I'm not OP, and this looks like a useful resource, but obviously some people aren't gonna pay for this shit. It's not like you linked a site which automatically tells you what your dog's ancestry is; you just linked a site which might tell you if you pay them and send a DNA sample in.

It's like if I asked people for workout advice and you referred me to a site where I could hire personal trainers.
>>
>>2205988
No it's like if you asked me for workout advice, to which I had none to offer and I linked you to a site that could actually help you.

Shrimp for one. Fun to watch in my opinion and come in all sorts of colors. I dont think a 12G is big enough for a bigger crayfish but don't see why some of the dwarf crays wont fit. Crabs too if you are interested in having a dry spot on the tank and then an aquatic area.

Basically vertebrates. Or just do a planted tank, plants like anubias and java fern are 0 difficulty and 0 maintenance.

So a friend was at work when the pest control guy found pic related behind the vending machine in the breakroom. Coworker said she saw something that color yesterday behind the machine, so he had been there for awhile. Pest guy was a total douchebag- friend asked what he was going to do with it and he said "I'm going to take it home and show my kids, then throw it away", he was even poking it and saying " look, it's still alive".
So friend took it away from him and called me up.
I did a quick internet search and found that vegetable oil will release animals from the traps- so I headed over to meet of iend after work.

Poor guy. Yes, vegetable or mineral oil will do the trick. Just go very slow and gentle with it.
>>

So I grabbed a bottle of cheap canola oil on the way. Put the trap on the shower in case he got freed quickly and made a break for it. I slowly dribbled the oil over him, trying to stay away from his head so he didn't ingest too much or drown. I took a small flat blade screwdriver and gently pried up his tail. He was trying to move of course and I quickly saw that he was working himself free, so I only prodded him after that to get him to move. After about 1/3 of his body was freed he figured out that his escape...

I'm having an argument with a friend about a mutual friends dog. I say she's abusing it, she says she isn't. She says her dog is a german shepherd mutt, but told our mutual friend she's "low content coyote" but she didnt want other people to know. I've met the dog once and it just warily paces around you and growls if you get too close to it or its owner. The owner claimed she's just fearful and it's best to act like she doesn't exist. When i looked the dog in its eyes it started showing its teeth and when chastized by its owner...

That's signs of an incredibly fearful dog. Not necessarily abused or neglected, but definitely fearful.

It also puts its ears flat back and climbs all over her lap for attention while squeeling in her snapchats. The dog is huge and a shes 100 pounds tops. She feeds it raw which makes them more aggressive and it all just seems like a bad idea to me. 137 KB,
I've been seeing a lot of baby snakes recently where I live in Florida, and I found one close enough to scoop up today. I identified it as an extremely young black racer. Having kept adult, wild-caught racers before (never for more than a month at a time), I've learned how nervous and bitey they can be (bleeds a lot, teeth pointing inward). I want to at least help it get a decent start in life so I have some additional pest control, and I might even tame and keep it. Thoughts? Any herpfags would be appreciated.

Pic related, looks just like the little guy.

Honestly racers don't make good pets.
They're too "high strung".
I have some on my property- they don't just roam around, they'll find a burrow to call their own and stay around if theres food.

The problem with "giving it a good start in life" by keeping it and feeding it for awhile is that this is the time it needs to learn how to hunt. By providing food to it you're taking away that necessity and can unintentionally hinder its future abilities.

Hey /an/, I have a really shitty problem.

I've had a cockatiel for a year, all was going well between us but at some point he started being really noisy, annoying and VERY dependent. I thought he needed a birb friend so I got another.

Everything went downhill from there.

I've got the new one for about 3 months and I haven't been able to tame it. My first bird has gotten WAY louder and in turn makes the new bird loud as fuck as well.

For two weeks I have seriously thought about wringing their neck or choking them but that's just...

Why did you get a bird if you can't handle a high maintenance animal that makes some noise? You say you're worried about them ending up with a bad owner, but it sounds like you're one of those bad owners.

