We left off researching the Stones we collected.
What experiment do we do?
A. Leave by someonr's head while 5hey sleep for a night
B. Smash them with a hammer
C. Put distance between all of them
D. None, ask elves about it
It's decided that the Elves should help us figure it what the deal is with the stones. A messenger is sent and returns.
They say they know nothing of the stones or the One, but they're willing to trade for the stones.
So it's up to you guys.
A. Keep doing our own experiments on the stones
B. Trade with the Elves. They're offering one discipline from either the Technical College or the Mage's District
Technical college: we picked tactical
Mages District: We picked emotional.
anthromorphic magic allows you to basically shapeshift right? Correct me if im wrong.
We could go explore other tunnels and use the map to find the traps and get more that way right?
I might be completely wrong so someone pls let me know
Also brb I´m going to grab a bite.
>no trade, we need any bit of magic we can get
Trading for magic... and we could go pick up more from other traps.
Also OP how are our mage apprentices going? And are the assassins fully trained yet?
What? No they wont, we will bring it to them like before and they´ll give us the book/manual/whatever. No elves are coming close to our civ...
Also you are the tiebreaker between elemental or anthromorphic...
of course, that´s why I´m saying Anthropomorphic to make them think it´s one of them or something.
It´s up to you >>565642010
LET¨S RAIN ACID ON THE ELVES!
It would be cool, but pretty useless right now as we are underground...
We decide to trade with the Elves.
Congratulations, Dworcs, we will now have Elemental Mages, casters of fire, ice, earth, wind, etc. These disciplines can be used combatively and tactically.
With enough training, see what lies ahead.
The elves also tell you that they will trade you more of the disciplines for large amounts of ore you mine or more of the trap stones.
So what do now?
A. Focus on training
B. Focus on mining
This pretty much.
There's a massive feast and orgy. The population is set to double in 5 months.
You talk to the Nymph. She says, "Armor of fire consumes, when trap dust is infused"
C. Check on Drow
A, We need to learn magic and stuff!
>"Armor of fire consumes, when trap dust is infused"
Fire armour? Maybe forged with trap crystal dust... Or maybe we get set on fire by crystal dust...
Sounds good. We will tackle that next time. I need a break.
Maybe we should continue tonight.
Let me know
I think that a possible enemy of ours has some sort of flame ward that we can dispell by throwing the magic trapstone dust at it?
Not the most active thread, but im sure the next one will be better
a little late, friend
Oh thats probably fine, last one went to about 4am for OPs timezone
Research and training are done.
The emotional magic book yields great results. We establish our first order of Fury Mages. These mages are capable of evoking anger from nothing, can make enemies turn on each other, brother turn against brother, etc.
The technictians have also made a break through, Our Dworcs have devised crossbows, extrapolating from some of the Elvish bow schematics.
Our Dworc Viper Knights are given large, powerful crossbows, while our Gnoblins VP's are given small ones. Gnoblin assassins also now have crossbows.
The elemental magic book is split up between 40 Gnoblins. Each 10 learn a different element (fire, wind, water, earth).
We now have an order of Elemental Mages.
And the Draw have responded to our request about the stones. They say they are willing to trade with us.
A. Trade with them for stones
B. Try to steal them
Let's go with the current one we're trading with. We dont want the other houses to know we exist.
Ask them what they want to trade first
Also can we teach our assassins fury magic? I think it would help them a lot with sneaking
We're stealing the crystals then?
How should we do it?
A. Shift the Earth around them, create small sink holes, and deliver them to ourselves with earth magic
B. Send in Gnoblin assassins to dismantle and steal them
except they use bows
is still a bow
that shoots arrows
come on man, you gotta pay attention
Except the drow are more immediate, Because they are less powerfull and known. They are just the begining.
why not both
It's never been established that they used bows, the one drow bitch just used archery to explain how good their eyesight was. She was probably bullshitting us since a cave-dwelling race would have evolved to a point where eyesight didn't matter much. Also we should just assume the drow are always lying since the normal elves didn't know shit about the old one, which i remember the drow saying origin of the elves or something.
