hey /an/, I was wondering if anyone knows where to get an Assyrian shepherd in az. preferably near the west valley. I have an Assyrian friend that has been searching for a month now and doesn't seem to have any luck. was hoping you guys could help. pic related the closest thing I could find to an Assyrian shepherd.
>>2033756 Unfortunately that's why I was hoping you guys knew. The closest thing I could find was an Anatolian shepherd. But she specifically said Assyrian shepherd and she mentioned that they were hard to describe look wise.
Because of shitty fake, manipulative documentaries Discovery put out for shark week. They flat out said they were experimenting with story telling and how to draw in viewers. They also said this year they would be doing more 'facts' and actual research, but take that as you will.
The Discovery Channel took the reality TV show route a long time ago. They had a show about the 'amish mafia' for fucks sake. Just stop watching TV all together, OP. It's never going back to actual educating documentaries that serenade you with their monotone narrators.
My cat really wants to go outside, but I'm afraid he'd never come back. What do? He grew up in a barn but he hasn't been outside since I adopted him back in mid-2015. Occasionally I'll hold him, go outside and walk around a little bit, but I won't let him down. I live right next to some busy roads, what happens if he gets squashed by a car? Pic related, my cat.
Play with him more. Distract him with treats until he settles down. Maybe get a cat harness and take him for walks. As annoying as it his is now, wouldn't you feel terrible if he got run over or eaten by coyotes or never came back?
So, /an/, can you help me prevent yet another bad pet owner story?
It isn't my business since I don't live there anymore, but my parents just got a kitten. Neither have taken care of cats outside of childhood. Firstly, they intended to have the kitten declawed. There is no way around this, apparently. Neither are good about daily maintenance and I get the impression they want the cat to use the dog flap instead of a litter box. Also, considering how obese and poorly mannered their current and previous dogs are, I worry the cat will end up the same way. I'd... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
So my dumbass had impulse bought two "terrarium kits" from Lowes of bug eating plants. Probably not a wise idea. Comes with a dormant venus fly trap and a pitcher plant each, as well as a baggie of soil and sphagnum moss.
I just want to know what you guys think of this buy and how I can properly care for these little guys, or at least to give me some idea of what to do before I do more research. You guys (at least most of you) are awesome and really know your shit. I am a complete noob for the most part. All I've ever done was plant a few flowers and throw... Comment too long. I think these are coming out of one my house plants. I have one currently with me and I don't know what to do with him. I usually only see them during the summer months. Will he die if I try to put him outside? It's really cold.
So /an/ how many of you either work in /an/ careers or do wildlife photography or breed? I know we have a fair amount of people that work in research and breeders but I never see any photographers. Anything related to the hobby of animals and nature besides owning a pet.
It's probably because any hobbiest photographer posts on /p/ for feedback. I want to try to get into basic photography of nature and deep space. I have a Nikon D3300 to start with. Just need to learn how to take pictures super good.
So recently I found pictures like this, of these large boxes of grass. I was considering making a sort of area for the cat with this kind of grass, because they are both very fond of grass, but the small pots of grass seem to die too quickly, because the cats straight up pull the grass and seeds out of the soil, no matter how long I let it grow before introducing it to them.
Where do I get something like this, or if I have to make it myself, what type of grass would be best suited for it?
>>2033400 I don't live in the states, so I don't have access to wallmart. The size also seems wonky, too tall, and actually a bit on the small side, considering I was hoping to plant more than just grass - a few flowers that cats can actually eat without causing health issues.
