This is the best metalcore album, While She Sleeps have spirit and substance to their music rather than just breakdowns
I'll just offer the same opinion.
Pick only one
>out of my way
>mfw im just clicking on post numbers
You're mom #SYKKBURN
how does it feel being a edgy little twat that hates his dad?
Holy fuck you had me going there for a second. You prime b8ing faggot motherfucker, you should do a tutorial on this it's really good.
8/10, would smash you in the teeth then hug you just for getting me to reply
0.5/10 for making me reply, but really awfull bait
>still doesn't know about my post glam speed folk
Oh shit, this is too easy, lets 404 this faggot thread before the buttpain gets any worse, haha holy fuck
ICP, or anyone from Psychopathic Records.
Tell me about it. Last m8 I knew was super into that shit. All his other friends too. He took me to a "metal" club last time I saw him, with two floors separated; one for metalcore, one for everything else. I stayed on the later floor. Went up to take a peek at the other floor and...oh god it was horrific.
Name a better metalcore album.
>protip: You can't.
mother of god, it's all toilet sounds!
Not all core is related to punk or metalcore though. Breakcore is an objectively good genre and literally has nothing to do with metalcore, hardcore, or deathcore.
>implying this is bad
Music is a lot like an apple. All of it's good except the core.
Your breakcore or whatever the fuck it is, is still shit.
Breakcore is just extreme breakbeat, a bunch of breakcore projects do go down the metallica/punk route but that's just a few bands.
>Implying this has anything to do with rock/metal/punk at all
this should speak for itself...
Do you honestly think that all core music comes from the same route?
There are core genres out there that have stylistic origins in other genres that sound nothing like trashy metalcore.
Find the angst in any of these songs
>protip: you can't.
Lel at all the people condemning metalcore as shit because they're basing the whole genre around the mainstream scene junk
>Implying Between the Buried and Me's Colors isn't one of the greatest progressive metal/metalcore album of all time
"Coalesce" - 0 Results
"Botch" - 0 Results
"Rorschach" - 0 Results
"Deadguy" - 0 Results
okay maybe I'll try a more relevant band
"The Chariot" - 0 Results
"Shai Hulud" - 0 Results.
Y'all fucked up.
Memphis May Fire
While She Sleeps
nothing else compares
I wouldn't describe BFMV as flatout metalcore, but I guess they're worth mentioning
I deleted that post because I meant to say rock instead of metal, saved it & was about to post it but got distracted
It's metalcore but they lean more towards rock and an older sound. There's like fucking subgenres of this subgenre, I dig diversity and all but it gets confusing classifying everything together
where is the judgment in my post? you jump right to homophobia...smh
the OP is likely a girl...and both posts are gushing over the same guy, and not music, lyrics, etc.
so i have a reasonable reason for what i said, what about you...?
Between the Buried and Me
Circle of Concept
Anal Cunt (I guess grindcore is metalcore)
To Spit in the Face of God
We Came to Slaughter
Dragged through Nails and Broken Glass
Stabbed in the Chest Repeatedly
Crown The Empire
I See Stars
Capture The Crown
Of Mice and Men
For All Those Sleeping
Hands Like Houses (Not really metal core)
Memphis May Fire
The Color Morale
The Bunny The Beat
They're hardly metalcore to begin with but they're usually grouped with metalcore because of the riff style. They're arguably one of the greatest metal bands today, which is funny considering the shitty subgenre they come from.
They call themselves a hardcore band and to me this is valid statement. They are sxe which is hardcore invention
Dont get me wrong, I luv Converge and ton of other band you may like as well but non of these is suitable for this thread
Thank you kind sir!
I saw I See Stars, Crown the Empire, Ice Nine Kills. I wrote "I See Stars eats dick" on Crown the Empires shitty tour van, lol.
I wanna see the rest of that list live. :(
>Implying BTBAM was metalcore after Silent Circus
That shouldn't be in this thread, it's not the best metalcore album, it isn't one, it is, in fact, the best progressive death metal album,
Siiiick. ADTR Was the first band that got me into heavier music. It started with ADTR then moved on to AA and now I just listen to everything from like Dying Fetus to Emarosa, lol. I don't really enjoy BMTH that much anymore.
I prob know what FATS is, just don't know the acronym, so please do tell.
For All Those Sleeping. And my heavy music started when I was like 13 with Linkin Park lmao. But yeah, ADTR's my favourite band, narrowly missed out on Meet n Greet tickets and I'm fucking gutted, but oh well. I'll see em again sometime
my buddy Jonny got pulled up on stage while AA was here and they had him scream for a song for them. Now whenever AA comes through he gets 4 free backstage passed and we drink on their tour bus with them after.
They love Jack Daniels, lol
can someone recommend me some good melodic hardcore? havn't listened to it much in the last few years but i was going through my old music and got back into it. stuff like beloved, hopesfall, misery signals
that was pretty much where my journey started as well, but then I got out of it in favor of other bands like The Black Dahlia Murder, Animals As Leaders, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Contortionist, Cynic, Intronaut, Horse The Band and a whole bunch of other shit
Metalcore is a mixture of hardcore punk and metal, with a heavy focus on breakdowns.
Thrash metal took heavy metal and just made it faster and more aggressive. It paved the road for more extreme metal genres. It has a focus riffs and the guitar solo.
It's hard to define progressive metal because there's different types (like progressive heavy, progressive doom, progressive core, progressive thrash/death/black etc), but in general progressive metal just has complex song writing, incorporation of a lot more genres into the music, and a dynamic flow.
I like mathcore myself
yeah they've kindof gone overboard with sub-genres nowadays
It is true, but I can't play anything. Johnny also got to do an opening song for The Color Moral yesterday at Warped tour.
there literally wasn't anyone playing anything in the middle. i think hardcore might have led to metalcore, but theres a distinct shift in the actual playing of the music.
hardcore used to be punk, just louder, now metalcore is like metal, just softer vocals and younger kids
I know how you feel bro. I just did the same.
I hardly browse /b/ but whenever I do, he's here, lurking everywhere
He's a good vocalist. you should consider picking one up, could change your life. Already got some good connections with a band.
that's exactly what it is. I enjoy old hardcore ALOT more than I enjoy metalcore. metalcore doesn't have any spine. all the real emotional catharsis comes from old hardcore IMO
sick of it all is a pretty good band, so is hatebreed, h20, etc.. even old old AFI was hardcore.
AFI is actually listenable up until right after black sails in the sunset.
their cd shut your mouth and open your eyes was great.
back in the day, record companies would put out samplers, and you could hear a couple songs from every band on the label, and it was awesome. this is before MP3s. so that was really how you found out about new music
This guy gets it. Parkway Drive is awesome.
Number[s] - Woe is Me
Horizons - Parkway Drive
Know Hope - Color Morale
With Roots Above and Branches Below - Devil Wears Prada
Outspoken - For Those Sleeping
Let the Ocean Take Me - Amity Affliction
The Hollow - Memphis May Fire
Also I enjoy
Beartooth, Vanna, Old Miss May I, For The Fallen Dreams, The Devil Wears Prada (all except dear love)
All time favourites are August Burns Red and Volumes despite the 0010.
