My parakeet died and i still have no idea why. he ate fresh green apples and i let him play around in my room. i started feeding him this multicolored pellet food (dry) and then he started acting out and jumping at the bottom of his cage. he was always a very clam lil dude so this was out of the ordinary for him. he also started to have brown solid poop, before then his poop was a dark green swirl. then he was dead on the bottom of his cage. (i bought him at petco also)

I had to let a cat suffer today. She was brought in as a stray, something terrible happened to her. Obviously one leg is broken, but she can't use her whole hind end. At first I assumed nerve damage or paralyzed which doesn't hurt much. But this cat was shaking continuously, howling and reaching out to people as they walked by for help. We laid her down in a cage and there is something visually wrong with here bottom half. It sank and bulged in places it... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
My cat is hopping from place to place, has obvious dental problem signs, and I just found out he has fleas.
I can't afford anything. My rich parents lost their job and I am the one in charge of the cat now since I live across the country for college. We don't have the funds to take care of him like we used to. I honestly don't know what to do.
I don't want to see him in pain anymore and I don't want to itch from these fleas. It's a Sunday and I can't do anything till tomorrow and it is driving me crazy. I feel like shit.
I thought dogs were supposed to care a little when you are sick
I don't mean like bring me cans of ginger ale from the fridge or anything, but be a little sensitive to my obvious illness
This little faggot threw a tantrum when I didn't walk around for an hour with him like normal and instead headed back inside as soon as he did his business. I can't handle walking around man, I gotta lie down.
Are there any dog groomers in the house? I need help with me doggie.
I use an undercoat rake to get my dogs undercoat out. But she's shedding a LOT of topcoat hairs. They're wiry and long. What is the best tool to remove these hairs? Srsly they're everywhere in my house.
if anyone remembers, i posted a thread about a breeder wanting to visit me and my dog a while ago, and i told that i would post the updates about what happened.
Well, yesterday he notified me that he wants to come today.
Of course my dog just woke up from an all nighter sleep when he arrived, so he was kinda hyperactive, as he was not yet excercised, and i'm not sure if it was because he recognized the breeder, or just simply smelled the other dogs' scent on his clothes. Well anyways, he took a few pictures, and played with him a... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I have a 10 year old cat (pic) that has lived with other cats all her life, until 6 months ago when our other cat had to be put down.
We got a kitten last week and our older cat's reaction is totally unexpected.
Upon spotting the kitten she will hiss and do that low yowling they do when they're threatened but she won't attack. I suspect shes also spraying.
I get that eventually she'll stop being so autistic and get used to the kitten but in the mean time she's scaring the kitten at what I believe may be a vital point in the kitten's... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Unfortunately anon the best thing will be to just wait. Cats behave like this many times but then they realize that the newcomer isn't a threat and become friends with him. I have two cats now and my older one behaved like this when we got the other yet now he can't live without him. Whenever the other runs away he's nervous til he comes back and even if the other steals his food he doesn't do anything to him and even purrs sometimes. When he'll get used I assure you he's gonna love him.
Cats aren't dogs. A new kitten is isn't gonna "liven up ol' Bessie." It's just annoying when the last thing your old cat wants to do is play or deal with a rambunctous little brat. Let the old thing live the rest of its life in peace and then get a new kitten.
So I had two hamsters, sisters. And I got them when they were still babies.
Everything was fine, but sometimes they'd start fighting really aggressively and biting and scratching eachother.
I have no idea why'd they do this sometimes. It'd be weird because it'd mostly happen when I took them out of the cage and put them on my couch to play with them.
Anyway, one day I noticed that one of the hamsters had a pink mass on its stomach. And it would squeek when I touched it. I was afraid it was cancer. I took it to the vet and he confirmed... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