It´s risky, if they realize the crystals are gone they are going to know it was us since we just asked about them... we should get an unsuspecting drow alone and squash him with a rock near one of the crystals and put some crystals on him... They will think he was stealing them for another house and a rock fell on him becouse of the trap, and there were others. They will think they have some betraying drows and cause disruption on their house. It´s a win-win.
Good eye anon
Will be relevant soon
So we have some of our diplomats on the inside draw an unsuspecting Drow out to the traps and crush him with Earth magic.
The Stones are stolen and we have added to the instibility of the Dark Fissure. Hopefully, if our ruse was successful.
Either way, we have some stones.
A. Next to sleeping persons head for a night
B. Put distance between then
C. Crush them
A stone is put next to the head of 2 sleeping Gnoblins who volunteered for the experimentone slept with a metal helmet on, one did not. The one who slept without a helmet wakes up with a growth on his head. He his fingails fall out and he dies. The one with the helmet is fine.
Distance is put between them and nothing happens.
The crystals are continuously broken apart with a hammer. They are brittle. The breaking continues until there is a fine powder. The Gnoblin with the hammer strikes the powder one last time. As it makes contact, there is a small explosion and the Gnoblin is propelled back. He's dead. Upon checking him, you see that his face and arm where burned off. The experiment is done again with Earth Magic as the force. It looks like the more force you throw at it, the bigger the explosion is. Entire magic is also thrown at it but doesn't effect the powder at all, not even heating it up.
It appears the powder has a combustive property. We only have enough to mix it with one thing. What do?
B. Weapons and armor
C. Crossbow bolt tips
the force from the bolt hitting the target should be able to set off a reaction
Acid would probably dicintigrate the powder, while armor and weapons would fit suicide bombers more than viper knights.
Or just blow us into pieces...
I´m pretty sure he is trying to trick us... I would do more experiments first like Forging the dust with the armor/weapon and see what happens if someone has it close for an extended period of time since it killed the last guy...
Also captcha was "protection"
Congratulations, we have ascended to a truly intimidating combative force.
All of our melee weapons and armor have been infused with bits of the powder. This includes snake Serpent Steed armor. Every weapon, depending on concentration of powder, creates a small explosion upon impact. Maces make gigantic explosions and so on. All armor reacts by reflecting force through fire at anything that tries to damage it. They are also impervious to fire.
The first order or Combustion Knights is established. There are two hundred of them.
What do now?
A. Check on Drow city diplomats
B. Explore world further
The riddle said the armor consumes. Lets send a group of five up to the surface to fight some bears or something small like that. Im worried that the armor does shit like burns away the wearer when in use.
So pretty much B, but with a small group of comb knights
As I recall, the one with the helmet was fine. It think it's safe to say that our metal neutralized the negative effects, therefor infusion into our metal would have neutralized all negative effects.
Good thing you guys didn't choose the acid, though. I would have killed the entire civ.
All right guys. We giving to do some exploration?
A. Finally explore the abandoned town to the East
B. Explore the dark mountain to the west
Other. Let's celebrate our newfound success with a big ass hunt and feast/orgy
Also let's feed the armor food. The riddle said it consumes, i just really wanna try for shits and giggles.
A regiment of 30 heavily armed mounted Combustion Knights are sent investigate the Dark Mountain.
On their way, they pass a few Elivish travellers who speak of witnessing things too disturbing for words.
They say we should turn back.
A. Keep Going
B. Get more people and keep going
C. Fuck this crazy shit, too much OP
>>565663935 they don't respond, they're too traumatized.
>>565663882 already in progress
The CK go on, ignoring the pleas of the fucked up Elves.
We come upon the base of the mountain. There is a small settlement. Explore it?
