best excuse there is to just make up a bunch of stands.
I remember someone saying they would be making a tabletop JoJo campaign in the Part 4 Anime announcement thread, and I posted an idea for it off the top of my head, and honestly I've been thinking about it on and off for a while.
>someone saying they would be making a tabletop JoJo campaign in the Part 4 Anime announcement thread
That was me, l believe. And l did play the tabletop. My group is already planning to continue our story, it was a nice experience.
>Makes me wish I had enough friends into JoJo to do some sort of /tg/ thing with it
What is stopping you from doing it with your regular non-jojofan friends? Or even someone from the internet? Not all of my friends who played the tabletop were into JoJo at all, but it worked. Maybe some of them will even begin watching/reading JoJo because of it.
So you went ahead with the late 20th Century cops with stands busting a drug ring with stands idea? Neat. Did you make your PCs use The Police songs for stand names?
As for myself, I suppose I could see if I could throw something together. I've got one close friend into JoJo and a handful of friends who are no strangers to tabletop and anime. I'll look into it.
Some stuffs subbed all of part 3 as it came out. They are now in the process of resubbing (making sure that everything is as accurate and correct as possible) the BDs. They've released the pre-Egypt arc thusfar, and have stated that they are trying to get the remainder out during this month.
Additionally, HorribleSubs didn't sub part 3, they just put rips from Crunchyroll up.
Sounds too young for the part. Rikiya Koyama was perfect in ASB, I genuinely hope they keep him for the anime.
From reading a synopsis of Phantom Blood mentioning the stone mask had been found in an excavation, I thought the first part would have much more of an Indiana Jones feeling. I even went as far as thinking Jonathan was a young archaologist, the one that had dug up the stone mask (I'll admit that I got that idea from seeing pic related, notice the hat). I thought him and Dio used to be partners in said excavation, but Dio got to wield the stone mask and become a vampire, thus turned evil and became the archenemy of the Joestars.
Also, from seeing stills from All Star Battle and finding random pics of Stardust Crusaders (both manga and OVA) and Vento Aureo, I thought the series itself would have a much more nostalgic, classy feel to it.
why does part 7 in colour look like absolute trash? I read 4,5 and 6 in colour and they all look incredible, was part 7 the first one they did or what?
Naw man, if we're talking death screams Kira's "NANIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" that goes on forever is the best one.
Both. Dio was probably born off, like he had the makings of a serial killer from the beginning, and alcoholism is in his DNA.
Him having a really fucking shitty childhood just didn't help.
Man you can tell Araki had ideas for Sandman beyond just becoming Soundman. His tribe bitch even calls him Sandman. It was so sad to find out he was just villain of the week. He had such a cool introduction
I feel like Steel Ball Run went into a completely different direction than what Araki originally planned. Sandman and Pocoloco were definitely supposed to.be more important characters
You only read two parts, why are you already jumping to the conclusion that Joseph is best JoJo?
I played jump ultimate stars. I thought every jojo characters were in the same timeline and that they would fight togethers. I didn't know the "part" thing.
I expected more nationalities but instead, we get Italia, America, japan (and Egypte).
I hoped Narancia was best girl.
Hell if I know. All I know is he died.
And this is why I think Part 7 is not only one of the weaker parts, but pretty bad on its own. It's a disjointed mess that doesn't know where it's going half the time.
It's mostly liked due to the art, Johnny and Gyro, and the last quarter which is admittedly pretty fucking awesome.
The beginning before everybody gets stands is pretty good too.
Has there ever been a manga more batshit crazy than Stone Ocean?
Part 6 is just bizarre by jojo standards.
I feel bad for Jotaro. He could have had a happy family life if the remnants of DIO weren't around to fuck it up.
That said, I have to question why he married and had a child if he knew they'd be affected by the Stand stuff.
I feel sorry for Jolyne for having such a shitty father that was never around.
The excuse that Jotaro avoided Jolyne because he didn't want to get her involved with stands is bullshit because she ended up getting involved anyway, he has the strongest stand around and should've easily been able to protect her. It's even worse because he states that he didn't get to practice using timestop in years, implying that he never got in a real fight with another stand user outside of what's shown on screen.
Just as a warning, is Jolyne Cujoh from Stone Ocean a strong independent Nipponese woman who don't need no man or does she fall victim to Japanese gender stereotypes?
Jolyne is the manliest character in the series, but what the fuck do you mean by "Japanese gender sterotype"?
If we assume that he didn't get into stand fights at all or didn't get into any that were serious enough to require time stop, it's possible that he thought there were no longer any big threats to Jolyne, and that simply avoiding the issue and not aiding her in awakening her stand would suffice in preventing her from encountering other stand users, as they wouldn't be attracted to her. When he wasn't busy doing marine biology stuff it seems he was involved in helping out the SPW foundation, and of course as a stand user himself who would be prone to attacks he wouldn't want to subject his daughter to anything he'd been through. At the point where DIO was dead, Kira was dead, Giorno/Diavolo had been dealt with, and the SPW foundation were assumably cleaning stuff up to do with the arrow, he might've just been like "yeah this'll probably all blow over, as long as I keep my distance she should be able to live a normal life without any of the pain and suffering I've been put through".
