Is there any particular action that this mahou shoujo performs on a daily basis?
>Top Girl is dead
>people still watch this trash
I wonder if Sister Nana ever made her play dress up
Well that's true if you only define necromancy as raising the dead.
But I would consider absorbing lifeforce to create mindless familiars as a type of necromancy. And Shufflin essentially absorbs people's lifeforce by killing them.
I swear to god if I watch tomorrows episode and everyone comes back alive in some magical girl bullshit I'll be forever mad.
It's bad enough Akuma no Riddle got away with it but this show was actually good.
that'll only be if Lerche decides to go original
Since obviously evil powers exist do you think there are girls with powers to turn humans into monsters like in traditional MG anime?
Flame Flamey is the cutest girl ever; she's a tryhard who can't keep up with the big girls, and has embarassing trauma.
>you will never comfort her and tell her she's the best in your heart
I'm convinced that Flame Flamey is going to return and play a crucial role in the plot. I know this sounds like a crazy theory but let me make my case.
- Most importantly, when has the author EVER introduced a named magical girl that survived and did not play a role in the future plot?
- Flame Flamey is a Mao's school graduate. If this series has taught me anything it's that the shadow of Mao Pam is long indeed.
-And finally, Flame Flamey's power is obviously, the power to create flames. Just like, that's right, Princess Inferno. And this can only lead to one thing
Flame Flamey comes back to save SW by defeating Deluge. Fire vs Ice. Flame Flamey will be like the avenging ghost of Princess Ingerno to bitchslap Deluge for acting like a fool.
but wasn't Flame Flamey
a rouge MS and is probably rotting in prison?
they would need a pretty good reason to get her out
maybe Marika has some connection with her since Mao Pam school
Damn girl. I don't really see much issue with these threads but after this week it'll probably be harder to justify their existence. That said, new people are probably gonna be reading novels after the anime for a while at least.
not likely to happen unfortunately, SW uses Inferno's scimitar to beat Deluge, but its Puk Puck'd SW and she's pretty clearly in the wrong from what nips are saying.
Maybe one day Flame Flamey will be a participant and take down one of the 3 sages, I believe
omg, dat Reindeer ornament.
Clantail best loli
What's the first ''light novell'' to start from? What is the ''spades'', ''restart'', ''the queen''.
Is there a pastebin for this?
>Inb4 lurk moar, etc.
There is not much out about this show, not even a general, only La pucelle threads asking about traps
>Been thinking Princess Inferno and Flame Flamey were the same character for some time now
If anything, she probably shows up in that Mao Pam Hell Survival book along with other Mao Pam students. I mean, there are some 'survivors' that appear in episodes short stories as well that are pretty much one shots. You have to remember that the events you are reading about now were written about more than 3 years ago and if she hasn't shown up now, I don't think there's much reason to believe she'll be back.
check the archive or google for the translation
either way you will find it
If anyone's interested, here's an articles about the "Rise of dark mahout shoujos".
>If you showed this season's Magical Girl Raising Project to an anime fan from around ten years ago, they probably wouldn't know what to make of it. The series has the kinds of character designs that you'd expect to see in a traditional magical girl show, but it also boasts a constant stream of tragic character deaths and the occasional burst of graphic violence.
How did we reach a point where the idea of a dark and bloody magical girl series seems like a perfectly normal thing to see? Isn't this genre supposed to be all about upbeat adventures and the power of friendship? To fully understand where the recent wave of dark magical girl shows came from, we'll need to take a look back into the history of the genre.
Btw that wasn't me who said that, its the guy in the article. I was just looking at ANN and saw this article. So you could see this "professional" give his input on the genre.
>Linking to ANN is shitposting.
No it isn't.
Hopefully the genre doesn't become flooded. At one point, any genre with enough popularity developes their tropes to the point where each iteration converges into the most generic and formulaic mass produced drivel possible. The most recent one that comes to mind is battle harems.
Enko magical girls are super cute.
