So I heard I needed Tor Browser to get onto the darkweb. Got that. Now what? I want to browse these "hidden websites"
Not trying to do/find anything. Just curious and want to see what's out there.
Use noscript (top left) and turn scripts off globally
This is important and is not set as default
You can find onion links literally anywhere. What are you looking for?
Forget about that
Hidden wiki will link you to anything you could want.
Pretty boring unless you want illegal services. All the forums are too slow to be interesting.
Network engineering fag here.
Tor is useless as fuck. if you know something about coding and look at the .ddl files in the browser file, you can see that it's coded by fucking noobies.
you're IP is NOT hidden btw while using tor, don't remember you're still fucking using the internet.
there are however some other (relatively big) remote networks like the internet with some various interesting things but you won't find illuminati shit or something.
i entered that network while doing a gig at an embassy and basicly it's what the russians have set up to communicate with their spies. they still use it this day.
Every anon on /b/ always advise newfags to stay away from Tor instead of advising how to keep their anonymity somewhat intact. Even though it'll never be 100%. You guys could warn them about Java scripts and to never download pdf's pics whatever and always becareful where they lurk. Tor is no different from the surface web it just gives you added protection. All the news services are lame. There are plenty of articles from sources newfags that can teach you about Tor.
Faggot would you answer why I can't use tor browser while lurking other sites with chrome? Or you just made it up?
.dll files sorry
As a senior network engineer who has done some 'advanced' IT-work, the only way to stay anonymous is to connect wireless to an open wifi hotspot.
I worked for 3 years at the e-crime unit and in 99% of the cases, the idiots would use shitty VPN's/tor/etc in order to stay anonymous.
The 1% that we never caught on some cases were smart:
>Using (stolen) laptop
>at an open wifi: mostly mcdonalds
>even would come to that restaurant wearing a hoodie
that 1% has never been caught.
If you're planning wanting to be anonymous behind your home pc using vpn's/proxies/blablabla, forget it.
anon actually knows what he's talking about
you can reuse that laptop, you don't need a new one every single bloody time, but whatever.
anonymity is hard, and it's only gotten harder.
Alright I'll bite. What exactly did you catch them doing? Looking? downloading? communicating? Examples because the only ones that do get "caught" were doing illegal shit to begin with. Uploading questionable material, selling ammo and drugs.
>you can reuse that laptop
formatting your laptop will not delete all traces (every laptop has a hardcoded MAC-adress that won't change even after format). if you really would want to stay anon, you use it ONCE.
try these, havent checked in a while tho wont promise anything
>inb4 im banned, bye

If you really have this little idea what you are doing:
1. You should not be getting on the Dark Web.
2. Enjoy your ride in the party van when you click the wrong thing and everything is not configured properly.
3. If you insist on doing this, VERIFY YOUR END-NODE is safe(Cannot emphasize this enough)! Turn off scripts globally, do not enable any add-ons whatsoever. Connect to the internet using a proxy. And for the love of god don't be the retard who accesses their email, facebook, or any accounts associated with yourself while connected via Tor.
Okay, so let's assume that I fucked up and they managed to get my MAC address after I spoofed it. Actually, how they hell would they get my hardcoded MAC address in the first place?
All they have is a shitty cctv (if that) of people who are not me.
Anyways, I know how to properly reformat things, so assume that nothing can be gleamed from the hard drive.
>add-ons whatsoever. Connect to the internet using a proxy. And for the love of god don't be the retard who accesses their email, facebook, or any accounts associated with yourself while connected via Tor.
yes but I love my addons and i can't help going on facebook
MAC adresses are easily spoofable
You can delete all traces, you just need time, a good thing is to disable cache on TBB.
These 2 guys have no idea
99% of the persons who got caught did various things:
from top to bottom the percentage of the biggest catches
2)Hacking social media and sharing personal information
3)performing attacks to government IT-infrastructures
4)owning/hosting black markets selling illegal stuff
5)scamming in general
the 1% that aren't caught are the ones doing terrostist activity: sending/uploading/communicating critical information concerning the national security.
the internet is monitored by every western country. they mostly work like the NSA-system, since they have made the most exclusive software in order to track all the shit.
if you type in CP or any other 'interesting' keyword that might relate to them, all of your shit will be stored in a DB for an X amount of time. the more frequently you're put into that DB, the higher the chance they will catch you.
>if you type in CP or any other 'interesting' keyword that might relate to them, all of your shit will be stored in a DB for an X amount of time. the more frequently you're put into that DB, the higher the chance they will catch you.
This. If you go on TOR say once, for som retarded reason type in CP and then never use tor ever again you'll probably never get arrested. SImply not worth the manpower. However, if you continue to do this sort of shit then I'd pre-call a good lawyer.
who the fuck even has flash installed in their machine that connects to the deepweb
If it's been spoofed... I don't really care what MAC address they take from my machine.