She's a Joestar, and Jotaro knows about how fate brings his lineage trouble, if anything he should've been helping her and preparing her for the future while neutering her at a young age. She was never in any real danger until she became an adult, and even if she was, Jotaro could've easily taken care of any problems.
Which is what makes the ending of SO so painful. After doing his best to stay away from her to keep her out of harm's way despite the fact that he cherished her, Pucci appeared out of nowhere bringing back DIO's legacy and ended up killing them both. It surprises me that people question his decision to save Jolyne over letting her die and saving the universe when he would have considered himself a complete and utter failure in a world without her.
The Joestar's fates were bound to DIO, whose legacy he believed to be completely taken care of after killing him himself and researching Giorno. He had no idea Pucci existed and therefore no expectations for there to be a serious threat to prepare her for by training her or giving her a stand. Being around her would have just had the potential to draw stand users in. He didn't want her getting involved with it at all. Perhaps he was erroneous in doubting the Joestar blood's ability to create that fighting spirit that led her into trouble, but he probably just wanted to hope that she could lead a normal life.
Josuke and Giorno's stories weren't tied with DIO, the entire linage is just cursed to suffer. I still think the worst thing he ever did was not explain everything surrounding his past and involvement with stands just in case anything were to happen she would at least be prepared.
Giorno is Jonathan/DIO's son, how is he not tied into it? You're right about Josuke not being affected by DIO, however the arrows were being taken care of and Jotaro wouldn't have expected them to be an issue later on. I can agree that explaining his past to her might have helped better prepare her, however he probably didn't want her to be thinking about it at all. There would've been the potential for her to keep asking questions, or maybe even be upset that she didn't have her own stand considering how cool they sounded, and the last thing he'd want is her trying to get herself involved or resent him for not sharing those abilities with her. I'm not trying to say he was a perfect dad and made all the right decisions, but I can certainly see where he was coming from with his actions.
Both Kira's father and Okuyasu's brother got the Stand arrow from Enya though and Okuyasu's father was also affected by DIO.
This will turn /pol/ any second now.
Thanks for correcting me, just reminded myself of Keicho's backstory. So yeah, the events of both VA and DiU were influenced by DIO in some way. It could definitely be said then that Jotaro assumed DIO's influence to be the catalyst for everything, and since he assumed it had been wrapped up and taken care of before the events of SO swung around he would've expected Jolyne to be safe so long he wasn't around drawing any remaining stand users to her.
I hope you haven't fapped to the conceiving of purest JoJo, anon.
Does anybody else hate how needlessly complex and situational the stands are in parts 7 and 8?
I just started Jojolion and so far there's been a guy that can control your limbs if you happen to have open wounds on them, but only if he is standing above you, and a girl who can turn random memories into chess pieces if you fuss over her and loses them if she steps on your shadow
THESE STANDS SUCK! BUT AT LEAST SOFT & WET IS BAMF AF
>Tfw jojolion wont be finished until 2020
Enough of this once a month bullshit, Araki
Holy fucking shit. Why the hell would Funny do that?
>Catch the Rainbow
>reading part 8
>see this shit again
Did Araki ever even followed this rule?
Tusk shits all over it, and even a recent stand like Paper Moon King clearly has at least two abilities.
I'll be uploading the interview stuff from this book as soon as I have some decent readable pics available.
Eh, these made for fun arcs and made sense for their users. There was a flashback showing what Sasame used his for, and Daiya's terrible eyesight and general obsession with memories make hers great for her too.
CKB isn't limited to fussing over her, that's just the rule she chose. Note how she only took the memory once she caught him doing it. I bet even the thing about stepping on shadows is just a rule she made up herself for fairness's sake and not an actual condition of the stand.
Anyone interested in the 02/06/2014 version of Diavolo no Daibouken? Every download I see on English jojo forums is for the years old version.
"That's a nice watch you got there.Too bad you won't be able to tell time after I break it."
"Your face that is."
This is all I want from Part 4.
I don't count Paper Moon as breaking the "rule" because it doesn't have an actual form before something is folded and all the folding does is affect some of the form's characteristics.
That being said a quote like that is kinda funny when the fourth stand ever introduced turned into string and shot emeralds for some reason.
Are you telling me it's not in the pastebin?
It's the most recent version on the DnD wiki
I can't find anything more recent and am pretty sure it's been abandoned.
OP forgot the pastebin but if the version in it still has Valentine in the hotel it's far too old.
