I swear if those fuckers release another Elder Scrolls before Fallout
I'm sure we will all know a lot more soon.
Argonia is the named of the kingdom/collective of tribes within Black Marsh you fucking Pleb. Just like how the nation of Alik'ir (race of Redguards) resides within Hammerfell.
I'm still expecting an Elder Scrolls which takes place half-undergound because some faggot dwemer accidentally split open the earth in a giant ravine and reveals that the dwemer have been living deep beneath the surface of Tamriel all this time, having forsaken those of them who became Falmer.
inb4 Elder Scroll VI: Tamriel
you heard me, bitch
>Bethesda taking it's sweet time recreating all of Tamriel for a game that encompasses the entire continent, involving journeys of epic proportions
>inb4 would never happen
Well if the Dwemer planned on going completely underground, and didn't want anyone following them, then they'd need to convince everyone on the surface that they'd disappeared altogether.
If they knew that the heart could teleport their entire race underground, then it's only logical that they could use it in the manner we see the result of.
they knew a lot of shit already- and have been stated to be incredibly intelligent.
It wouldn't be much to assume that they knew what it'd do.
And, if finally you need the endgame answer:
An elder scroll did it.
If anything in the game is confusing, or makes little to no sense, then an elder scroll did it. Period. That's The Elder Scroll's saga, always been, will always be. End of the story.
skyrim has shitty combat tactics, that fuckers need to learn something from this epic fucker
>leave start zone
>go back to sell it
>got nothing to sell
>give blacksmith money for a sword
>give blacksmith money for a sword
>give blacksmith money for a sword
>leave blacksmith before he takes all my money
>go to traders
>fucking blacksmith robbed me
Whatever it is I hope they are working with Oculus VR. Besides Dirt 3, Skyrim was the only game that was still cool and you could get to work alright with a lot of fucking around on my DK1
TES VI is Hammerfell.
Soz racists. Get used to it.
One of my mates works as a developer for bethesda. Next fallout will be released in ~2-5 years, and he described that it's set in a huge city up north in the US. Probably NYC and surrounding area.
Honestly Skyrim was the only region I cared about, and IMO they could have done that game a lot better so just don't care anymore.
I hate Kahjits suck Argonian suck and Elves look retarded, Bretons suck, Redguards are niggers....
Fun fact, The redguards used to live on a continent called Yokuda, They blew it up by using sword-nukes and immigrated to Tamriel,
>Exact same cover as Skyrim
>Cheap looking texturing on Title
>Logo that somehow succeeds in looking generic as fuck yet also as if it was designed by by and angsty autistic teen
Not even for a second
I'm pretty sure it is Boston. There have been quests in Fallout 3 "involving" Boston. The questline "The Replicated Man" from Doctor Zimmer in Rivet City hints towards Boston, "the Institue","The Commonwealth" and the Boston Wastelands. And Story-wise I'd bet my money on artificial intelligence playing a major role in it, just like it did in the Quest. Also Bethesda Dev. Staff spent extendend periods of time in Boston and more specificly at the MIT which could be the prototype for the so called "Institute" also mentioned in Fallout 3.
I kinda hope they do something kinda like the gold rush, somewhere in the middle of Tamriel, finding super rare "Elder Stones" gives you awesome powers, these stones are in dangerous ass cave systems and dun geons, all of Tamriel knows about the stones and that's why all the races are there, but the co stant digging of land have brought up some stone demon shit things that guard the stones, and seek to destroy all those looking for the stones.
Feel free to critique, just an idea I had.
Fallout 3 was just a stupid excuse to put the brotherhood in the east coast and make them look like the "saviors" of the waste fallout 3 twists the plot up into a fuck load of dick
Not gonna lie, anon. It's a shorty idea
They've already got plenty of material for future games. The continent off to the east of tamriel had crazy races of snake people and monkey people on it (can't remember the names of any of these things)
take the oblivion story, and more to it, and then add all the more enjoyable features in skyrim and you will get an amazing game. skyrim plot was no where near as good as oblivion's.
>Oblivion, better than skyrim
Now, I can see people arguing the series is going downhill, for obscure reasons such as change in general settings and stuff, and that's cool.
But goddammit, oblivion is not better than skyrim. Skyrim is literally oblivion streamlined gameplay standard, the characters are as good if not better, and the world isn't one giant field anymore.
>Hurr, that means it's dumbing down
No, it means that the magic system isn't useless compared to all the other skills anymore.
Now, morrowind, okay I can understand, but oblivion? Fuck you man.
It did suck. They basically turned Elder Scrolls into a generic RPG. Half the main quest lines weren't even complete - they set that stupid 11/11/11 release date and ran out of time, and so they wrapped up some of the main quests with shitty endings. The world was completely boring, characters were average at best.
There were a few decent side quests that kinda salvaged the game but overall the game was boring as fuck.
