even sadder if you know this guys story
The Pogues - A Rainy Night In Soho
This thread is all wrong.
You want heartbreak, you go to the man: George Jones.
You got your wistful heartbreakers (Good Year for the Roses), your broken-home heartbreakers (The Grand Tour), your 40-years-of-tormented-unrequited-love heartbreakers (He Stopped Loving Her Today), and pretty much every second song the man sings will rip your heart out.
The man sang the soundtrack to every slow, whiskey-fueled dissolution ever.
reminds me of pic related
now we're talking
didnt feel a thing
beach boys are happy always right?
this was when brian was suicidal as fuck
Bioshock 2 Had some tear worthy music
But for actual music here's another
Luciano Pavarotti May you rest in peace:
If you want a little war-time heartbreak:
Lucero, The War
Richard Shindell, Sparrows Point (little obscure, can't find a great Youtube version)
George Jones, Wild Irish Rose (yeah, he does war-time heartbreak too)
The ending theme song after Nightwish last concert, which is originally written by Hans Zimmer, but they did some kind of cover on it.
>inb4 angsty teenager
Ya'll need some American feels.
more joy than sad
water washing up against them rocks, i think its working
what hes wearing just ruined the whole fucking thing
giving me them black man slavery chills
You're disrespecting the legend
these songs usually make me sad as fuck
If you've ever been in a relationship this song for some reason encapsulates perfectly the scariness if shaky relationship. I first heard this song shortly after me and my gf of 7 years broke up. It's full of feels.
not for me
fucking hell yes 9/10
feel freaked out more than sad
giving me black man slavery chills again
last two are classics
love the last song
But this is, in my opinion, the saddest song in the world. It feels like a suicide letter. This is the original version. It should never have been redone.
Pour More Oil - Her Name Is Calla
If you sit in complete silence and close your eyes while listening to this i dare you to not cry or get shivers throughout your body.
The line "Wrap your arms around my heart again - i am home at last" hits so god damn hard.
Have some feely feels that make you feel.
>Hey bro jump on live so we can pwn some noobs
The only thing that kept X-box live going ^
Still not doing it?
>had to be me, someone else might have gotten it wrong
Well this is cheating but fuck you.
End Game everybody.
Video plus song = waterfalls.
If you love your dad, this will kill you. It kills me. Probably my favourite video too.
>also works if you're trying to help someone who can't be helped
Prepare your fucking hankies.
Saddest song ever made
>holding back tears right now
I am very disappointed by this thread.
I listened to most of the songs and every single one except the ones i posted sound like movie or video game sound tracks.
You are all clearly emotionless autists.
I am very mad at all of you.
"mah dawg stole ma trerk and ran awf with ma waaf and drove over a cliff y'all"
- happy burnett
"that was 'teenage heartbreak at the suicide jamboree'.. and now for a sad sawng"
- hanged williams jr
news just in: leonard cohen found dead in suspected suicide after learning justin beiber is releasing another single
>only I understand emotion
>optimum taste in emotional music
>everyone is autistic except me
'Cause cancer fucking sucks. "...no one dies with dignity"
Or how about writing a goodbye song when you've been diagnosed terminal?
This is probably my favourite sad song. The soundtrack is one of the main reasons LOTR was such an amazing trilogy. It's the only movie soundtrack I listen to daily.
You guys don't know.
The hurt original is so much fucking better. You know, cause the lyrics are sung correctly by the guy who actually wrote it
Crown of shit >>>> crown of thornes (cause jesus is stupid)
Ok so first imagine listening to a song that you and your wife love for years, getting a job away to make money to secure your family life and listening to it every fucking time you go to see her, then one day she tells you she feels like she doesnt know who you are anymore and that we should separate, then a few weeks later in a bar with friends thinking things will get better with or without her, but lo and behold that ficking song startsplaying
>home sweet home (motley crue)
Im tearing up now man. Cheers.
>You guys don't know.
yes we do
>The hurt original is so much fucking better.
> You know, cause the lyrics are sung correctly by the guy who actually wrote it
>Crown of shit >>>> crown of thornes
trent reznor preferred johny cash's rendition and thorns = poetically and sonically > 'shit' .. fact.
just because you like to hear the poo poo word in a song doesn't make it aesthetically superior.
the word shit has to be used in the proper context or it sounds juvenile.
the circle jerks : 'when the shit hits the fan'
or 'pablo picasso was never called .. an ASSHOLE' are examples of great use of expletives for poetic reference because they are framed by contextually in place references.
cash was right to change the word.
not because it's a 'swear word' .. in fact :
are noble words of the proletariat that were demonised by the english nobility and the papacy.
they were the nomenclature of the working classes before guttenberg 'invented' the printing press with movable type (200 years after the chinese).
those words were sneered at by the rich and the godly who were the only ones with books because books were handwritten and expensive. guess who wrote them... monks. that's why they had access.
so monosyllabic nomenclature called 'cursing' is actually a proud badge of class, now referred to as 'offensive'.. so society is saying it's 'offensive' to be poor by inference. .. congratulations.. rich cunts and the church won.
>(cause jesus is stupid)
he was a dumb prick as is he as his own dad.
and a hypocrite.
- don't commit adultery (so he fucks his dad, joe's wife)
- i'm here to save you from sin (a concept he invented as his own dad and implemented with a tree that didn't need to exist for any other reason than to entrap the dynamic duo)
reznor preferred johny's version and so do i (as a musician of 45 years)
i love NIN with songs like 'closer'
'head like a hole' rocked my world as a song and a clip
No. It's kind of a shit-tier song, even with Johnny Cash singing it.
Self-absorbed, navel-gazing bullshit. "Oh I'm so numb, I hurt myself... I've become this unfeeling monster, oh woe is me."
"jesus' blood never failed me yet"
usually reduces people to a flood of tears in about ten minutes.
a homeless person repeating a refrain over and over again.
tom waits did an accompaniment some years ago.
i can't listen to it as it makes me suicidally depressed.
it was recorded by an audio scientist and repeats over and over again in the original recording. it was left looping for one of his classes as he went out to the office and he came back and all his students were wailing like banshees.
the saddest you'll ever hear.
I'm sorry but this sounds fucking peaceful to me. Gives me hope, puts a smile on my miserable face.
the tom waits version of this song caused me to go crazy and attempt suicide back in the day after scrawling obscenities on my face with permanent marker after drinking red wine.
if you suffer depression with suicidal ideation I urge you not to listent to this song
i'm not kidding.
it gets worse the longer you listen to it.
something about the repetition and the plaintive hopelessness underlying it ('jesus' blood' i've just read on wiki, refers to red wine hobos drank.. it meant something else to me.. i'm not alone in this)
to me it reminded me of my destitution as a homeless person years ago and the faces and fading lives of the people i met in a soul wrenching slow death of decay .. also memories of childhood abuse under the cult of catholicism. .. irony / sardonic bitterness
the horror.. the horror .. ;)
What the hell is wrong with you people
Makes me feel the feels i dont wanna feel
That feel guy theme
I'll never know what it means to be brave, this song hits me.

Songs without lyrics
This is what you're looking for.
After the death of Nujabes, his friends made a tribute album in his honour. My favorite track on that album was by Five Deez and it was a track explaining their experiences with the man.
This song was illegal to play in the past until Mozart memorized it from a time he heard it and put it on papper. Fucking monks kept it on secret bcause they considered it as sacret and powerful (in a melancholyc way, but also because it makes ppl cry when playing it) I guess not the same impact to these days but something ralated to the Standall syndrome of being in and european cathedeal and acustics. Sorry for my shit tier english
