>30% on rotten tomatoes
>decent heart of darkness like story

I loved thank you for smoking. The kid was annoying as fuck tho
The Delicatessen. A french film I believe, I saw it when I was 19 and it was kind of weird, however, it was pretty good. They make the meat out of peopleeeee oh lawd.
you might like red state as well
>mfw they've put the name of someone who've budgeted a lord of the rings film as if it assures something on their movie's quality
This film takes place in one room and it's like a 1.5 hour long conversation, yet it is one of the best movies of all time. Keeps the tension up until the end
Da hong deng long gao gao gua
>aka Raise the Red Lantern
I don't remember exactly what this shit was about, only that it was one visually stunning piece of cinema, in a sort of toned-down way
You do realise that a producer does a little bit more than just shell out the dough?
Again, 1.5 hour of conversation and interaction between the main characters that keep you on your toes until the climax
those 2 movies are pure fucking gold
One of my all time favorite movies. Wish it had had more of a budget to follow the book more closely though.
Either people saw this and hated it, or no one liked it. I loved it. One of the best movies of the 00's.
It's one of chinese director Zhang Yimou's earlier works. He went on to direct some really cool wuxia films, like House of Flying Daggers
No one ive spoken too has seen this. I think its great. Top tier acting and spooky as fuck to boot. Id give it a 9/10 easily one of my fav. Any anons agree or even seen this?
Nobody of the people in my area known that movie
before I've mentioned it
In Bruge is fantastic.
>I'm sorry for calling you an inanimate object. I was upset.
>have a hearty laugh
>watch animation show
>have a heartier laugh
>Watch EVERYTHING WILL BE OK.
Spend 2 hours outside on my balcony doing nothing but pondering life. Call dad and tell him I love him.
one of my favorite films ever...Christian Slater is god.
also my entry is pic related
Also this, I've never met anyone online who's seen this
>LOOK AT ME DADDY, IM A FARMER
man, it's so fucking bad but so good.
Also, Death Sentence is awesome. It drags on a bit too long, but it's one of my favorites.
Since I was about to make a thread for /b/ to recommend me some movies for tonight and I ran into this, I might as well post here.
Would like a movie I haven't seen similar to
So, good sci-fi movies, also watch them if you already haven't.
If you know this watch: Adam Chaplin
>posts a serbian film thinking he'll fit in
>is probably the only movie everybody on /b/ has watched several times
>is also a shit movie were shock value is the only decent selling point
This one is another favorite of mine. So pompous and overblown, yet so amazingly great, nothing even comes close.
That lengthy scene depicting Cleopatra's over-the-top entry into Rome is a real gem.
The DC runs well over 5 hours
Seriously, see this movie if you haven't. It's my favorite foreign film
Good film, especially for the budget.
I'm still not convinced anyone else has watched it.
>Christian Slater is god
His second film is also good.
I'm about to watch this one.
Just wanted to ask what you think about it.
This one is truly awesome and I highly recommend it. A movie with depth that a film buff can not help but love. Visually gorgeous and full of funny (at least to me) details about human behaviour. Also, it's obviously inspired by psychoanalysis.
Watched because of the potential boobs.
Stayed because, fuck this is a great movie.
This should be the official movie of /b/. It's wincest at its best.
King of Comedy (Hei kek ji wong)
Some Guy Who Kills People
>yfw no purging the xenos, even trough the himan were clearly stronger
The Cook the Thief His Wife & Her Lover
A great comedy from the late 80's
Whats that one movie with will smith? Is it handcock? Y-ya, no ones seen that!
Blue Is The Warmest Colour
Bought a bunch of cheap, low-budget foreign zombie flicks from amazon... this one was good considering it cost me ~ £3
i feel like no one has seen Kingdom of Heaven, and even fewer realize how much better the director's cut is
I Saw The Devil is really violent.
for the gore lovers.
The remake/reboot/redux version has Nic Cage, Eva Mendes & two iguanas
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call .
10/10 would hang out and watch movies with
also, pic related, I don't think that much people seen this, but it's somehow popular on 4chins
>tfw none of my friends like asian martial arts action movies
>See The Raid 1
Awesome good. Breaks a lot of tropes and has amazingly dense story for such an action heavy movie and tight choreography.
>Watch Raid 2 today
Group of guys all go one at a time.
Everyone and their mum can now fight awesome without any backstory.
Endless henchmen available without any reason.
Way to fuck it up.
A really intense dark movie that puts a realistic look on a superhero
Hentai Kamen, it's the shit.
Drive, dat soundtrack
Merikan here. Visiting Italy. Ignored this fucking pile of shit. Stayed in hotel room. Played W.O.W. and kept ordering burgers from hotel kitchen and sending them back for lack of 'merica. Who want's to fucking touch me?
Paprika was pretty good, too.
R.I.P Satoshi Kon ;_;
the talking was really interesting, but i hated the characters and the acting so much. only ok people whre the main character and the black dude. the others are so annoying i cant tell who i hated most. kinda ruined it for me
Bollocks, I'm a liability! I am the Invisible Jihadi! They seek him here, they seek him there, but here's not there, he's blowing up your slag sister!
Took itself too seriously
liked it a lot, I was never sure if it was a comedy or a very serious drama.
rewatched recently as I saw itas a kid, was horrible.
city of lost children sequel.
same as mystery men
its like watching monty python cartoons with pink floyd and acid
disjointed, flowed weird
slow, slow, oh god why so slow? nothing happens
I fucked my friends wife and she made me read the book
this movie is the shit guys
It's called the 'murkin language for a reason.
>extremely, you're post has inraged me.
>you're post has inraged
>you're post inraged
What the fuck, are you me?
Huge fan of the late Satoshi Kon.
>Never sneak up on a man who has been in a chemical fire.
>2010 + 4
>no one posting this
dat balloon popping scene
"Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma" is an old movie (1975) based on the book of "Le Marquis de Sade". It is disgusting, chocking, disturbing and so on. If you came for that, you won't be disappointed.
However, this movie is also way more complicated than a simple "gory" movie. It is an analogy with the Italian fascism and a reflection on the morality.
Totally worth it but best if you read about it afterwards
> Still censored almost worldwide
I Stand Alone
The Man With a Movie Camera
The Virgin Spring
just saw the trilogy yesterday, really great
saw deer hunter in english class
>People have seen it but not enough.
>From the maker of Training Day.
>city of lost children sequel
Delicatessen is 4 years older. Both are great. Too bad Jeunet/Caro seem to have lost their mojo after that.
>Jews invented spark plugs to control global traffic
>House of Flying Daggers
fucking awful, chinese people do not even understand their own history or culture anymore.
silly movie, yet another space thriller
Dark Crystal is actually kinda shitty, but who can hate muppets?>>560597891

I actually liked this. Someone said it was "vanilla sky terrible" but I kinda liked vanilla sky too
The Remains of the Day
The Day of the Jackal
The Way of the Gun
The Brotherhood of the Wolf
Master and Commander
Outland (probably the worst of this list but still watchable)
Enter the Void
The Holy Mountain
Cold in July
Seen it like 10 years ago, think it was pretty good but would have to watch again.
Fuck yea, Pusher. Are there any more Danish movies like the Pusher series/In China They Eat Dogs/Old Men In New Cars? Good ones, i mean?
