Old one reached its bump limit.
Here's your reply.
Cena's got the US Belt, and he's pretty much out of the World Title scene for now. His last few months with the US Belt have actually been pretty good. The title has been defended in good, long matches almost every week on Raw, in which Cena retains (duh), but his opponent always puts up a great fight. For example, his two matches with Cesaro on Raw allowed Cesaro to display his full moveset and get some cool spots in, and he only looked better for it. Even though he didn't win, Cesaro's fan following grew substantially after both matches, because he was allowed to show the fans what he's made of and show them that he could hold his own against Super Cena. On top of letting a few wrestlers prove their worth to the crowd, these defenses have also boosted the prestige of the US Title. After so many consistently good matches for the title, it seems more important and more meaningful. On top of what he's been doing with the US Belt, Cena has also added a few moves to his repertoire, like the tornado DDT, the inverted vertical suplex, the kneelout electric chair facebuster, the Michinoku driver 2, the Frankensteiner, the springboard stunner, and a variation of the sunset flip powerbomb. It's hard for a babyface to maintain a decent moveset, which is a problem Cena faced for a long time, but he's managed to build a respectable moveset. My only gripe here is that he's too heavy to deliver the Frankensteiner properly to most of the roster, resulting in a few self-powerbombs, but that's not too big a deal, since he mostly feuds with stronger guys anyway. He's always been good on the mic, he's always been able to put on a good match, and he's always had good psychology, and none of that has changed. Cena still has his negatives, though. His promos are still too long, he's still being pushed on a crowd that just doesn't want him the way he is right now, he's still a goody-two-shoes fruity pebble, he wins too often in general, (cont.)
(cont) his matches tend to end predictably, his selling has improved but it still needs work, he still no-sells frogsplashes with the roll into the Attitude Adjustment far too frequently, his character is a massive moralfag (and everyone hates overzealous moralfags), he wonтАЩt fucking turn heel already goddamnit and heтАЩs trying to be a face no matter how much most of the crowd hates him (even though he has a valid reason: children need a strictly good and morally upright character to look up to, and thereтАЩs no one else lined up to replace him in that role; even with a good reason, this character is both boring and frustratingly predictable), he doesnтАЩt protect his finishers whatsoever, he still relies too heavily on his finishing combo and refuses to stop using certain moves that just wonтАЩt ever be well received, heтАЩs likely at least somewhat responsible for Nikki BellaтАЩs success in WWE, and a good list of other problems. Every wrestler has pros and cons, though. Personally, I think the IWC focuses too much on CenaтАЩs problems to see the good in him. HeтАЩs a good in-ring worker with good mic skills, whoтАЩs only held back by a boring character and bad booking. Overall, CenaтАЩs a good wrestler and heтАЩs only been getting better. He just needs to do something different with his character, which he seems ready to do as soon as someone takes his place as the unshakably good hero for kids to cheer for. To sum up, CenaтАЩs still here, but he has improved substantially since you quit watching. His moveset has expanded, heтАЩs putting more effort into selling, and heтАЩs boosting the prestige of the US Title while making new talent look good. HeтАЩs still pushed down our throats, but not nearly as badly as he used to be. Most fans will never like the fruity pebble character, but it has a valid reason to exist. That being said, I, like most adult fans, canтАЩt wait for his eventual heel turn, whenever the time is right for it to come. (cont.)
(cont) CenaтАЩs a good worker who plays his role well, though, like anyone else, he does have a few cons, but they certainly donтАЩt outweigh the pros. The IWC loves to bitch about Cena no matter how good he is or how much he improves, to the point that a lot of smarks have a totally undeserved, undying hatred for the man. This hate has over time become a general consensus, but it wonтАЩt stop Cena from going down in history as what he is: a future legend, a great worker, and one of the most intensely polarizing personalities in all of pro wrestling. NobodyтАЩs going to be booing at his HoF induction, thatтАЩs for sure.
While reading this, you might have realized that IтАЩm higher than the moon on stimulant drugs. Whenever a subject deserving of a good rant appears, IтАЩll be there, still feeling great after three days awake, ready to write my essay, and ready to wonder why I was so impassioned about the subject when I finally wake up after the binge. I donтАЩt really have anything else to say. Hope these posts help someone somehow.
I had a slight turn when Nikki lost, but hopefully she'll win at the PPV and we won't have to deal with that issue.
Great question, thanks for asking.
Gonna post some links to gifs too gfycat [dotcomslash] TallReflectingIcelandicsheepdog

They're going with the Balor Club gimmick. Basically Prince Devitt with Bullet Club except his name is now Finn Balor and its called Balor Club. Finn has teased on Twitter that the Young Bucks might be brought in... so the Balor Club with be Finn as Hogan and the Young Bucks as Hall and Nash basically. It'll work really well if that is indeed the path they take as it'd win over both the casual and IWC crowd.