Sometimes I feel like the only person who watched Nanoha and Angelic Layer. Modern Mahou Shoujo is just a logical extension of that. And there were intermediate steps too such as Mai Hime.
Plus there have always been grim/dark mahou shoujo type manga and anime that haven't gotten much attention.
For example, the little known Manga/OVA Hoshi no Umi no Amuri.
I also think Narutaru and Bokurano can basically be considered as predecessors to these modern grim/dark mahou shoujo not because of the mahou shoujo element but because of the approach to grim/dark.
>Thinks linking to ANN isn't shitposting.
And that's why I hate these Muhdoka fags. They aren't true anime fans. They watched a couple Shinbo anime and think they understand how the subgenres evolved.
But they haven't watched enough anime to do anything but spout drivel and misinformation.
Madoka is a great series but I fucking hate what it's created among semi-casuals who think of themselves as "hardcore otaku"
>I honestly don't think Magical Girl Raising Project resembles Madoka Magica for example, it draws much heavier from survival game stories like Battle Royale and it's main cast feel must closer to classic Magical Girl archetypes. Even the tone is completely different, MGRP being bombastic and shocking, while Madoka was far more contemplating and melancholy.
>Honestly getting really tired of Dark MAgical Girl. Daybreak was outright sloppy and overall bland. Yuki Yuuna tried too hard (maybe the new stuff will fix that) and it felt more rushed than anything. Mahou Ikusei on the other hand, really shines in the story department. It's not dark just to be dark (like the others felt they were) but it's dark because it needs to be. Powers having a "downside" like in Yuki Yuuna just force the "darkness" onto the viewers and are usually a weak excuse.Yuki Yuuna never properly explained WHY they down sides exist, like Madoka did.
>mana wanted to be a cute magical girl like her older adopted sister
>busted her ass off to become a competent enough mage to accompany her
>gets to higher rank than hana through sheer determination
>hana is fine with being her subordinate
older sister dies to protect younger
>Isn't this genre supposed to be all about upbeat adventures and the power of friendship?
Precures used to mercilessly murder bad guys.
Genre was always pretty brutal. SM manga was really brutal.
All this new wave changed is that horrible things can also happen to good guys. Series like those existed before, but they were not very popular.
Is each arc of the manga done by a different artist?
I'm already too engrossed in thick meaty lizard tails to care about whether liking this is gay or not
There are no clean scans?
She is quite bloody in combat.
Yeah, its a quick adaptation, but I don't think its as bad as Unmarked which was really compressed.
Some characters do get screwed from the LN; the manga has a big emphasis on SG and Pfle, unlike in the LN where there's a few more main characters.
Also, big disappointment in that they didn't show off the Spidertank that much; pretty much just one page.
I'd sweep Sonia's chimney if you know what I mean.
Have the manga's cute Nokko scene then
Nokko-chan needs to get with the times and get a tail to fit in
Try using reaction picture next time.
I really like those swirly eyes; shows both autism and insanity.
What's the deal with magical girls? They aren't that magical, and they aren't all girls.
Will Cuties live up to the hype?
Would an ability to become light be more powerful than Mao Pam?
Cherry was literally a walking mirror with an ability to change anything reflected in mirrors. Such a shame she want like that.
Isn't Akane already broken? She used to be smart and level-headed, now she's a one-tracked mind that gets triggered at the slightest mention of musicians or forests.
I'm really interested to hear about Akane's selection test though.
Pythie realized her power was light manipulation.
Yes, like the one Rain Pou killed.
But given how she managed to improve the use of her abilty she could have been able to manipulate the vision of what the eye can see like Melville.
Pythie was right, what a sad loss.
>I'm really interested to hear about Akane's selection test though.
I'm pretty sure
someone hurted her family, then she killed everyone who wasn't part of her family after that Cramberry killed them.
Is this official manga or doujin?
I never figure it out.
You know what would be a really horrible twist?
Akane killed her family and blamed Cranberry for ever turning her whole family into magical girls, feeling so much guilt for all the blood she shed her rage and guilt over what she did manifested into an absolute loathing of the Musician of the Forest long after she had her memory wiped of the whole thing.
