i don't think you know what travesty means
What the fuck is it with everyone wanting so many god damned windows in their house?
>Hope you don't have any kids around.
Also some of the houses here are so damn roomy. Having room is great but a house should be cozy and warming. Something that really feels like home, not a fucking hotel suite.
TV on the floor...am I the only one who thinks this is weird?
saved it for the ceiling
Actually it has everything to do with LCD. Liquid crystals are used as the polarizers one screen horizontal polarization one screen vertical polarization. Leads to be able to get full clear, tint, full dark.
I'd kill for a house with that many windows. It looks good to me. Plus you can tell they are all built in fair seclusion so the privacy comes from location, not walls. I would love being able to see outside everywhere all the time.
Also those houses are not built in fucking Alaska you king sized faggot. They are built in regions where temperature does not get extremely low and insulation isn't a deciding factor. ALSO double pane windows can be pretty good at insulating anyways. Maybe they use triple? Never heard of it but it may serve as another buffer.

that room is built for fuckin.
this makes me feel so shit.
I knew someone with a room like this. she was a dyke, hated her father, always trying to get me and gf for a threesome.
i save them all in the same folder because they are ideas for architecture/home decor, nigger
Frank Lloyd Wright house on a private island on Lake Mahopac NY
mother of god
There needs to be a dedicated board for this type of shit, MODS
>not understanding the beauty of minimal architecture
i think it was vietnam or some other shit like that
My house. Should be ready soon.
Pic is 2 months ago, don't have one fresh.
>this exists somewhere and you'll never live in it
I prefer small spaces...
Orient your house in an energy efficient manner.
If I wasn't such a paranoid tinfoil I'd post my fathers 7million estate.
Money doesn't buy happiness, love or true friendship, nor does this estate. There are literally rooms that I have never been in for the past 10 years and my father for the last 2 years of his miserable piece of shit existence.
People are fake.
Not exactally God tier, but my place. I have since added another 1200 ft sq
It's a Loft, I've seen a few of them arranged like that, it's not abnormal but yes it might be a hip way of life these days. Although, sometimes simplicity is the most comfortable and amusing way of living. Heck, throwing an after-party in these is fun as hell and you throw a few things around and you have a cool place.
god I hate when people put things on top of a piano. It's a musical instrument not a piece of furniture. It just screams that no one actually ever plays it or takes care of it. In a room with high ceilings like that it should have the top open at least on the short stick.
Anyone got anything not so modern, I'm into the rustic style. Some of you have some decent brick walls and shit, but I mean you ruin it all with the modern furniture (well for me). I guess I'll get a boner for hand-made furniture, art, books, history filled houses and of course brick walls are always a big plus.
i own a piano and i've played the piano for 27 years.
you shouldn't leave it open, you faggot, so stop acting like you know better.
Meh, depends on how much you let yourself get included in society. Get a place, get Internet, get a cellphone, get a car, get cool clothes, go to movies, etc... I mean, money fixes the problems you think you have, that's the problem people have.
reminds me of Citroen GT interior
I'm not saying leave it open all the time. I'm saying that having things on top of it like that shows that it never gets opened to fill the space. And treating it like a piece of furniture by putting tacky vases on it is distasteful.
Are you saying that happiness depends on how much you include yourself in society? I do not think it is that simple.
Money lets you live your life how you want it, it gives you freedom, to not work, to live where you want and consume what you want, it is definately a help in making you happy.
and even if you only use it for practicing and thus wouldn't open the lid, you still shouldn't have things on top of it because it's distracting and instruments shouldn't be treated like that. I got this straight from a piano pedagogy book that I read for class when I was fucking getting my music degree. So yes, I do know better.
I never said that.
I said you got 99 problems and 90 of them are probably fixed with money. Sure money will be the biggest key of success for your life. I even love the idea of money myself.
Make efforts > Get money
Thing is we got blinded by publicity and now we think we need so many things that we actually never did. Life seems hopeless without all these things. And nowadays I do think money is a problem and in the end, the happiness is just an illusion.
So you agree that money fixes a lot of problems, but apparently you also believe money is a problem in itself, you didn't explain why though.
Happiness is definately not an illusion, it can be meassured.
Meh, I lived in the forest for about 3-4 years working for a vineyard and not giving a fuck. Was the shit, eventually I got tired of Winters since I lived in Canada. But having no superficiality and the only thing people wanted from you was a decent conversation and some fun company.
Now I'm back in the city, and just trying to figure out how to get back in the same vibe. I can't stop feeling like a tool right now.
I think anon gets it. Makes efforts > Get money.
I never set out to have a lot of money. I did set out to be successful and do something that makes a difference.
Be good at something and make effort > Money rolls in
Well I agreed that money was a solution to the problems, but the follow-up made problems into "problems".
Your problems are usually things you put yourself into because you thought you were supposed to. The real problem is : why do you think you were supposed to have a nice car, why the need to get ripped, why the need to have a chick on prom.
Some things are just ridiculous and we still just dive in, isn't better to just think about it for just a second instead of being manipulated.
All of these houses are either located in a tall building or have their own parcel of land of a few acres.
double or even triple layered windows are good insulators
Why does it matter to have kids around for these windows?
First of all I have money, I made them myself and am now living off my investments which I love. Sounds like you are saying that just because money doesn't make your life a fairytale on its own it isn't all that people make it. But you see the world too much in black and white, like I have already said you can't count on money to fix everything, but it certainly helps.
Even though I find these homes impressive I don't think I would buy a home like this even if I was a billionaire. Can't imagine I would like it in them. I would love a really big, more normal home.
they're usually too big.
I would want something like >>577514824
except squeezed into a space of about 100 square metres.
Also I like microhomes and I hate long staircases.
Staircases suck. Everything should ideally be on one floor.
Some of these houses are beautiful. But the interior decorating on most of them look like Frontgate drank too much Williams Sonoma and threw it all up inside.
Constant proof that a good number of rich people have no fucking taste.
