ITT: Favorite movies that you think no one else saw.
Never did get around to watching Surrogates.
Anything with bruce willis in it after i watched both the expendables movies, I refuse to watch.
Leon: The Professional. Some people have seen it, but not a lot. /b/ seems to have a lot of fans of it, because of loli Natalie Portman.
Also The Rules of Attraction. Second favourite movie of all time, but people who've seen it, let alone those who love it, seem to be a rare breed.
Malcolm: One of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
This film was nothing like it was advertised and it was great
It certainly has a bit of fanart, and whatever pic related is, but it seemed like an obscure movie to me.
The second coming of Christ and he has to stop a vampire uprising.
But wait, they're lesbian vampires.
But wait, also it's a musical.
But wait! Also Jesus learns Kung Fu.
Also, he teams up with a Luchador.
Good movie, It's like a cheaper version of the Bourne series, more or less, and yes. A young nat port.
Meh, Now a couple good b-rated comedies i've seen is Tucker and Dale do evil, And A Good ol Fashion Orgy.
>both with the same fat guy, was hitrarious
Also Lola Rennt. Kind of a mindfuck movie, was surprised at how few people had seen it.
Natalie Portman was actually what made me want to watch it, but not for pedo reasons. Sort of. Mostly it was because it blew me away how similar her character is to one of mine.
The Cell. Yes, J-Lo is the actress. Her job is to be a scared girl exploring a psychopath's mind. She does fine.
More importantly, this director is an immensely powerful and provoking sorcerer of imagery and color. He shouldn't write, he should be an art director for a great writer... but so far, that hasn't happened.
>Big red text
May seem like a bad movie but it's underrated as fuck.
I had to watch this in my film studies class. My tutor mentioned it was a bit of a cult film so I thought it was reasonably popular. I suppose being German, maybe it's not so popular in English-speaking countries.
>Feast series (Especially Feast 2)
Feast 1 is awesome
they actually managed to pull off every cheesy cliche they were going for
very very entertaining
2 and 3 however are retarded, shot together then split into two completely boring, tedious sequels
Yup, Loli Portman is why I love this film, story is good to.
this movie. watched it randomly one day, and i didn't expect it to be that good. that one nigga and his playoffs made me laugh for some reason.
>in Korean but omfg one of the best movies ever
>plot twist on Fight Club level
Not sure which movies to list because I kind of gotten into the habit of occasionally watching older black and white films.
>The Seventh Seal
>The Great Dictator
>12 Angry Men
>Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
More recent color movies
>The Man From Nowhere
>The Raid1, 2
Just straight up gore and smut and every thing you want from a shitty old B movie.
i saw part 1 and 2 and also saw other necrophilia movies like buio omega and a german one i dont really remember.
I'm actually surprised more people I know didn't see this.
Caught this one when it was on Netflix while binging in the horror section. Not what I was expecting but goooood.
>Favorite movies that you think no one else saw
/b/ in movie form
Because it's such a classic, most people won't watch it, and just pretend like they've seen it
> pic related. Everyone knows it, but hardly anyone has seen it, save for lucky high school students.
maybe all you people with your obscure movie knowledge can help me.
I saw a movie that was amazing, but I went and forgot the name.
it was like jackie chan I think. one of the major asian martial artists.
He was a cop, led a squad into some place to get the badguys, and his entire squad got killed, the bad guys made a video game out of the event.
Bad guys were rich kids into extreme sports.
Do any of you know this movie?
woww good burn
Fucking great grindhouse splatterfest. Also; Canadian, right down to the song during the end credits, which also plays during the end credits of The Raccoons cartoon.
it's not obscure by any means, it's just beyond most peoples intellectual grasp i guess and it doesn't get posted too often.
it gets posted on /tv/ alot though
Come at me
Death Wish 3.
Death Wish 1 was a great suspense film that featured Charles Bronson playing Paul Kersey, an architect, whose daughter and wife were raped, and his wife was killed. He takes a trip to a small town in Arizona where he gets the idea from a business associate who says back the day of the old west, people took care of their own when it came to crime. He slowly begins to fight back crime by attacking muggers, and then proceeds to kill them using a gun his business associate gave him. It was a more subtle "noir" like film, very good and slow paced, definitely worth watching.
Death Wish 2, Paul and his daughter move to Los Angeles after being "outlawed" for killing muggers in New York City only to start up again when rapist muggers raped his house keeper and kidnapped his daughter. His daughter eventually dies after jumping out a window which caused Paul to go in a murderous but tactiful frenzy to get revenge on the criminals. It's a fun movie, decent in most respects, Jimmy Page did the soundtrack which is great. If you enjoyed Death Wish 1, watch Death Wish 2.
Death Wish 3! Paul is back in the New York groove, visiting an old friend of his that was just killed by muggers. Needless to say, he goes on a crazy rampage killing a gang leaded by Fraker, a reverse mohawk punk that terrorizes the neighborhood. Why is this movie good? The fucking violence of course! Especially when Paul goes around town with a machine gun wasting punks in the street!
It is in every YLYL thread, got it from one about 1 month ago nigga.
I refuse to believe that nobody watched this. Death Wish 1 was the first gritty movie I ever watched. I wish Charles Bronson would have lived a little longer and put out a few more movies.
Do yourself a favor and check out this movie
I thought that movie was solid as fuck, but I agree with that other guy that the ending blew. The way the first graphic novel ended was better than the movie, but I think it could be done even better.