The only thing Skyrim had going for it was the gameplay, I'm one of the few Skyrim haters that actually agree with the faggots who say Skyrim has a better combat system. But if I wanted good combat I could play Dark Souls or something, I play Elder Scrolls games for the world, characters and story.
Sorry but the story in skyrim is soooooo dumbed down
every quest is exactly the same with little elaboration on why you are doing it
It's like a bigger world but now its filled with autists
Agreed, I can't wait for Skyblivion to be finished. Check out TESRenewal if you're interested, it'll be finished some day.
Dunno what's so hard to believe. Explain to me why Skyrim is a good game, I'll be happy to explain why you're wrong.
fuck elder scrolls I'm so sick of having my cousin Roman call me to go bowling
If you want good fantasy worlds, characters and stories go read a fucking book. Brandon Sanderson or Robert Jordan or Tolkien.
The only reason a fantasy fan would look to games instead of books is because they want to experience enjoyable gameplay. And like you said, Skyrim had quality gameplay.
Stop being a nigger and admit it's a good game.
Pretty sure this thread has Dunmer bad than good.
>not as good as i remember Morrowind = an unplayable piece of garbage that's literally worse all of the terrorist attacks in the past 30 years combined.
People in these threads.
oh shit. shes real
Or all of the references to the Commonwealth in Fallout 3, talking about the Commonwealth as a place of high-design and robotic genius.
Not sure who is blowing Morrowind up whose ass here.
Vault 87's goal was to perfect metahumans. The east coast super mutants are supposedly different from others. Never really understood how, but that's what they say in the game so.
This thread makes me Dragonbored AMIDOINITRITEGUISE?!
>The only reason a fantasy fan would look to games instead of books is because they want to experience enjoyable gameplay
Or, you know, to experience being part of the story, which is basically what made games like Morrowind so great? If you want gameplay, play Dark Souls.
Elder Scrolls games have always been about the world, story and lore, it's simply what defines them in their own "genre." In particular, the side quests are what make the games amazing, and Skyrim was a step below the other games in that department. The love and dedication shown in the previous games DID show through in Skyrim but it was clearly rushed to meet that stupid release date.
The big thing about those books is that George R. R. Martin is HORRIBLE at writing but a GREAT at story telling. I've subjected myself to all of the books and honestly anyone who tells you it's a great experience is lying.
The Game of Thrones show has its flaws (they dumb down a fair few things) but honestly you're better off watching that if you want to see the story, despite its flaws they do a way better job of getting the story across.
As a side note, Martin is pretty batshit insane. You should watch him on the panels, he's extremely bitter and butthurt that none of the actors have read (or will ever read) his books. He makes things so awkward.
>tes VI:Summerset isles
>opening: captured because of the thalmors racism
>think you are spy
>shady organisation frees you
>tell you the thalmor are planning to wipe out man
>they are trying to open a "clensing gate" that makes summerset isles an impenetrable fortress
>they will be safe as only high elves can enter
>rain hell on the provinces from affair
>you can join the organization to assassinate them, or help the thalmor and make summerset isle a fortress
>or strike it on your own, overthrow the thalmor and take over
Literally every time you level up a skill in Skyrim you see the overall level bar move closer to levelling up in the next few seconds. That little drumroll sound for levelling up always happens a little bit after the kill that got you experience
You mean this hoax? You know it was a hoax right?
I definitely agree re: Fallout being better at this stage, but I have faith that the Elder Scrolls can make a comeback. Skyrim was a hugely flawed game but it still had some of the elements that made the previous games great.
>Fallout is better than ES
yeah pretty much
>Skyrim sucked balls
I meant it in comparison to Morrowind and Oblivion. It was an enjoyable game, but it was disappointing in that it felt way too much like a generic fantasy RPG. The story was pretty average too. As usual, the side quests were the most enjoyable part of the game, but even the side quests were slightly below the standard set by the previous games.
New Vegas was a major improvement on Fallout 3.
Sure same engine and an equally as shitty setting, but the stuff they added was awesome, like different types of ammo and the ability to craft it. Also, the returns of characters from Fallout 2 sorta drew everyone to see that Bethesda/Obsidian hadn't forgotten what Interplay/Black Isle had contributed to make it a great series in the first place.
This was talked about when it was first created, it's not real some site in fucking tehran was just talking about where the new one would take place, just speculation. Besides they are making Fallout 4 first, which is why they are doing a press conference at E3 this year.
Redguards are the sandniggers of tamriel
1. Hopped up on adrenaline
2. Curved swords. Curved. Swords.
3. Travel by camel and turbans
Surprised they dont come with a suicide bomb attack
Shooped. I see the layer styles on the letters and the symbol. BLACK MARSH, not fucking argonia, and bethesda will be making fallout 4 before the next elder scrolls come out. Shit, skyrim is still fucking selling.
I played skyrim before any other elder scrolls, and i can't even play oblivion let alone morrowind. the graphics are so awful i barely got past making a character. i look forward to skywind and skyblivion so i can finally judge them. until then skyrim is THE best game ever and i ask you to prove me otherwise.