Make sure they are allowed out of the cage for AT LEAST an hour at a time. My tiels like to sit out on the patio a lot, too.
>>
>>2205393
Like I said, they get all the care and attention they need. They have a schedule of when they can go out of the cage, I (try to) teach them tricks, I give them all sorts of food and they get enough sunlight and fresh air daily etc. etc.

But they STILL keep squawking for hours on end and lately they're squawking as loud as possible at 7 in the morning, I've changed the position of the cage and even put them in seperate cages but to no avail.

It's the fact that I'm out of options and...

It's just pretty upsetting to see that you want them dead over them just being birds. They're not doing anything wrong; they're just birds. My tiels only ever get loud when they're bored and it ceases when I let them out, but not all birds are like that. Birds are loud, birds are needy. About as intelligent as an invertebrate that size can get probably, they have an amazingly efficient visual system and spatial recognition, complex and adaptable behaviour patterns and even limited learning abilities. No abstract thought or future planning of course but they dont need that.

Making a web isn't future planning?

One thing my jumping spiders do, when it's not hungry and I give it a fly.

She bites it, but it doesn't kill it, instead it paralize the fly and let it hanging, I have seen flies hanging alive for days, until it finally eats them, and even tortures them a little, poking the strand of silk and making the fly circle around while hanging, to see if it's still alive.

Sweet, spicy, and bell peppers can easily be grown in medium to large pots. Both all year round indoors and outside!

Strawberries are also super easy to grow at home in pots. Most stores like Lowes even have pots specially designed for growing strawberries.

would it be possible to overwinter my plants inside?

Yep, although to be honest, if they are not near a window that gets direct sunlight at least part of the day then you will have to supplement with artificial lighting.

But this is easy, all you need is a daylight grade CLF bulb and a metal hallide lamp. Both are super cheap.

Those still exist. They're called Hinks Bull Terriers. They're rare but people still breed them.

I don't understand the exact decision on why they changed the muzzle. There's no practical reason for it and, despite what they say, it isn't historical either. They probably just wanted a unique looking breed since the original is similar to a Staffie.

I don't know if it would work for what you want, but they actually make kitten cages that are pretty fucking big. I imagine original idea was to display kittens at a pet store, but you can get them kinda cheap because no one sells kittens at a store.

Fabrics like that you'd be able to find in an Art's and crafts store. You might also want to put cardboard along the sides if you're worried about mess or privacy.
>>
>>2205196
I would imagine the bar spacing in these types of cages would be too big for young and female rats, or am I wrong? I'm pretty set on the cage above though.

The only craft store near me is Hobby Craft, I can pop over after work - hopefully I can make it before they shut. Thanks for the suggestion!

70 KB,
Where is the best place to get one of these?
I can never find one in a pet store but apparently they are like the most common basic ass spider on earth.
Is there somewhere online you can order them? I'd rather get one in a store and not online so I know it's healthy and it wont show up dead at my doorstep but I don't even know where to look for one, no pet store I've ever been to has ever had one. Where the hell do people get these guys?

I'm actually in the US and i can;t find one, that why I'm asking. I can;t believe how hard they are to get for me. It seems like your only hope is if there is a breeder in town who is selling them which of course in my podunk shithole there isn't.

I was going to talk shit but then you post made me realize not everyone has muh freedoms.

Op should still be able to use a search engine...

BTW I hate spiders.
Caught a tarantula- it got out, found it in the hallway one night going to take a leak.
Probably hit the ceiling and almost had a heart attack.

Look so I read that almonds and macadamias arent bad for cats so is there anything wrong with chewing up some UNSALTED nuts and feeding them to my 9 week old kitten like a bird because i did it with some almonds and he liked it.

Tort: Piece of shit who thinks he is better than everyone else. Constantly calls people weird, creepy and autistic. Has no humility. Barely talks and has no genuine interest in meeting new people or friends except for the few he made years ago.
Permit: Basically the same as tort except he pretends he is your friend then laughs about how stupid you are to your face. Basically a gigantic normie who just comes to the room to laugh at misfortune people(and not even like mentally retarded people like just...