I was hoping it would end kinda dark like the main character (cant remember his name right now) actually did what he was being talked into, and the train just went on like it had been. Was also hoping for some kind of super mindfuck ending where the train had to be fed the children they were kidnapping in order to keep running. Not sure how it would work, but it would have been sweet.
Ending of the film also opens a plot hole with something that happened earlier in the film but...Ill ignore it because everything but the ending was awesome.
I raged so hard at that scene i don't even know how i finished the movie.
i wouldn't recommend that piece of flaming shit to my worst enemy.
I don't want to clog the thread with my nostalgia, so I will just lump some titles into one post.
Last Star Fighter
Transformers, the Movie
The Never Ending Story
The Princess Bride
The Dark Crystal
It's the best in a long time.. Seen it a month ago and immediately broke up w my gf..
This movie.. I am this movie..
oh god, I and a few friends went to see that out of the blue. I couldn't eat carrots for a week for fear they were going to impale me. awesome movie though.
did the same thing with tropic thunder. good times were had.
Meh, that movie is pretty boring, typical romantic shit done thousand times before, but this time they're lesbians
But the sex scenes are top tier, the best lesbian porn ever made without a doubt
my jiggaboo, excellent choice
Fuck, I'm seeing a lot of mainstream movies here. I'm going to take a stab and say not many have seen this one either.
Not much of a fan of zach galifinahdjfjekus. But this movie was surprisingly good
Soldier starring Kurt Russell.
"Director Paul W.S. Anderson's trippy, futuristic science-fiction film follows a cadre of men, born and bred to be shock troops in battle, who are made obsolete by a new race of genetically engineered soldiers. Sgt. Todd (Kurt Russell) is one of the rejects left for dead on a junkyard planet. There, he slowly rediscovers his humanity while helping a community of human castaways battle the new breed of soldier threatening to wipe them out. "
Great movie, great action and special effects and it supposedly takes place in the Blade Runner universe, plus its got Kurt Russell.
Look who it is again, ID Heaven. I'm fed up with your shit faggot. The other day when you called me a newfag, yeah, haven't forgotten about that yet. Fuck you I've been on here for months and probably get on here more than you anyways. Don't you know that you make yourself look like a newfag when you call others newfag? Just because you learned how to hack your name and change it to "Heaven" does not give you the right to disrespect anyone at any time.
In the same vein....
"Director Peter Hyams transplants High Noon to outer space in this sci-fi thriller starring Sean Connery as William O'Niel, a cosmic lawman on a Jupiter moon outpost who conducts an inquiry after three miners go mad and die in rapid succession. But his probe doesn't sit well with the mine manager who's boosting worker productivity through dangerous drugs and he promptly dispatches a pair of thugs to get rid of O'Niel."
Awesome movie, it was made the same year as the original Alien so it has the same sort of style to it with some really cool special effects. Its also violent as fuck, anti-authoritarian and Sean Connery is totally badass in it. What's not to love.
Another movie i recommend for those who havent seen it
The US one is not cut. Its was going to be by the jewstein company (why the fuck would they pick up the rights if they didn't like the movie the way it was?) but the guy who made it said fuck you and then an online petition or something happened.
But it isnt cut.
The Way of The Gun.
Great gunfights and great acting in this one.
Here's the opening scene if that doesn't sell it to you I don't know what will.
Yeah, this one actually got some feels stirring in the old coalbox.
This ones by the same guys that made Oldboy. divesru best
Top secret agency + shit hits the fan = Awesome movieness.
The big veiny cock of action/thriller-suspense is eagerly slid into the tight moist vag of comedy in this movie, there also some very note worthy performances. Well done by the whole cast.
Tl;dr : It's live action Archer. Watch it.
better than Oldboy in my opinion. just incredible.
great movie about 9 convicts who escape from prison and go on the run in a stolen van. awesome soundtrack to boot.
Ran into this one randomly on kickass. Didn't think a lot of it, but Peter Dinklage is goddamn legendary in this fucking movie.
Good old fashioned B movie romp, and a whole hell of a lot better at depicting LARP culture than anything else I've seen.
This movie made me feel like I was watching a Tim Powers book come to screen.
I am disappointed in this thread so far... not because people are wrong.. but because I wanted to find some good movies to watch and I have seen too many of these... wrote down a few titles though... go more obscure even if it isn't "Best movie ever" and was just... "pretty damn awesome."
In the Line of Fire.
John Malcovich is an absurdly dangerous assassin trying to kill the President and only Secret Service agent Clint Eastwood can stop him, unfortunately Clint thinks the President is an asshole.
You don't butt in line you don't steal you don't sell drugs and you don't molest children.
God bolty :( and that ending :/ great movie just a sad ending but it doesn't take away from the film
Based Howard Beal
did you like it??
Dude Dr. Strangelove is fucking hysterical if you can't appreciate it because its old then you should just kill yourself now because you'll clearly never have an opinion worth hearing.
Okay, one of my favorites. Not many people have seen it chances are, because most of you are not Hungarians. Great fucking movie.
I have yet to meet someone who has seen this movie.
Jeremy Renner plays Jeffrey Dahmer, really interesting movie about an alienated deviant.
Yeah, Tasmanian tiger. This one was great.
Not sure if this one's actually a good movie or if Stephanie Leonidas is just mind-numbingly attractive.
This the best Dutch movie ive ever seen. Im sure barely anyone of you knows it but its fucking great.
