Since you're only keeping it overnight, just keep it covered.
I've heard pigeons make great pets if you're interested. They're not very expensive (Get a large dog crate to keep them, use pads for diapers or they'll shit on everything you love. That's about it) they're not as noisy or destructive as other birds, they're pretty easy to tame and they're adorable. Would recommend.
>>2190978 There was a show I saw (might have been Nat Geo) about how cities are paradise for birds of prey like peregrine falcons. They roost on skyscrapers and gorge on pigeons and squirrels. It was pretty cool, wish I could remember it's name.
I need some help identifying a spider I found in my house. Unfortunately, I already squished it so there's only a stain left on my wall. It was pretty big with a leg span like the palm of my hand, so I'm curious what spider it could have been.
This is extremely important. I desperately need to find someone who left my country and is in trouble, I do not know where he is and he could be anywhere in this world. All I have is this picture i linked, he uploaded it a short while ago. Can you tell me which type of alligator that is? I intend to fly to the country this alligator is located at tonight if I can, and continue my investigation there
Please help!!! Give me any insight you can get from this picture if you can.
A very wild guess would be thailand or eastern africa.
Can you give us some background? What kind of trouble is he in? Why did he leave? Does he have immediate family? Have the authorities been notified? Are you some contract killer, ready to finish the job?

Hey, an, I'm interested in getting a cat but I'd like to bottlefeed and raise it from a kit so it'll bond to me. The humane society is too strict about whom they allow to take on kittens (how am i gonna pay for kits if don't work? lol) so they're not an option. Basically my plan is to attract a pregnant or nursing queen and then foster it's kits until they're old enough to be adopted out and only keep the one that seems most bonded to me. How do I attract a pregnant or nursing queen to nest? Is there any way to attract one without attracting... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Those dates apply to hunting seasons. You need a permit to hunt, even in 'Bama. If you just need to get rid of one pesky squirrel in the back yard, you should legally be in the clear if you use a non-lethal trap.
>>2192807 >Does this mean, during these dates it is legal to kill this animal? Yes, if you have a hunting permit. If that isn't crystal clear to you from this simple chart, I'm not sure you should be handling a gun.
(tl;dr: Are there any kind of black flies known to have a stringer and bite people?)
Anyone have any kind of idea where this might have come from?
I was bit by a very large black fly earlier in the day, then around 4 hours ;ater at a different location the same size kind of fly stung me in my upper arm (pic related)
I am thinking that this may have come from some weird pheromone thing similar to wasps, as the second attack was completely random (the first, I swatted the fly and provoked it). I've never had inflammation of this kind before, and where... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>2192750 I was thinking that at first, as I used to live in Alaska and Maine and they were a pain in the ass in the summer with their bites; but i never heard of them actually stinging a person before, and beyond that I am in the UK and thought horseflies in general didn't exist over there. The thing was definitely the size of a horsefly though, maybe even 1.5x their size
Hello /an/imal lovers. I was cleaning my pool today when I found a small ring necked snake. He felt cold and I like reptiles so I caught him and put him in a travel aquarium from when i had a gecko. I still have all the stuff from my gecko so I was wondering if you could keep these snakes as pets. Also the snake in pic is not it, but i will upload pics if you guys want.
I have a 200l tank, plenty of filtration. I'm looking to get blue acaras and fire mouth cichlids. I've been told 2 acaras and 3 fire mouth would work well together, but I'm not 100% confident. If anyone could give me some advice I'd really appreciate it :)
>>2192654 Cichlid breeder here. >>2192683 Is true. They need a lot of different areas. Cichlid translates to "rock fish". What looks good to you doesn't mean its good for them. They want areas they can defend and hide. So being visible isn't a good thing. Acaras are dicks BTW. But I guess so are fire mouths (never dealt with them personally). Most cichlids- well all really, are territorial and aggressive. The secret to a successful tank... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
/an/, i've noticed something very peculiar the last couple of weeks. I work in a warehouse and hence have the been granted the unfortunate luck of being greeted by at least a dozen of spiders every week.
And tides seem to have turned against them. 9 out of 10 spiders i've seen last month exhibited this weird anomaly on their hind legs. Either both or one of the legs seem to be underdeveloped. And because of this, the seem to become really clumsy having to sort of drag their body forward along walls.
And this is where it gets weird. This is not isolated... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