We don't know shit about this mountain. Plenty of shit could be worth saving like precious booty, clues to the pyramid, or a pit of virgins whom have been sacrificed to some sort of demon-god. Then we help sacrifice and get demon-god guy to like us
One brave CK is sent into the town to investigate. His serpent steed slithers into the settlement. The outskirts of the town are deserted. As he moves into the center of the town, he here's stirring and grunting.
A. Approach it
B. Go back to the regiment and report
Our CK moves forward cautiously on his serpent steed. He peeks around a corner.
There is a large pile of over a hundred bodies. Men, women, children, all brutalized in some way, stacked upon one another. In front of it, two hulking creatures one with green skin, one with red, both possessing jagged horns and monstrous faces drag a woman by the hair to the front of the pile. One of the creatures grabs her by the throat, feels her up and licks her neck, then draws an impossibly big sword.
B. Keep watching
Do we try to save her
Alright. Lets get the rest of the squad and charge them from all sides
SLAYING DEMONS ARE THE FIRST STEP TO SLAYING THE DEMON GO. . .
shit wait how big are we talking about here
The Dworc moves as quickly as his Serpent Steed will go.
The demon holding the girl turns around incredibly fast.
Fuck they both see you. The one with the girl grabs her by the waist and rips her head off like paper. He then holda the body over his massive, daggertoothed mouth and let's blood spray into it and all over his head. Then he throws the body at you and roars.
A. Fucking retreat to regiment
B. Fuck them up
The knight charges. The monsters charge.
A. Rely on agility of snake to maneuver around them and use acid thrower on them
B. Rely on armor and melee weapons to plow through them
C. Use acid tipped crossbow
We should use A/C
The armor reacts to the fore hitting it, the ogres might just make enough force to blow up this side of the mountain.
besides, we can always just revert to b if they get close
The CK maneuvers the snake around them and keeps his distance, maning the mounted acid thrower and crossbow. He sprays the blood drenched monster and it screams and screams as parts of its akin and eyes melt. It is left blinded and berserking. The other monster closes in and swings it's massive sword.
A. Try to dodge
B. Fuck it, let's see what happens
The Dworc dodges on his serpent steed and slashes at the monster with his mighty sword. Everything goes silent for a moment. Then the ringing starts in his ears. The Monster is in half.
The blind one is still alive and is making some rapid signs with its hands. What do?
A. Kill that fucker
B. Try to speak to it
The creature is slain immediately. Good choice, you would have been fucked.
The rest of the regiment arrives. You see that there is a dark, wide trail of blood leading to the largest building in the settlement, a huge mansion overseeing it from a hill.
A. Go to mansion
B. Get more people
The group surrounds the mansion at a distance. A small squad of five moves toward the house. They hear the sound if screaming and laughing inside.
A. Fuck this shit, melt that place to the ground
B. Look inside the windows
Through the window, the group sees a banquet hall, filled with dozens of the monsters. On roasters in the middle are several bodies burning alive.
All around the banquet hall women and children are nailed to the wall and raped to death or torn apart. Each monster drinks the blood of its victim and covers himself with it. There is a pile of childrens' hand and feet in a corner.
A. Charge in
B. Melt it
The holes are melted down and CKs charge in from all directions. The Monsters are taken by surprise but put up strong defense. Acid is sprayed, 20 CKs Falk in the battle, each taking two monsters with him as his armor combusted after each death blow.
We are left with a few survivors in the Mansion, including some of the women and children.
You explore the mansion and in the basement find a large circular symbol scrawled into the floor, surrounded by corpses and blood.
We can explore that and see what the survivors say next time. I'm done for today,
Somebody archive the thread.
I'll stick around for a bit if anybody has questions.
20 of them. The armor can only sustain so many blows. After enough, it self distructs. The monsters, which we have found out are most likely some kind of demons, obviously very durable and powerful, so they were able to kill some of our CK, yeah.
