I don't want to be the one that has to sort that shit up.
Thank god he was wearing a helmet.
Not necessarily, in that specific situation he might have been crushed by the falling load because of it falling from such a lateral front and therefore being able to just bury him inside the cage.
I work in a warehouse that uses the same racks. A couple weeks ago a driver hit a rack and sheared the bolts on the floor and nothing lihe that happened. I'm guessing that the racks in the .gif were at or over their rated capacity.
As a factory worker on the safety comittee I'd definitely write him up for it, probably encourage the safety guy to can his ass/deny any workman's comp. You don't get out of that cage.
You should probably watch it and re read my post so you don't look retarded.
Closest to wreck only moves cause car bumped her, middle person is still motionless after the crash. Farthest away (guy) immediately reacts and dodges the accident and pieces.
It looks like there are some sort of large white bags in there.
But you can see in the video he would have been crushed had he stayed in the cage. The cage is meant to protect you from loads following along a much more vertical trajectory, not meant to protect you from a huge ass load avalanching inside the cage from the side.
If anything it just proves how the cage isn't sufficient.
What if objects get into the cage from the side?
This is not just luck but also skill.
Yes I understand from a legal perspective like that, he's guilty, but that's just retarded, you shouldn't take that sort of approach when dealing with safety. Fact is, had he done the official "safe thing", he would have been surely injured, perhaps even killed depending on the exact content of the falling load. You're speaking like a lawyer right now, and that's not at all a good thing.
Too lazy to post individual gifs
>do it for me /b/
Let's imagine a different accident.
Man is running a machine that requires gloves, his glove gets caught, causing his hand to get pulled into the machine.
Ok, he's hurt, workman's comp.
Man operating without gloves would have been fine, but it's still the wrong thing to do.
No, because working without gloves is also a terrible, terrible idea and not worth the perceived 'safety benefits' one would receive from working without them.
however I do believe that in that situation that man made the correct decision.
Can you provide evidence that backs up your claim that one "should not leave a forklift cage when objects are falling laterally and into the cage itself", because I don't believe a work of your bullshit and it will remain bullshit until proven otherwise. I'm unable to find anything that stipulates an occupant must remain inside the cabin when tons of shit is falling toward him or he is not entitled to workman's comp.
So much this. People like this are literally the reason for the corruption of our society. Power hungry cunts who just want to assert they're authority over everyone. Jump off a fucking cliff and make the world a little better.
Yes, but in both examples my point still stands: what's at fault is the lackluster safety procedures. Clearly, the cage isn't enough safety for that environment, just like the gloves don't provide enough safety for that machine if they can simply get caught and drag a hand along with them.
And really, there's more than just "workman's comp" which matters here. Like I said, you're really speaking like a lawyer (which isn't a good thing)...I mean, how can you really just imply "you should have just allowed yourself to get badly injured and maybe even killed, because then it wouldn't have been your legal fault and you would have received compensation".
For the men and women of our armed forces.
That's one of the first things they teach you when you learn to drive a fork truck. You don't leave that cage if there's an accident. It's the safest place to be. If he broke his wrist sprinting away from the cab when he fell for example, that's all on him.
So's leaping off a fork truck and sprinting in a factory. he got lucky, he didn't make a good judgement call at all.
Because he's the same kind of guy who would jump free of a tipping fork truck, get crushed, then blame the company.
Accidents happen, it's our responsiblity as employees to handle them correctly and not chimp out and get hurt then expect people to feel sorry for us.
No, you have to wear sleves with tight cuffs.
>washed in a bidet
You seem to be the first one who has noticed it or at least commented on it.
Naw, if your seat belt is on and you brace yourself as you're instructed to do you'll be fine if the fork truck tips.
As for that particular avalanche of stuff he MIGHT have been hurt, but his odds were better in the cage.
Basically the guy hit on a 17 and got a 21.
>That's one of the first things they teach you when you learn to drive a fork truck
Nice evidence. It's not evidence. There is no law that says "leaving a fork lift truck cage when shit is falling on you or into the cabin will result in you receiving no compensation" which is sort of what you're arguing here.
What you are forgetting is that these events are considered one whole. Him running for his life when shit is falling into the cabin is a result of the shit falling on him; one event. If he were injured during this flee, the collapse would be the causation of said injury. Now, if the collapse was ruled to be HIS fault (whatever that may be, such as negligence), then he'd get sweet nothing apart from appropriate discipline. However, if the collapse was ruled as the company's fault, then he WOULD get workman's comp were he injured during his escape.
This would be established by a tribunal which would gather evidence and testimony then judge who was at fault based on this.
and you choosed to brose 4chan before taking 6th grade english, faggot.
How to get a job at a warehouse?
