Help identify a snake?
North East Florida, found in the pool.

He had a yellow tipped tail and only about 2 feet long, definitely a juvenile.
Sorry for the destroyed head, last snake I had to kill was still alive after decapitation and wanted to put him out of his misery quick.

Yes. Get a pug first, or something similar. If you can handle that, then you move on to bigger dogs. You don't throw your kid in the deep end when they're learning to swim, you start them in the shallows first, same idea here.
>>
The main thing is their unholy high energy. If you have never had a dog before, you have zero frame of reference on how much exercise these guys need. Get a medium sized, medium energy adult dog as a first dog.
>>
>>2222660
I'd prefer at least a medium sized dog desu. Brittany's, Shetland Sheepdogs, lab, retrievers etc. My girlfriend has owned dogs before so we won't be completely new. I do understand what you're saying though.

People who have their badly behaved dogs off-leash

I'm not talking dog parks here, just a regular park or trail. It's always dogs who clearly can't handle it since they run up to another dog as soon as they see one and starts bugging it.
How do you handle that? I quickly step in between my dog and the strange one, try to make some move that says "don't come closer" to the strange dog and firmly tell its owner to put it on a leash.

I hate this. I see people with dogs that will literally try to chase anything that has a pulse when it walks by, and they struggle to pull the leash and keep them in check.

At least they aren't off-leash like in your case. Why are so many dog owners entitled and think their dog is the only thing that matters?

So I've been getting some bigger than usual house spiders around my place lately and today I found a large and a small one togehter on a web. Naturally I lit them on fire to remove them, and the larger one died pretty quick. The smaller one fell off the web and left something behind. I lit the mysterious object and it burned really bright for a second before going out. Any idea what a spider would have that would burn like that?

Don't torture shit because you are a pussy, you damn faggot you can acomplish the same shit with a shoe and a vacuum cleaner, don't create a fire hazard, cause you can't handle a weaver spider, that are harmless anyway.

The mysterious thing was her egg sack, that bright light was the life of her younglings fading away in agony.

I hope a spider decides to enter your ear when you are sleeping.

Angry farmers and hunters. Wolves are not a problem. Sure they kill some sheep, but nothing compared to the sheep that simply die on their own. The sheep here are bred to give as much meat and wool as possible, and the way to keep sheep here is to release them into the forest and mountains during summer without supervision. A lot of them fall and break their legs, get lost, drown or die from diseases. Some get killed by predators. If the farmer can document that they were killed by predators they get a compensation...

Last thread, I posted my hypothesis of Longisquama being the common ancestor of birds and pterosaurs to the exclusion of dinosaurs. I presented evidence for my hypothesis, including the similarities of the skull of Longisquama to pterosaurs and birds, and the primitive, hard feathers on its back. If David Peters is correct, Longisquama is an even better ancestor for birds and pterosaurs because of its half-wing, half-patagia wings. Nevertheless, I was criticized by armchair paleontologists clinging on to the appealing but unconvincing theory of birds being theropod dinosaurs...

- The aquatic nature of ankylosaurs and ceratopsians is supported by fossils found in China and Korea. Koreaceratops and Psitaccosaurus both show evidence of tail fins supported by spines used for swimming, and the new ankylosaur Liaoningosaurus shows evidence of an aquatic piscivorous lifestyle. Interestingly, the co-existence of Psitaccosaurus, Liaoningosaurus and the aquatic theropod Sinosauropteryx may indicate the Yixian as a large, shallow swamp or delta.

62 KB,
/an/ you lied to me. Just got a rabbit, and they are like quiet little dogs. They don't lack personality at all.

congrats, you already failed as its keeper

Majority of the people on this board are cat or dog owners who's experience with rabbits has been limited to having a class pet at school or having one as a kid that quickly died from neglect.

Rabbits are fun pets, my current bunny curls up on my back if I lay on the floor.

I spend a shitload of time with him now, are they that much better off with a friend? I'm not opposed to it, at least once he's neutered.

Wasn't really planning on getting one since he was a spur of the moment rescue. (yes, I got all the supplies and whatnot already)
