Does anybody likes motorbikes?
I've got myself a yamaha
This is my Kawasaki. You totally cant prove I am lying.
I've got an 899. Here's a stock photo. It's got a bit over 4250 miles since early May.
Is that a versys, OP?
I just started getting into bikes a couple months ago. Getting a 2005 V-Strom 650 as my first next week.

I'd rather spend my money furiously fapping to live whores instead of risking my life on an Asian piece of shite.
Just my 8723820 cents
It's all in the wrist my friend, and all how you are tough, if a squid teaches you how to ride, and you do not know better, you will be in more danger then compared to a professional rider/teacher that knows his shit and can coner.
bow down to the grandfather of the modern day crotch rocket. and he original superbike. this is a 78 honda cb750. i also have a 75
My 2008 ninja 250r
Friend rekt his CB750SC the other day, was going to get on the highway, didn't see gravel fucked up road and was too late, ended up lowsiding and mis-alligning his forms, sold that bike for $1 to my other friend. Twist of the story, that day when he got rekted, he bought a F4i.
Well, if you are riding, its basic physics that you don't actually see, but trust me, you are doing it. in simple terms, push left if you want to go left, push right if you want to go right, this only works when there is speed/momentum, don't do this when you are doing under 15 mph, as you will put the bike down 100%
Ninja 250R 2004 may get something bigger next season.

that said, heres my bike
If you're stateside take the MSF. It can save your life.
Join local riding forums and go out with experienced riders with a teaching mindset. And avoid city limits, that's how you get ran over.
Also wouldn't hurt to check out Keith c"Codes "twist of the wrist 2". Actings horrible nursing good lessons. Oh and trackdays are like crack, addicting and expensive but Itll make you feel great. You'll learn more in a day at the track then a year on the street.
TL;DR just don't suck faggot.
I think a 83, don't remember all that clearly, its in storage atm waiting to be fixed.
watch totw2/take msf
Saving up for the Zero what are your opinions on E Bikes?
respect the bike but do not be afraid of the bike.
being afraid= bad/botched decisions= fucking up.
find someone you trust to help you in person. i ride on the street so as far as actual advice on the dirt track.. I have none
How big is the engine if its 250 or smaller, just go on your neighbor hood road and just figure out shifting first, never going past 5mph then just take it slow enough that you can stop it your self never lock your breaks.
/o/'s opinion as is mine is that they're not worth the cost.
Turbo busa, stretched preferably.
Sup man, /o/ been slow today eh? I have a feeling a lot of people are filtering me, lol.
They have a long ways to go yet.
Range and long term sustainability (battery lifetime) aren't really there. ill be an owner when they can get 300 miles on a ride and can gaurantee me a battery for 7 years and replace/repair parts long after that... Til then.
as a former owner of a 250, please leave
I have always liked the looks of the xs650 I would love to have the chance to take one out. they seem to be a good platform for just about anything just as the cbs are. i have seen some interesting xs650 builds.
/o/ is hella slow all day.
/dbt/ is even worse. plus with supereuromeet coming up, its flooded with worthless shit anyway
I recommend not getting your bike stolen. College campus are easy picking for faggot bike thieves.
>>pic related, my gsxr600 that was stolen years ago. FUCK NIGGERS
My 08 R6
i didnt use to like the look of the newer generation GSXRs, but thats really pretty
They steal bikes in broad daylight in the middle of a populated parking lot? Your college security is horrible, man. Unless you're talking dorms, of which it doesn't apply to me.
Fuck, I take it your not going since you in MURICAH! Goddam I wish I had roads like you post near me, I would rip them all day..
Mine is 08, orange is 06, older one is 83
The fuck? My college has patrolling campus police, and city police, no one dares to touch anyone elses bike, yet alone steal them.
I think the best thing to learn, is biting point of a clutch.
Beautiful, whats with the snapback?
and please, get rid of those grey pegs, shit looks gross.