You are so right friend. I wasn't familiar with her work when they showed the promo for NXT but I've been watching some of her matches tonight and now I'm also in love!
Is Eva a meta heel? I mean she gets heat from all angles and now the botch is a storyline. This could be interesting.
>wrestler or wreslters are legit hated by the universe
>"Its okay cause its heel heat! That means they are over! Enjoy more shitty matches with Eva now! Thanks for giving her any reaction you beautiful idiots!"
I wish the NXT crowd would realize this and stop reacting to her but then again I feel like WWE would push her regardless and there's nothing we can do about it....
What's really sad is that he actually put effort into his outfit. He took time out of his day to try and look like he was in the shield.
>Today's the day, you gotta make Roman proud.
>Mom, where's my tactical vest?
Not hard to buy but he did buy it just to do his little run in. He went out of his way to go to a store/online to get the shield-esque tactical, specifically put it on that night. Just to run in and get manhandled by security. This isn't some drunk yoyo getting overexcited on the spot.
This gun prepared it.
You feel bad because you are comparing his title run to a face title run, Seth is a heel champ and he is doing an amazing job as a heel champ. You will miss his matches when Roman or Cena gets the title back
It would be better if he was a lying, cheating, stealing heel rather than a chicken shit heel though. Chicken shit heels do nothing to elevate the title and when someone gets a win over them it does nothing for both parties. You can still be a great heel champ and be a threat as long as you do your own dirty work.
Don't get me wrong, Seth has played his role perfectly, but as a first title run it does nothing for me.
Fuck man, I love Ambrose. His charisma is so great. He's a lot more interesting than other wrestlers, that's for damn sure. Just listening again to the promo he cut after seth's betrayal reminds me of why I like him.
The problem is that we can't no longer have classic heel champs, everything is pretty much prohibited to get good heel heat and creative isn't very creative to get new ways to have heel heat, so they always use the chickenheel type, Kevin Owens was damn good heel back on NXT but they kill his heel character in the main roster, KO running away from Ryback? Come the fuck on.
This was the idea my podcast guys had about Baron Corben. NXT's crowd is so smarky they cheer anyone talented, heel or face. The only way to get heat is to have a shit gimmick and boring matches.
It should be the smarks sticking it to WWE, instead of the stupid CM Punk/JBL/We Are Awesome chants.
But no, they rather have their Balors, Daniel Bryans, Sami Sayns, Kevin Owens, and all other shitty manlets/fatasses that exist.
The newest Bustin' Smarks will make you hate these kind of wrestlers just because of how crazy this manlet/indie/neckbeard loving smarks are.
Them making all sorts of insane stories that would ONLY work in a manga.
I have nothing really valuable to contribute, so I'll just say that I think they should start calling Braun Strowman's finisher (either one of them) "The Strowman Argument".
...but I also fear that might go over the heads of most (US) wrestling fans.
A little bit extreme there buddy, i mean they are boring and their retire is long overdue but i dont want them to be retire and fucked up like Lex Luger or Bret Hart, they deserve better.
You know, it occurs to me that after 10yrs of Cena, the midcard titles are being dug back out of obscurity and guys like Ryback and Cesaro whom wouldn't go very far in the business are now getting the spotlight more often. Hell, after a botched series of storylines, the Wyatt's and even Reigns are getting some legit heat and cheers. Some smarks might not agree, but I'm seeing a trend here; the guys who might have been overlooked are now getting their due recognition and the titles are all being put on the same level. We even have Kane going to the main event soon.
What I'm trying to say is, look at the WWE right now and tell me you honestly can't see something changing. The US Title is once more relevant, the IC title is going places, and the tag team division is REALLY good. Yes, the divas division is still shit and probably will be so long as Vince has final say, but the rest of the brand is starting to look MUCH better. Personal opinion, but I can see all 3 main titles and the tag titles holding the same level of prestige in the near future.
If i wanted to delve into the attitude era and rewatch as much of it as possible, is there any sort of guide for that? Should i watch everything with DX in it, or what? Help a newfag to wrestling out
if this was at WM, I'd say Undertaker wins clean
Now, I'm not sure. I'll stick to Undertaker since having Brock would be too much, as in, you cannot possibly justify him losing ever again at that point. But knowing WWE, they'd probably have Roman Reigns beating Brock after that.
DX's importance is overstated.
