my grand father just gave me this gold coin.
would it be immoral to sell it right away?
Well first off, some people are just not interested in coins, or gold rings, or gold chains, expensive watches, etc (I'm not)
Saying that, I would wait until he dies first. There is such a thing as respect.
That looks pretty big and gold is very pricey. Go to www.apmex.com (google it if you like) and check out the prices on gold. you should probably sell it there too. it looks like its probably worth 1300-2000 USD, so if youre not strapped for cash i would save it for a rainy day. its basically a good investment.
Save it for when the central banks collapse and Ron Paul leads us into a golden age of liberty.
>wanting to sell something valuable your ancestor gives you
>being this retarded
selling something your grandparent gave you is like racemixing, you're throwing away your heritage.
I dont think its immoral to sell it, its your coin and it was nice of your grandfather to give it to you, but its yours now. If you would prefer to hold on to it and appreciate what your grandfather has done then do it, if you want the money or want to prevent it getting stolen then selling might be smart.
it would be as immoral for you to sell the gold coin that your grandfather has given to you as it was immoral for him to give it to you
wouldn't you think?
if you sell it and he finds out i bet he never gives you anything else again and worst of all he would lose all respect for you. He could have sold it but chose to give it to you, ya prick

well you make a good point there @ dsaDyGB6
@OP if you sell it give your grandfather some money
that's would be only fair.
>look mum I made a joke on 4chan today
I'll give you twenty dollars for it
Its imbued with the power of some old fuck and its the only thing keeping OPs power of faggotry under control, without it he will go around the world to suck every dick in existence.
>would it be immoral to sell it right away?
Depends on how broke you are. It would be nice to keep it because he gave it to you; but if you need the cash I'd imagine he'll understand.
Gold retains its value better than cash does so if its a choice between taking money out of the bank or selling the coin then you should take the cash out of the bank.
Yeah sure money is one really important thing in life but it is your grandfather`s ask him if he has more, he probably is not feeling so well or feel like dying, don`t sell it buy him life insurance but don`t sell it.
This is a good point.
OP needs to research the coin before he sells it. The rarity of a coin can make it worth a lot more than just standard gold scrap price which OP obviously needs to look up before he tries to sell it to as well as having it weighed by someone trustworthy.
Indeed. There would either be a P or an S somewhere on it. I don't remember exactly what 1904 would have been, I think they were relatively even in that time. Favoring San Fran over Philly. But check the condition and if it had been cleaned. Old people love to clean shit and its the worst thing that can be done to it.
His name is Fiveish and he's a disturbingly stereotypical mascot for a Jewish kids TV show in Jew York City.
And here's the vid of him being attacked in Israel
Apparently the Israeli Jews weren't down with Fiveish.
