Found this weird worm/larva/leech in my lily pond while cleaning out oak/maple leaf sludge. It was pretty cold when I found this guy, which may be why it wasn’t wiggling much or anything. It is grayish in color, and roughly an inch and a half long. There appears to be teeth/anchors on that face-like… part, and I have no clue what those dark spots are. Seriously, what the hell is this thing?

I found this cat on the road. It was hit and can't walk. Right now I have it in a box in a dark, closed room. What do? I was going to go to the vet tomorrow. I asked two homes if he was theirs but he's not so no idea if he's stray or not. This is in the country btw.
vid(dot)me(slash)AN3g It was meowing like that all the time I was bringing it home and while I was holding him. He hasn't showed any signs of aggression but he definitely is scared. He hissed once when I checked on him in his box and got a bit close. The meowing in that video is from... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
My parents ran over some dudes dog. I look behind us as they kept driving and he was half flat while the guy looked like he was screaming. I was 5 and asked them did they know they hit that dog and they told me to shut up.
>>2048409 Yes, plenty times. Usually, she bites me. So I alpha roll over her. And then she bites again, and hisses and snarls! So I slide her away from me, and then she goes to fetch a toy instead, better that way.
I'm moving out soon and my parents want my dog to stay with them. I pay for literally everything and he's registered under my name so they agree that he's mine. But they think he'll have a better life with them since someone will be home all the time. I interact with him more than they do though and they like to spoil him so I feel like he's going to end up overweight and regress on his training. Not that they're bad owners by any means, just that they don't really know how to raise a dog and they tend to anthromorphise him. I'm considering... Comment too long. I'm moving out soon and I'm trying to decide. my parents wanted him originally as a puppy, but he slowly became mine as they didn't want to deal with a puppy. but now that he's older they'll be fine. I am really really attached to him, but they live on 6 acres of woods and I would be moving into a small apartment with roommates, and a pit/husky would undoubtably do better in the county. plus I worry I wouldn't even be able to find a place that would let me take him due to being a pit. plus one of them is almost always home
Is it possible that bettas are territorial because we've accidentally bred them this way by keeping them in tiny cups their entire lives? Think of how many generations of bettas have been bred and kept in tiny cups. You would be aggressive and territorial too if you were kept in a closet your whole life and then expected to share a big room with a bunch of other people. I can't help but to feel that we're to blame.