First, where to start:
Some people say that the Attitude started at KotR '96 with Austin's KotR win. Others say that it started at WrestleMania 13 with Austin vs Hart, or at Survivor Series '97 with the Montreal Screwjob. The most common start date is given as WrestleMania XIV with Austin vs HBK. Personally, I'd start with WrestleMania 13. That way you get that match, one of Bret Hart's best, and get to see most of '97, which I think is excellent. Plus that way you do get to see DX's rise throughout that year.
You start with watching the PPVs from then till around 2001. I'd stop with WrestleMania X7, but the following year's WrestleMania is quite good too. That way you get Hogan vs Rock, which is possibly Hogan's last great match.
You could also watch the RAWs, but there's a lot of mediocre ones in there mixed in with the classics.
That's my two cents anyway.
I gotta disagree with you a bit on the stories, though. I mean, WWE has done feuds right and it would be nice to see them going back to that, but their in-ring performances have been lacking up until recently. I think they should focus on building their talent a bit more and introduce story-lines that will hook fans a bit later. We still have roughly 8 years before Wrestlemania 40 and 18 before we hit the half-century milestone. I figure before we even hit 35 the stories AND in-ring performances will be difficult even for Del Rey to match. I would LOVE to see a repeat of Monday Night Wars, though.
>LU and WWE competing
>Del Rey don't pull the same stupid shit Turner let Bischoff pull
>Solid 10+ years of back and forth
>Who will win?
If Vince somehow acquired the Bullet Club brand, he'd make a shitload of money. I've been to ROH shows, 90% of the marks are wearing BC shirts.
It's probably the most over gimmick outside of the WWE.
> Implying I was going to watch anyway
I haven't seen a full Raw since before last year's Survivor Series and I feel like I haven't missed a thing.
Not the guy you were talking to, but I being so stoked for Rey's title run, only for Cena to come out moments later and steal that opportunity from him. Rey seemed so broken by the fact that he had won it for a moment only to have it snatched away from him. Seriously, WWE. You had an amazing, over wrestler vs a stale character fewer people were cheering and somehow you fucked it up?
>WWE allowed the Absolute Intense Wrestling promotion to advertise two of their upcoming events on the microphone at last nightтАЩs WWE live event in Cleveland. Apparently there is some sort of working relationship there.
We are entering a new era lads, the era when WWE finally works with other promotions, expect WWE vs indies pretty damn soon
Why is that? I personally find luchadore-style wrestling to be some pretty entertaining stuff. Does Vince just not like anything that isn't American? Does he not understand the superiority of certain styles over Americanized styles?
I kept reading that they are seeking a luchador to appeal to the hispanics, but they already have Samurai del Sol aka Kalisto, he's an amazing pro-wrestler, dunno why they are not giving him some solo run since the whole Lucha Dragons thingy was killed by the main roster shit booking.
Because he's half the size of the average wrestler in WWE. That shouldn't really matter though, seeing as how Rey made them a shitton of money off merchandise and this guy is way younger and arguably way better.
Because only neckbearded manchildren want manlets and/or out of shape fatasses like Bryan/Neville/Owens/Wyatt/etc to be the top guys, and that they think that it's cool to "boo" agains the grain when in reality watching WWE isn't cool altogether.
>out of shape fatasses like Bryan/Neville/Owens/Wyatt/etc to be the top guys
Exactly how can you consider Neville an out of shape fat ass?
The status quo of WWE. Big tough guy, great character, someone who doesn't flop around like a fish when selling (if they sell at all), someone who can power lift, decent catchy ring entrance theme, you name it.
Not some fucking faggot who has jizz spaghetti hair, is barely 5ft tall with barely any muscle mass, who flops around the ring after taking a clothesline, has little/zero/shitty character, and that has great "technical wrestling/ring work" that doesn't involve power moves.
No one, because we can't have a top guy anymore, because they will just get booed. The only "top guys" we can have that won't get booed are those that are completely unbelievable and/or are injury prone because today's generation is the worst generation of wrestling fans.
Get con with the times Vinnie Mac, power wrestlers are history, the fans now want the likes of shawn michaels, Benoit, Guerrero, etc. We like good technic not just grapple holds forever
Okay, for all of you hot dog sniffers out there, I'm trying to create a Lucha Underground Season 1 torrent.
We fucking get it already. No one likes Hogan.
Ratings hit a new low. They need to do something big. Would love to see an angle involving a huge stable. Maybe Wyatt taking on the Authority.
>Bray making HHH beg for his life in the ring
>tfw all i want is LU season DVD/Blu-ray/VHS whatever the fuck just gimme
L Ray plz
I'm seeding Lucha Underground again and will be for a bit, I just woke up.
Sorry but you can give Reigns the best storylines ever, and he will still be booed out of the building because of the shitty wrestling fan generation of liking midgets and out of shape retards.
