What movie do you recommend I watch?
Also what is your favorite movie?
Personal Fav: Oldboy
I just watched this and holy fucking shit watch this
The 1982 version of The Thing is my favorite horror movie of all time.
Predators was extremely underrated, I thought. Not as good as the original, but definitely better than the second and the AVP movies
I would watch The Skin I Live In. Don't look up anything about it before though. Just dive in.
However, Come and See is, in my opinion, the greatest war movie of all time. So if you want that kind of movie, go for it. Definitely not the traditional war film though.
And The Hunt is a really good drama piece about rumors and gossip. Mads knocks it out of the house.
I just finished TSILI though and so that is why I would watch it. All are fantastic.
I don't have Netflix though so I don't know if they are on it. I torrented mine.
I would recommend fire in the sky
I would start with Predator or Alien.
Predator is more of a Sci-Fi action film, whereas Alien leans more towards horror.
After you finish those two, go for Predators. You won't be disappointed by any.
My favorite is There Will Be Blood.
If you are into Korean movies, two I love, aside from Oldboy, are I Saw The Devil and Memories of Murder.
Them Koreans sho do make good movies
Great B movie.
My movie favorite
Is it same for u in america? my favorite movie too! i like part when eats dumpling to find out where he is maintained. He very dangerous and come back very mean!!!!!!
I like when he cuts tongue because realise mean!!!
Very movie nice!!!
Although my personal favorite is End of Evangelion, you need to have watched the show before you've seen the movie.
A very close second is pic related.
i took care of my grandmother for a few year. she was about 25 when it came out.
people panicked when it was shown. thats why they had to add on the warning on the beginning because it was causing mass panic and riots.
they can keep the cold war. ill take the towelheads.
anybody know the name of a documentary which follows four different people, in Africa, Mexico, some Middle East shithole and I think the other one is Brazil? I have been trying to find it for a couple months now.
I was just about to say that.
Pic related is as good as westerns get.
I thought this was just going to be a screwball comedy and not expecting it to get so dark.
This movie fucking rules.
Also, when was the last time anybody watched Jaws? I haven't seen in so long.
Depends what you like. I like movies that span a long period of time, I like to see the characters evolve and change. If you're into that, I really like Interview with the Vampire and Edge of Tomorrow. Also True Detective, it's an HBO show but it FEELS like an 8 hour great movie.
My favorite movie hands down
This was my "V for Vendetta"
What kind of movie is it? I dont really want to read a synopsis and spoil it for myself.
Saw it...good movie....nothing amazing though
alright ill take your word
Seen it...and Its fine i dont really have a problem with finding a stream elsewhere or torrenting it.
Damn this movie looks badass..ill look into it
Saw Gone Girl last week. If you can handle a little bit of suspension of disbelief, you will love it. The music is on point, the actors are great, and Fincher makes those movies he makes.
U stupid sucks dick fucking cunt
Why don't you kill yourself already
no one likes you, you are stupid and undesirable.
Nothing will ever come out of you, you are a worthless weight in society. Nothing ever will ever forgive how much of a shit you are.
Fuck you and kill yourself as fast as you can you fucking nigger peace of shit fucktard.
Interview is amazing. I've watched it hundreds of times. I kinda wish they would make another of Anne Rice's books into a movie, but that awful Queen of the Damned movie makes me wonder if that's such a great idea.
Yup, that movie really fucked everything up. Also, I'm not so sure about her books either. I mean, she DID write a book where Lestat awakens and becomes a lead singer of a rock band. I feel like her first book, Interview with the Vampire, was a sort of fluke. A great one, though.
It is DEFINITELY not a chick flick. Pretty much the opposite, actually. Directed by David Fincher, who also did Se7en and Fight Club
What the fuck did you say nigger
you come here and bash on shits like a fucking jew niggerturd faggot
why don't you fucking remove yourself from planet earth you fucking worthless puny excuse for a punk ass gayfag?
You are fucking worthless to this world, please proceed into removing yourself from human history.
Holy shit dude i had the unfortunate state of being tripping balls when the climax hit and everything was getting choppy. Thought my real-life fps had dropped...
The Vampire Lestat and Memnoch the Devil were both very good IMO. Queen of the Damned could have been awesome. It just had terrible actors. Using Jonathan Davis for the singing vocals was also just terrible.
yeah man the soundtrack is amazing too.
Seen it.Liked it.is true detective a running show? or is it done?
Both amazing movies.. Damn i really missed out.
Yeah comedies would be good recommendations too but the ones so far all seem to be good
I have that movie on DVD...never seen it...thanks for reminding me i had it hahhah
What kind of movie?? documentary im guessing..