>Thinks he can go faster
I am a motorcycle Mechanic in one of the largest shops in San Diego, CA i work on Kawasaki, yamaha, honda, suzuki, BRP.
any quuestions ? ask away
Went to school at MMI phoenix.
certified suzuki mechanic
serious question anyone here who have had experiences with shaft driven bikes? I have never rode one nor do i know someone who has. i`m just curious as to someones personal experience.
if you didnt live across the country id definitely invite you.
these roads arent even the best in the state, but theyre pretty good.
the only ones i have pictures of are the dry ones. the ones in the woods are even curvier.
>featured in pic, tiger800xc anon's RF1100
Thanks. A lot of stuff done to that one of all the bikes I've had in the past I miss that one the most. I do LOVE my superduke though.
It takes mibutes to steal a bike and bystanders just gawk and don't do shit. Kryptonite rotor lock with an alarm didn't stop em. Search Youtube for bike thefts. Shits crazy.
Street fighters coming to the party fashionably late
If serious, I actually do have a question, when I brake really hard, my bike sometimes does this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCRcy-YMU9M It basically vibrates the shock/suspension, I googled around and people said it can be worn brake pads, warped rotors, rekt forks. Also when the bike been parked for 2-3 days, and I take it out, I walk it out of my parkway, and there is this kind of noise.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxMWSYUB6P0
What state man? Cali?
Is it making that sound when pull the clutch in and braking? Because that sounds like dog teeth trying to engage.
The second sound where the brake pads are rubbing up against the disc, usually happens with new pads, its supposed to go away after awhile.
That wheel, how does that work?
That bike looks like a HESS commercial, lol..
Dang, isn't he going away soon? military service IIRC.
You can paint it black, or take it off, I seen that shit without pegs, and it looked 100x better!
The chatter only happens when I brake really hard, like if I am doing 50 and want to come to a stop the fastest time possible, but after that it somewhat goes away, maybe it's like ceramic brakes? where they need some "heat up" time before they work properly? and the noise from the rotor has been like that for 3k miles/since I bought it, doubt the brakes stay brand new all those thousand of miles.
My boys stolen R6, the thief actually put more money into the bike, got cough, so friend got the bike back with upgrades.
R1 master race reporting.
>inb4 600 sheilas crying
No idea man, might not but it realistically just needs the mount and brake caliper
That's actually a 'busa
This is the sexiest of them all, Ducati 796
Fucking some whores is as well.
My old 12 r1, highsided it in April.
What in Davy Jones' locker did ye just bark at me, ye scurvy bilgerat? I'll have ye know I be the meanest cutthroat on the seven seas, and I've led numerous raids on fishing villages, and raped over 300 wenches. I be trained in hit-and-run pillaging and be the deadliest with a pistol of all the captains on the high seas. Ye be nothing to me but another source o' swag. I'll have yer guts for garters and keel haul ye like never been done before, hear me true. You think ye can hide behind your newfangled computing device? Think twice on that, scallywag. As we parley I be contacting my secret network o' pirates across the sea and yer port is being tracked right now so ye better prepare for the typhoon, weevil. The kind o' monsoon that'll wipe ye off the map. You're sharkbait, fool. I can sail anywhere, in any waters, and can kill ye in o'er seven hundred ways, and that be just with me hook and fist. Not only do I be top o' the line with a cutlass, but I have an entire pirate fleet at my beck and call and I'll damned sure use it all to wipe yer arse off o' the world, ye dog. If only ye had had the foresight to know what devilish wrath your jibe was about to incur, ye might have belayed the comment. But ye couldn't, ye didn't, and now ye'll pay the ultimate toll, you buffoon. I'll shit fury all over ye and ye'll drown in the depths o' it. You're fish food now
02 man It's a project. I have it mechanically perfect just doing the aesthetics now.
Exact plain finish as mine. I hate it.
Shit looks dope tho.
Yea, that is what I thought, but I went on and looked at them, it had residue from brakes I suppose, I went and cleaned it with brake cleaner and scrubbed them, it sorta helped, but until I hear the chadder, I won't know for certain.