And seriously, why do idiots still like Bray Wyatt? He isn't scary, he isn't threatening, he loses like almost every match, he has absolutely NO legitimacy at all, and he's fat and has a neckbeard.
>Wrestling fan generation of liking people who can actually wrestle and can talk on the mic for more than 12 seconds without fucking up.
And in all honesty Reigns has been stepping up his game recently. Much better in the ring and on the mic. That match with Wyatt last night was pretty great from both of them. Just needs a better story line and maybe an actual prize for them both to be after.
There's really nothing wrong with Reigns, he'll grow into a good next-gen star. The problem is Vince thought he could push Reigns immediately and make everyone like him, that's what really caused Reigns' backlash.
You know, like what happened when Rocky was first pushed...
>Wrestling fan generation of liking people who can actually wrestle and can talk on the mic for more than 12 seconds without fucking up.
Except they aren't? All of them are just as shitty in both ring and mic work.
All Daniel Bryan does is a billion kicks and is just as shitty as Reigns on the mic. Ziggler is bad at everything, including selling. Bray Wyatt is out of shape and can barely do anything in the ring, and is mic work is super stale as bread out in the sun too long. Owens is just the same as Wyatt, except idiots want him to be pushed WAY to the top way too fucking soon (seriously he's only been around the main roster for less than half a year). And Nerdville is the perfect example of a bland wrestler that's only liked by neckbeards.
Plot twist: Kane's demonic schizophrenia is actually Bray Wyatt's mind control over Korporate Kane. Kane joins Wyatt family as a brainwashed demonic drone.
Wyatt then aims for Stardust and the Ascension. All three join the cult. Wyatt then does the impossible he brainwashes Cena to join him, thus turning Cena heel (but only because he brainwashed him, so Cena's irl good guy stuff is safe).
Extended Wyatt Family vs Authority.
All you smarks need to stop booing Eva Marie, it's exactly what she wants. Giving her any reaction is giving her hope and she thinks people are actually interested in her, just stay quiet and it will kill her.
Every point you made is either a flat out lie or a gross exaggeration. I mean I should have seen this coming, given that all you do all day is same fag about bringing Hogan back and complaining about smarks whilst assuming that a smark is just someone who likes the wrestlers you don't like. Luckily you didn't say Hogan, Midgets, or manlet in your response or it would have been auto-filtered and I wouldn't have been able to respond at all.
>Have you watched the recent NXTs?
No, and idiots really need to stop watching it. Or at least stop considering it's roster and WWE's roster on equal level.
For example, Kevin Owens. The moment his fat ass got onto the main roster and feuded with Cena, for god knows what reason they thought this guy was going to be the next top guy. When he hasn't even been on the main roster for like a month.
The new day is honestly face. They have been all summer, but Vince the retard turned them back to heel on a whim to feed to the nostalgia team. Seriously, the Dudley's are my all-time favorite tag-team, but they never need the titles again. New day went from the most vilified racist McMahon creations, to the absolute best thing on the mainroster, so keep them with their momentum. Obviously they won't.
I'm not really buying Crews. I haven't really seen any Uhaa Nation stuff but I'm not impressed yet. Obviously athletically gifted but still manages to be boring. He's alright on the mike thus far but lacks any genuine charisma.
It's because out of any possibilty of a team for 3 talented, athletic black men, their gimmick is being preachers. On Jericho's podcast with them, they tell that's even how Vince pitched it. "I want you to be preachers".
On Smackdown right? It's funny how they were supposedly taking Daniel Bryan signs when they didn't want him getting over, but Benoit signs are ok.
Y2J turning on HBK in 07 is majorly unappreciated.
>"I want you to be preachers".
tbh blacks are pretty gud at being preachers, also BIg E dad is a preacher himself so he had it on his blood. But The New Day should be use as an example on how good talent and work out a shit gimmick if they let them.
Is he marrying the Bella whore? There was something about her contract being over so it would be logical for her. Though it will probably compromise Cena's career in the long run. Stll, some time away from Cena will hopefully refresh the product. Between that and LU2 things are looking up.
Can we all agree that so as long as a Bella holds the record for longest reigning divas champ, that Divas will FOREVER be a piss break?
No more "Divas Revolution" or any other praising of the division please?
I can see a 2016 Taker vs Kane feud ending in a casket match. In which they both fall into the casket never to be seen again. Double retirement.
Maybe make that a Buried Alive In An Inferno Casket In A Cell Match.
What are you talking about? One post was supporting an anon and the other post was about showing another anon some legit sites for his question.
>lel at least i remember, and i dont post much anymore
His brother has cancer.
Since you post this every chance you get and nobody replies, here is your reply.
>If Kane wins the title, could we see a Kane vs Taker feud to finish Kane's career?