This movie is trash. How can anyone honestly like this movie? Just because it's a Daniel D Lewis movie and won a bunch of awards everyone jumps on the bandwagon and says it's good? It's not.
Same thing with 2001 Space Odyssey. Get an original thought for once.
It's supposed to make you feel uncomfortable....
Well, maybe some day they will pick up where they left off. Honestly, I wouldn't mind a remake as long as it came like 30 years from now, that way they could do the entire series. People shit on remakes but that's only because they are done poorly, a well done remake can be a very good thing if the right amount of time has passed.
>thinks that just because he doesn't like a popular thing means everyone else is just following a trend
Also, pic related is really good for guys who are like 18-25 right now
Still great though, just not really a linear story
True Detective is technically a show that's still going, but apparently each season is a different story and Season 1 is finished. 8 episodes, about an hour long each. Matthew Mcconaughey and Woody Harrelson are in it, I really enjoyed it.
Because some people enjoy the acting style and the time period. Just because they don't enjoy the movie for the same reason doesn't make either of you wrong you fucking faggot.
Also, if anyone is looking for a unique horror movie, blended well with acting and drama, watch this
>If it's in a word
While the closet gay was already overused when it came out, everything else gets stronger every time you watch it.
Lupus' movie review: watched all of these in the last 3 days
Jobs: as shit as steve jobs
Pirates of silicon valley: as shit as bill gates
social network: eh wolnt watch it again
sneakers: ok film dan akroid kills the fun
a serious man: it was ok, i didnt get it
hudsucker proxy: weird, no central audience
burn after reading: eh
terms and conditions: interesting, good time waster
antitrust: pretty ok
Dr. strange love: great, fucking classic. have to get a feel for the film though.
I was going to suggest wristcutters as well.
Its about a kid who commits suicide only to find himself in a purgatory type state of being. Story ensues.
Also Eternal sunshine. Since those two are taken. I enjoyed Belly. Different kind of movie although the ratings were terrible.
Maybe go with chumscrubbers?
What did you guys think about The Prestige?
Whats it about??
Oh damn must give it shot then...any other shows?
This movie looks really interesting...
What a crazy title for a movie..hahah
this one of them movie 'bout queers??!?
Oh wow i think wristcutters takes the cake for me...sounds like a great movie...is chumscrubbers a similar movie?
Confirmed, saw this and it was really good. Kept a copy of it even because I liked it so much.
The Signal was a good mind fuck movie if you're into that sorta thing.
Edge of Tomorrow was actually pretty good too, even with Tom Cruise. I'm not a big fan of his, but the movie was still pretty good.
Other good movies I've heard that other anons can comment on:
Under The Skin
A priest is told during a confession that the man giving the confession will kill him in a week.
A troubled mother and her troubling son find even more to worry about when they become haunted by a presence stemming from a storybook.
"The plot focuses on the chain of events that follow the suicide of a teenage drug dealer in an idealistic but superficial town."
synopsis. It follows the guy who commits suicides friend. I like it because of the chick (I was a young teenager when i first watched it) but it has some good themes it touches on.
I wish I liked this movie, I really do but it just didn't grab me. It was refreshing from all the bullshit we get in the US but still it just didn't grab me. Everyone shits on Jeepers Creepers but that knew how to build suspense, especially the first act of that film.
Any other shows I recommend with be out of guilty pleasures instead of being truly great. But just to humor you, my favorite shows are:
Game of Thrones
that's kind of it :/
True Detective is the most "well made" out of all of those in regards to filming, pacing, and acting. But it didn't resonate with me as much as the other three I mentioned, that I'm sure you've already heard about, but I still loved it.
Thanks for all the recommendations guys.
Ill keep it in mind thanks
This is my favorite comedy of all time. It's hilarious as a straight movie, but the plethora of inside jokes about old school rock and roll, of you know what you're seeing you laugh constantly.
Christopher Walken's most evil role. Easily one of his best roles.
You only get smarter by playing a smarter opponent.
Thanks anons. I haven't seen those movies yet and I'm happy there's some opinions. I actually got those recommendations on another thread here a couple weeks ago. Haha.
Did you hear the news about the original guy that movie is based on? He says after all these years he's changed his theory on what his experience was all about. Initially (as in the movie) he thought they nabbed him for some good ol' experimentin'. Now he thinks that maybe he just got too close to the craft and was hit by an electric arc or energy produced by the propulsion system, and that they only took him aboard to save him.
Nevertheless that abduction scene fucked with my head immensely when I was younger.
If you can find it, I highly recommend this to folks
Get fucked. That, and this, are perfect in every way.