I hope so, friend also asked me about the sound so it got me worried.
looks like a 02-03
That fucking S1000RR, my dream bike.
street faggots are boring and have no guts
>me in august
Rossi is better than anyone will ever be when he was in his prime. And try hard Marquez showed his ass yet again and went down into a corner when he had a 4 sec lead.
Lorenzo and Rossi held eachother up. Lorenzo should jave let Rossi do his job and get past Marquez. 11 sec lead over #2 rider says a lot. Better than 4 seconds Marquez had on Rossi and Lorenzo when again, each held the other back and gave Marquez that big a gap.
>rides on dirt with no other distractions or dangers like, oh i dunno, fucking cars
>LOL NO GUTS
So what? You ride around suburban shopping malls revving your bullshit in front of soccer moms and fat men. Pathetic. I just got back from fucking Mongolia filming with Red Bull.
of the bikes I've had I liked this one the least from the factory; it took a lot of money and mods to get it right for me.
The suspension was crap so a setup, shims and a different set of tires fixed that, then the ergo's were harsh so I changed the controls and rear sets to get my weight off wrists, I almost sold it then. But gave it more money: The factory tune sucked it was a very uneven throttle an Sbu flash, BMC filter and graves 3/4 TI link saved that bike from being sold a second time. I rode it for a few thousand miles and finally felt like it was "right" the day I highsided at about 60 mph.
>danger is falling and hitting ground or object
>danger is the same plus other heavier objects while moving at higher spends and relying on the operators of those other objects not making mistakes
My bike doesn't work well under da sea. Why so much hate? I'm not defending this place, genuine curiosity.
So you ride two hundred miles an hour in suburban lame town? Thats breaking the law and speeding. At least there is no limit off road. Keep trying though, its making me believe you might have a vagina.
I do 200kmh in 80kmh zones speeding between cars and im not even sorry
yfw you get done wit all dem dicks
I expect a better answer from a man of the road.
>I do 200kmh in 80kmh zones speeding between cars and im not even sorry
You sound so fucking lame. You street fuck are like women, you like to show off but you are as dumb as a box of boxes.
>being this jelly
3/10 i replied to the first one
I never mentioned speeding or hard riding. When I first started riding on a Ninja 500r, in an open two lane avenue I had a guy put out right in front of me. No traffic behind me, none in front of me, cruising at the speed limit, and this guy just pulled out into my lane. Forced me over to the next lane and further enforced defensive driving.
its not like a car man
ive found ive been in much less risky situations through copius amounts of speeding and lane splitting
the less time im around a car, the less time it has to hit me
nice yamaha would love to have one.
>not being aggressively defensive
Speed and going past or avoiding others is great but there is that one twat who won't see you and won't be predictable.
So I should limit my enjoyment of my bike to track days because of other incompetent drivers? Nah.
My '97 GPX250 naked
It's a bit fucked up but it goes alright
You have balls. Not because of the risk of injury but for the pigs/police.
That's your problem and crotch.
Track gives you freedom. There is no freedom on the street nor the back roads really. You learn the most off public roads. Unless you're a moronic fuck and push yourself on the open road. Even hopefully if you do you'll admit it's stupid.
08 r6, just put her away for the winter - In canada.
hate to say it but seriously canada is so much better at least as far as traffic cops
went to toronto to look at a bike last year and didnt see a single cop the whole day
plus the citizens have a blatant disregard for the speed limit lol
Got one of these
Have you toured on it? I had one, it was good in the dirt but way too heavy to be practical. I bought it because I was planning a big trip but it wasn't up to it. I used a 650 in the end.
i started with a hondacb650 til my brother crashed, and broke his back kek
Same bike as me, only in red. Shit is the BEST for a LAMS rider. Nothing better.
You're a fucking idiot. Educate yourself.
Has about the same power and a little less top end but is alot lighter and just a overall better package. If you rode them back to back you would understand the 500 is just a shitty cheap felling bike and the 300 feels solid as a honda should
I have and don't disagree with your statement. I've taken it on 1 and 2 track trails and it's a handful. Definitely no dirt bike but It's rather dirt capable. You have to ride it with more caution and look ahead as it's a beast if the trail goes against you.