>skyrim is the best game ever
>people actually believe this
good point, id prefer nazis actually i guess. At least their hate is based on genealogy instead of imaginary friends
They should have skipped Fallout 3 alltogether and just stamped NV with that title. Fallout 3 had a bullshit story anyway, at least NV has a motive to drive you all the way through.
>skyrim is THE best game ever
>you might not be good at reading
Older games will always be harder to play because of how dated the graphics and gameplay feel. This is a fact and I won't dispute you on this because it's truth.
The only tip I can give you is to stick it out for a while, usually older games feel more playable after the first crappy hour or two.
Morrowind had a vastly better story and world than Skyrim, and with mods you can actually make it look pretty decent. I don't think the graphics are necessary to enjoy the game however, once you realise that Morrowind is a game that requires you to actually immerse yourself and think about what you've seen in order to get things done (as opposed to Skyrim where you can hack and slash your way through objective waypoints) you'll begin to realise just how great a game Morrowind is.
West Coast FEV required dipping, East Coast FEV was gas-like. Essentially they're two different strains of the same Virus, with about 3 other strains which haven't been explained properly.
Only massive difference is that the East Coast FEV seems to barely be effected by radiation, which was a massive problem in the West Coast FEV. The Master goes into detail about this, quite a lot.
Technically they're all gods, since Daedra translates as gods who didn't help in creation or "those who are not of us" or some shit. Aedra are the same but they just did the creating.
Sithis is like irl death, not really an entity but has qualities that can be attributed to one.
i mean i just couldn't stop laughing at how the argonians woal. they walk like they shit their pants. i can't even take the game seriously. i'll just have to wait for skywind to come out. i didn't get past the first village or whatever id morrowind and didn't get out of the imperial city in oblivion. i just can't deal with the graphics man.
Yeah I actually agree for people who haven't played the older games yet the renewal projects will probably be the best thing to wait for. It's going to take at least a few more years before we get something that's anywhere near complete but it'll be worth the wait.
Kind of like how Black Mesa recreated HL1 in the HL2 engine. Play that if you haven't played HL1 yet, it's a good recreation. It's still not entirely complete (missing one of the ending parts) but it's in a playable and pretty much story complete state.
Thank you for the better translation, I was too lazy to google it. But they are the same "species" if you will. Just more inherently interested in mundus, unlike the Aedra who await their worshipers in the afterlife or similar scenarios
Did you forget about the huge war the imperials had with them? The white people of tamriel were just smart enough to sacrifice some pagen hero worshiped non-god when their backs werre up against the wall
That's the guy. And that's pretty intersting.
I'm playing F2 as my go to game right now, and I keep forgetting the Enclave are doing all this testing. It's a major plot point too. Just got to San Fransico after returning to Arroyo with the GECK.
>You start with a direwolf companion
>You grow to love it
>A few missions in, the Thalmor Lannister kill your direwolf and cut your dick off
Just imagine if George R.R. Martin wrote the Elder Scroll series
The Deadra are more likely to meddle I the affairs of mortals unlike the aedra like you said. Boethia even asks for proof that aedra even exist. Also nords are the ones who enforce aedra worship because most of the other races worship atleast one of the Deadra
I honestly wouldn't care which came out first, I still would play the fuck out of it
idunu if its real or not but i sure as fuck hope the actualy try this time around i.e sky & moon forge doing as they were intended to... if they made the game propperly i would not have 200 mods running (all of witch are imersion based)
Yeah, same. As much as I'd love Fallout 4 right here, right now. I've got the feeling I'm going to be let down or something. Whereas with Elder Scrolls, I know exactly what I'm in for - and I love the hell out of that.
>having forsaken those of them who became the Falmer
Nigger do you even read the dialog
dumb cunt aside, I love the idea of a huge portion of the map being underground. Ever since I disovered Dwarf Fortress I've been fascinated by the idea of huge caverns filled with eldritch horrors.
Nigga you actually pay attention in games. That's what peopleshould be doing when playing them <3
Same here. I remember my first time discovering a former ruin after that I wanted to find them all. I love the idea of having a portion of the map with the underground dwemer cities. Maybe they'll release a game that takes place before the dwemer disappeared
Im gonna throw in my 2 cents on the 3 most recent elder scrolls
Not too interesting of quests
Cool locations, but caves and dungeons felt repetitive
Generic fantasy locations
Caves were bland, but not repetitive
Also boring combat
Less boring combat system
Had mechanics like the journal that i just flat out didnt like
is this better you pissbabies?
you're right, people should be doing that. It just feels right when you know all there is to know about a game as big as the elder scrolls because then I feel for immersed, making me enjoy the game even more
I'd love for the snow elves and dwemer to make an appearance as stable races in the game. Because I too love speculating what happened to the dwemer and sort of feel like the game is incomplete without hose two races