Yes, I understand the logic of the "stay in the cage" thing, in many cases (tipping forklift, vertical load falling, etc.) it's a good safety measure. But you're not understanding the point. In this case, it was NOT a good safety measure, because it was evidently more dangerous than jumping out. Which leads me to my original point: the "fault" here is on the lackluster safety procedures. Clearly, the cage isn't enough, given it offers no protection against lateral loads like in that example. You can't actually blame someone for deviating from safety procedures when those very safety procedures would surely have gotten him badly injured or maybe even killed.
reminds me of this kid who went to take a piece of wood from a table saw. there was a quick sound of cutting and when he drew his hand back it had 2 fingers less with a third hanging from a piece of skin. he stared at his hand for maybe 10 sec then started hyperventilating into a shock. dumbass teens
They're always better in the cage. Some protection is better than no protection. had he nto been fast enough or fallen sooner or run the wrong way he would have taken 100% of that impact.
Listening to acid right now, happy MGTOW.
If you look at the video the lift is relatively unscathed, pushed to the side yes, but not crushed.
If he was any slower running he would've been certainly been crushed instead of having at worst a broken arm or leg on the lift.
Its obvious have never driven a lift before, nor hit something with one.
>They're always better in the cage
No, they fucking aren't. Look at the gif again.
He had an easy way out by jumping out to his right. By staying inside he would definitely have condemned himself to being crushed.
Fuck i don't get it. Why do women just fucking stand there and expect everything to be fine? My fucking girlfriend did this shit too. A dog was charging her dumbass and she just stood there as if the danger would magically go away.
>complains about gore
>doesn't complain about porn
You fuckwit, if you want to try to righteously defend the point of the thread you better point out the nongifs and other things like porn too.
>it's okay if I do stupid shit so long as other people do to!
>but we're on /b/ that means I can be a shit if I want
Yeah, and people can call you out on it.
Lucky for the other people
It's sad but true. /b/ is the only good place to find gore that wont get you put on a FBI watch list.
my fucker work mate almost crushed me under a huge beam a few days ago while he was fucking around on the forklift behind me and i was cutting bars on the saw. He was driving around carrying it and it hit a ceiling on the warehouse and fell down 2 feet behind me.
No.... at the speed those convoy's travel.... if they were tryign to get a specific target... they did it just right.... drive at upwards of 60 miles per hour and then just drive into a brick wall with barely any time to hit the brakes.... because thats pretty much what would've happened if that humvee had kept driving straight
You fail to see the fact that had his reaction time been shitter he most certainly wouldn't have been alive.
Just like cars most equipment can never fully be made safe for every situation, without fully neutering them from doing what they're designed to do, but they will most likely keep from getting killed in every situation.
Drive a lift and you'll see what I mean, they are powerful machines and you have to be aware of everything your doing to keep from injuring yourself or others.
And the safest spot anywhere in the area of a lift is the lift itself.
Lucky son of a bitch, In Russia and everything.
>piggy being lucky
piggy being marinated you blind fucks
Because feminists think men are supposed to be responsible for everything, while at the same time they should be treated specially.
Dumb bitches are dumb bitches there was no time for any heroics on the part of the guy to save their asses.
My first sight of one was quite young at my fairly rich cousin's house. He also had a fuckton of die-cast Transformers and was the first person I knew to get a Gameboy.
I never used the bidet.
there is no winning if they never shut up
and they are still here, running their mouths
"I think thats offensive!"
and the only people that give a shit is their hugbox friends with victem complex
and they always think it's a kid, because anyone who was politically incorrect would never talk to them since they are so fucking whiny
I stopped giving a shit after going to Roma and seeing people crossing a 4 way just before cars at 90km/h without watching nor blinking.
You're thread is shit because you're a fucking newfag who refuses to lurk and learn the board culture. If the shit we post is too strong for you, you're welcome to go suck a thousand dicks on Reddit, but you can fuck off here. Go kill yourself you fucking tumor, this board has gotten progressively worse because of idiots like you.
This really just felt like the most quality thread I've been in in a while. Why can't /b/ alwaysnbe like this?
Good content, no trolls, sauce was distributed, OP contributed. It just felt good.
Not that I'm trying to defend this guy, but during my forklift training we were told over and over to stay in the cage if anything were to fall.
It's a statistical thing. Seatbelts kill people, but save more. The cage is the same deal.
Yeah safe and boring. ONLY FUCKING OLD BORING CUNTS DRIVE VOLVOS. WE CAN THANK VOLVO FOR ALL THE OVER THE TOP SAFETY BULLSHIT LIKE SPEED CAMERAS AND REDUCED SPEED LIMITS AND SPEED HUMPS. IT WAS VOLVO WHO STARTED ALL THE SHIT AND GAVE THE IDEA TO OUR SHITTY GOVERNMENTS.
VOLVO: ONLY CUNTS DRIVE ONE
You want to see people getting lucky?
Check my ID.
Why is this thread trolling so hard and so bad?
Just go jack off or something.
Ok, that's even luckier than 3 drinks guy. The only vending machine I use is frequented by grad students. If any of them saw that they would jump on the opportunity for free food. With mine the 2 bags were stuck together and one pulled the other.