I see that you guys are pretty interested into being anonymous but you guys have no clue about the real stuff in the IT-world. You guys have alot more to learn.
- Spoof your mac however you wanna spoof it (prolly by using a shitty script written by a neckbeard faggot)
- use a vm
- use tails
okay, now send an tcp/http packet and catch it with wireshark, check the mac-adress and come back here and ask me how to REALLY change your mac-adr.
if you want to be that 1% who doesn't get caught, you need to do alot of studying (mostly in networking) and you also need to be very sneaky.
i'm off now
Those fuckers give Tor a bad name. But just like surfing the surface web you have to use your best judgment. That list that you just post were from scum that was purposely up to no good. Fact is you will never be 100% anonymous just don't do shit to warrant suspicions.
Very true. Why go after some frustrated virgin with too much time on his hands and waste God knows how much time when they could be focusing on the people uploading who are also likely to be producing.
they busted freedom hosting by uploading a malicious file (a flash script, basically)
when they found the server, they put a cover page on all freedom hosting sites (opva, HC, etc.) that when clicked ran flash, thus exposing the users IP to LEA
even before all this, you do know the gov't operated most of the exit nodes, right?
if you don't know how these protocols operate maybe you should just download TAILS
one more thing before I go:
the reason why (in my time) they would also catch people who only WATCH CP, is because in 100% of the times (if they had kids), would also abuse their own children in a sexual way.
just do not watch CP, and if you want to watch it, make sure you're anonymous (and not by the methods that i described earlier that do not work at all).
That's what generally happen on raid. Albeit silk road or otherwise. To much manpower would be invested in going after ever joe shmoe that just cruises from time to time. The real money is in the distributors, up-loaders and facilitators. Again just use tor surf and be careful about the hidden services. Guilt by association is still in play.
And just a heads up to anyone ever considering doing anything with cp, not only is the government after you, but you now have a permanent bounty on your head.
You are literally open season in eastern Europe.
It's okay to joke about it on the random threads you might see, but if you are posting the cp, realize that people will hunt you down. You might get lucky and not get caught. But if you piss off the wrong person, gg no re.
Trust me (or don't I don't really give a fuck) but I worked in my local police force for 6 years and as part of my role I had to make sure the whole department was working fluidly and cooperatively, so lots of visits down to cyber crime. When faced with who to go after in realtion to CP, the general idea was based off of two things:
>Uploader or watcher?
>Did they have kids/in a position with access to kids (teacher, paediatrician etc)?
If they're an uploader then it's a definite yes. If they're a watcher then it was generally based off of the answer to no.2. If the guy was just a normie with no kids or the like then we would usually just move on to the next guy instead.
a couple of years ago someone was buying NN sets off a popular south american "modeling agency" on an open internet forum
the picture set were taken down, and the person who was giving out the free sets was BTFO on social media, and dimed to authorities for having CP
I've also heard of certain dark nets that collect info and if you ever cross them it gets released
these guys value their privacy
some dude posts CP on /b/ and was banned within 30 seconds. Let's say someone were to be in that thread but not save the picture, just in the thread. What would happen if that person did save the picture to, say, a flash drive. What would happen?
I was just one of the people that got in within 30 seconds. I did not save it, but I was just looking at it.
At any point up to a thousand people could have seen that image going down the front page, many would have likely clicked on it just to answer the question of 'Is that what I think it is..?'.
Short answer, no. The nee-naws don't care that you looked at an image. Saving it may provoke a light response as that is technically possession, however.
lol, who the fuck in their right mind would do that?
>inb4 you aren't in the right mind to even download cp
>inb4 nobody on this thread has any clue what society views as "someone in the right mind"
as to websites collecting your info, do you mean things like doxbin, or do you mean websites solely collecting your info?
Chances are if you are doing something that would necessitate a deepweb website compiling info to hedge against you in the case you try to do them wrong, you are doing something illegal, and should probably stop.
Slightly surprised no mention of xmpp +OTR
You will not have to worry about clicking on a simple image. You did nothing wrong by doing that.
If you save it to a flashdrive? Well... If you click on the picture, it will show that the picture data went from the 4chan servers to xyz ip address (or directly to your computer if you are not using a vpn). If you save it because you are a dumbass, I suggest running truecrypt on your flashdrive. Also, remember that it might be stored in your browser cache, so you should have wiped that.
I hope you realize that I don't like people who do shit with cp, but I do like anonymity and encryption. They are tools, and it's up to you people on how you use them.
being on /b/ and accidentally coming up on it in a thread is one thing. actively looking for it is another. /b/ is notorious for that shit. the posters ip is reported by the mods.