Really shines as an adventure tourer because you can carry so much gear, go all day on a tank and do so in comfort. I have taken mine 1200km in a day which was 2 tanks without much discomfort. I added cruise, pegs, protection and of course seats to make it that way.
We'll see how the new breed of all electronic everything bikes go. I went for the last oil/air cooled because of that.
The single is fine in a sub 600cc bike it isn't even lacking that much top end in comparison to the cbr500
I had the non-adventure version. I did some work on it, made it a little quicker but it just wasn't reliable. I swapped for the F800gs which was a sack of shit but better in the dirt. That got stolen so went for a 650 single and just fell in love with it.
dangerous ride be careful people dead that died in bikes 2 in cars 1 and my friend thay died in he car crash was totally drunk but my other 2 friends that died in bikes they were fine
I hate KLRs. They're so under-powered and heavy. I am looking forward to cheap all-electrics though. I'm planning (loosely) a RTW trip, would love to be able to do it on an electric bike. The technology is almost there.
>but my other 2 friends that died in bikes they were fine
>would love to be able to do it on an electric bike. The technology is almost there.
I had the 800 before I went to the 1200. Way prefer the 12 both on and off road actually.
Thought about the 650 Sertas but I'm mostly pavement with maybe 5 to 10% dirt, gravel or fire trail/logging roads.
Once you get out of reach of a bed for the night, the 12 is where it's at. I completed 6000km in a week, camping and onroad/offroad (mostly onroad). You can haul yourself plus another 400lbs of gear. Head down to South America and you'll see more of them as the roads are shittier.
Next upgrade is going to be the Africa clutch though. I tend to burn my clutch when I noob it on a 1/2 track hill.
Where will you charge it? I like the diesel for it's versatility. Don't think an electric will ever be good for an adventure touring bike. Goldwing or Harley perhaps, but HD owners are probably boiling at the thought!
no electric bike has proven itself "reliable" because they all have piss poor range
besides the fact squirrel squeezers think 100s of thousands of charging stations will just magically appear because they want them too lol
hey /b/ i need help on a starter bike i am really lightweight but tall. what should i get so that i don't have to worry about tipping over damage?
Just picked up this about a week ago for my first bike. It's a fantastic bike as a LAMS bike. Yes this is a someone else's photo but mine is identical. KTM 390 Duke, great bike.
my triumph thruxton 900.
love the girl.
I will get an SV 650 soon realy love the bike .
if I wanted a performance bike, I'd get one by tomorrow.
except I'm not a faggot that likes to speed in an out of traffic like an idiot.
only niggers do that shit.
BRAHS, do you even ride your motorcycles...
all these pictures of these nice clean bikes.. psshu pic related. what a daily rider looks like..
>implying that I didn't walk away from this unharmed.
>implying I'm a squid
pick one faggot.
sorry you don't got spics and niggers who don't know how to drive around you. Literally that happened because some asshole slammed on his brakes, and I over applied my front brakes and the tire slipped out from under the bike. slid the bike like 10 feet before coming to the back of his car. plus the shitty oily fucking roads around here because every fucking civic got a god damn oil leak. and all the spics around here drive civics.
and we have a fuck load of spics.
but in some dickheads worlds. just because you're on a motorcycle, its always your fault.
MUH CAGE. MUH SAFETY.
>pic related my bike money
What do you mean you don't see upside down?
You sir, have good taste. Pic related, she's an 2009
Thanks, she gets the job done. Going to ride the twisted sisters in the Hill Country in November, should be a nice scenic ride. Is that a S1000 RR?
(obligatory WAT sticker)
I get 50mpg in the city going 55mph or less
I get 40mpg on the highway going 75mph
(I ride a Ninja 250 so in sixth gear to hit 75mpg it has to rev kind of high, around 8k rpms, she redlines at 13k)