If only I could be so grossly incandescent
I dunno, maybe Swim Swim focused on the wrong thing
I actually think she is good deep down and her presumably making Deluge go violent to the point where she'd kill Patricia's whole squad was her way of a safety measure to prevent her from hesitating from being soft-hearted since It could get her killed and with her plan to forcibly steal SG her squad would probably kill her on sight.
This is just a reminder:
Don't trust Snow White She had lost everything, all their friends are dead or in space. She is on a irreversible state of punishment. She will broke. She will be sick of this shit. And she will become Madokami... ...and not in a good way
Well I've already posted the first and second page, have 3/4 and 4/4 since the worst is over and the reactionfaces are what sells it for me.
She had lost everything
She still has her civilian life to turn back to. She can still turn back. She can still be human instead of an ideal. She can still have a future worth smiling for.
Lerche going original and protecting Swim Swim. She will be saved.
I don't fear anything anon, swim2 is just another my favorite characters that just died in this series.
Read Limited. Pukin believe that she did nothing wrong and do the world a favour by killing all magical girls who show a slight symptom of being 'evil' magical girl or magical girl who didn't follow the traditional standard of Magical girls. You know justice and some shit.
Just imagine the hatefuck,it's disgusting and hot at the same time
Seems like Animeonlyfags got so fed up with Swim Swim they checked her wiki page, to know her fate.
So yeah, she is one step for becoming the next Pukin, but worse In the second X-men movie, the bad guys tried to use Professor X's brother (who also had psychic powers) to kill all mutants Well, if Snow White becames the new Pukin, prepare for the greatest genocide of all time
If failed Cutie villains are as strong as Dark Cutie how strong are the successful ones?
We already have. Her name is
Jack the Ripple.
I hope they abandon the poker theme and go for MGRP WHITE when SW breaks down. Then comes the obligatory BLACK where Ripple through the power of platonic love gives us the happy ending we deserve
>Regina never became a Cure
I'm still fucking mad some deus ex machina bitch stole her spotlight. I don't give a fuck if they're technically the same person; Regina's obviously the cuter, more popular one.
They would have an insightful and thought-provoking discussion on the poltical ramifications of the British East India Corporation employing 25% of the world's work force in the 1600's.
I'm starting to dig "Magi-cool" as a catchphrase
>got so fed up with Swim Swim
Please. Ripple is just as bad as Swim Swim. At least Swim Swim has an excuse of being a 7years old.
What was Ripple excuse? Driven by revenge?
Swim Swim didn't even do it because she likes to kill. It was driven by her desire, ambition and teaching. She didnt even enjoy killing like Ripple.
>new chapter out
Funny you say this, since Pfle just finished translation chapter 3
I don't care if about being antagonists or heroes as long as they are fuckable.
She was by far the best thing about this show and the middle part where she was missing were the hardest episodes to sit through. And unlike >>151036062 I liked that she didn't became a Cure, she was just herself helping them because she wanted to. Her natural powers were far better than the Cure's powers anyway and she got to keep them.
Some people just want to watch the world burn.
not sure, we know they are faction leaders for LOM and that they will always reincarnate, so they can never be really killed, though we don't know if they keep personality and powers with each incarnation
mind-controlled and then she gets to see him die right in front of her years later
that she murders and finds out immediately after that she's her little sister
>mother left a grieving widow who never found out what happened to her husband
>only friends are middle schoolers and a slut
>new transforming device is a jar of fairy shit
>literally fairy shit
>the fairies shit into a jar and she has to use their shit to transform every time
Cure Moonlight is suffering.
I suggest we create anime only thread later.
Like this hobo who sleep in the rain?
Man, Cure Moonlight would fit in really well in the LoM. There's a bunch of christmas cake-aged magical girls in the series so it's not as weird.
The mid season finale with the yuri hole is honestly the best PreCure episode ever.
Sad news for you then.
