Would it be unwise to get a very active dog breed like pic related if I live in an urban area? I live in Chicago, and while there are plenty of dog parks and even a dog beach, would the dog be satisfied with living in an urban area? I also make regular trips (1 or 2 weekends a month) to Michigan, which allows for stimulating activities like long hikes etc.
>>2047919 I think Dalmations have some of the worst eyesight of all dog breeds, and need to be exercised daily and explore. As long as you walk it daily and live in a place that has enough space for it to roam, it should be fine. I know there is a theory about the size of dogs and spaces they live in like a form of claustrophobia, so some people that live in apartments don't get big dogs, but I had a black lab and lived in a two room apartment and he was fine for the years we were there, and that was in Washington D.C.... >>2047799 that appears to be a blue eyed leucistic ball python. it is an expensive morph of the regular ball python.
snake recommendations for beginners; I recommend colubrids (corns, milks, kings) or the small boids (rosy boa, kenyan sand boa). ball pythons are kinda fussy to deal with for a first snake because of their humidity requirements and also their feeding reluctance.
>>2047806 It's funny my biggest bally gets weird about food here and there, but if he doesn't take it my littlest ball python will eat it, he'll eat anything, I've given him a small rat and then when the bigger one didn't eat his rat I gave it to the little one and he ate it right away.
So, you have to build a mini zoo as an attraction for your city. You must exhibit five different animal species of any kind (including extinct ones), with at least one bird, one reptile and one mammal. The other two can be whatever you want. They all will be friendly to you and will never attack you. Which animals would you exhibit?
the terror bird, the short-faced bear, an assortment of velociraptors, the titanoboa, and a smilodon.
I'll make gazillions of dollars due to the fact that they're all extinct. then I will be detained by the government for questioning as to how I obtained these extinct animals. then I will pay off the government with about half of my gazillions of dollars and retire with the short-faced bear in the Rockies and live a carefree NEET life. there will be a buddy comedy made about me and the short-faced... >The Solomon Islands skink (Corucia zebrata), also known as prehensile-tailed skink, monkey-tailed skink, giant skink, zebra skink, and monkey skink, is an arboreal species of skink endemic to the Solomon Islands archipelago. It is the largest known extant species of skink.
I was at a local fishstore with my wife getting the fish for our new tank and saw a large tadpole in one of their tanks.
Apparently it came in with the goldfish and they didn't know what to do with it. I have had tadpoles in the past so said i would pay whatever they wanted, manager told me to take it and pay them back by giving updates on it.
Any ideas on identifying tadpoles? Pic related. It is 2-2 1/2 in long.
>>2047220 I hope you weren't that attached OP, someone stole your expensive-ass dog to sell for crack money. Check shelters in your area, but be prepared to never see that dog again because some nigga clearly cut that collar off.
I know there is the idea of saving wildlife and all creatures contribute in their respective ecosystems, but I have wondered what mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas contribute to nature other than spreading diseases that kill millions of people and animals worldwide each year. I don't want to sound ignorant, but what effect would eliminating these insects from the Earth cause?

Google is your friend. Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture: -tank size -parameters -any and all inhabitants + how long you've... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
This lady has written a number of books about rats, proclaims to be an expert. Hell even I have followed a lot of her advice. Now it turns out she's been doing illegal surgeries for people, she is NOT a vet nor does she have ANY licensing...and sometimes without anaesthesia?? And when she does use anaesthesia it's isofluorane on a cotton ball apparently.
This is absolutely out of control, I am floored.
She was kicked out the World Pet... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2046486 I don't think so, since their extinction was relatively recent, when you look at the big picture. and considering they lived in remote Tasmania and similar places, it probably wouldn't be too hard to introduce them back
>>2046525 honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if a small population has survived under the radar
