>>2004905 You want a sedimentary rock. I'd go with sandstone for a first-time rock owner, it's really laid-back and easy to train. Stay away from igneous rocks, especially obsidian. Obsidian is so high-strung, it might as well be a goddamn mineral. Definitely not for a first-time rock owner.
Hi guys. This is Leo. I've had him for about 2 months. He is my first pet ever and unfortunately the building where I live is a no-pet allowed building. What options do I have? I don't have medical insurance for a therapist to provide a prescription for an emotional support animal at the moment'; so how can I keep my pet?
Anon if you lived in a no-pet building you shouldn't have gotted a pet, and if you gotted a pet first you shouldn't have moved into a no-pet building. I can't inderstand how you got into this predicament.
You have to move. Don't you dare give away/sell/abandon Leo. I will find you and gut you like an anchovy if you abandon that pooch.
>>2004570 Fair enough and I know I shouldn't have. I was afraid of dogs until 2 months ago. I could never see myself going inside a fenced area with 6+ dogs at the dog park before. He has changed my life and I will not leave him. Thing is I can't move yet so I'll have to go to court with the landlord if it needs be.
>>2004567 #1 reason dogs are brought to a shelter are because the owner has to move/has moved/is living in an area what does not allow dogs.
Your options are slim; either move where you ARE allowed to have dogs, or get rid of your dog. Luckily you have a cute puppy. Unfortunately your puppy is black and extremely plain looking. I can't imagine you would be any good at screening potential adopters, so I would advise looking for local rescue groups. Screening people is very difficult to do.
I'm a level 54 earth wizard, I know the magicks involved with this. You simply must create a mudboner potion which will turn you on and you will squirt lots of joy into the air and also onto Gaia. You will fertilize Gaia with your seed, thus giving it the energy of a newborn baby.
How do you feel about rescues with extremely strict adoption standards?
I want to adopt a kitten some time in the next few months, so I asked my vet about some local rescues. They gave me a few names, but mentioned that one of them required any cat you adopt to be strictly indoors, spayed or neutered, that it would not be declawed, etc. They described the experience as basically being as rigorous as adopting a child, and that they just did not part with their animals easily.
I understand wanting to give a pet a good home, but it just seemed extreme to me. (For... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I don't give a shit. Too many stupid and/or malicious people in the world, they need to be filtered from proper pet owners. They don't do this for shits and giggles, they do it because of bad experiences in the past. On top of that, you, or I, or anyone else on the planet aren't owed a pet and don't have some kind of right to a cat or dog, the pounds/recuses/breeders requirement can have whatever requirements they want.
Ok guys so I really need your help. I've recently gotten bed bugs. I have done everything to try and prevent them. I've cleaned out my room and have been battling them for about a month now. I even cleaned my carpet with bleach. I've been using a lot of chemicals and powders. I bombed my room. I have literally scrubbed, put chemicals on, etc on every part of my room. I've cleaned all my clothes, posessions, etc. The problem is only in my room. Everybody else has checked around their rooms and haven't found anything. It's not as bad as it used to... You might not see them in other rooms but be aware they most likely are. Bedbugs can hide and remain hidden for months at a time. A good way to kill them is to use steam to go through all the cracks, edges and furniture. More effective than bleach.
In truth though OP you need pest control. Bed bugs are hardy things and the only way to really get rid of them for good is using professional chemical treatments and to have it applied a few times throughout the year.
