God tier movies. This movie is God tier, anyone who doubts that is wrong.
nothing. It's a mishmash of fake science presented like it's real, with boring "actors", and a "scientific" plot that ends explaining itself with "hurr durr love is the force of the universe".
For the first time in my life I went to the cinema on my own to watch this
Was worth it, god tier film
Pic related, it's a god tier movie
I pirated the .flav of it, watched it on a big ass screen, and watched it again the next day first thing. I bought the movie after that because I thought it as so good. Jake's best performance.
I'll stick with the sci-fi theme.
Naw I agree it was a really cool movie, but a lot of people got really pretentious about it for some reason. Like I'm surprised it doesn't have abysmal reviews just because it seemed like it was cool to not like that movie when it came out.
Kek this. I'm willing to bet that 99% of the people who ended up playing alien isolation didn't understand why all the loading screens and cinematic shit looked like an old ass VHS tape.
Prometheus was mediocre at best, the first two Alien films shit on it from a great height.
Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection don't exist, AvP and AvP 2 are also poor.
Way to go ruin a franchise.
I don't know why I couldn't watch that movie. I have a really good attention span with movies but that one couldn't even get me 10 minutes in. I know I started the movie and then I just don't remember anything about it and I was doing something else pretty much right after I turned it on.
OK, a little off-topic but while we're discussing movies..
I just watched primer. Could anyone grasp this fucking movie on their first watch? Should I treat it like the Matrix & give it another go for good luck?
The shit was interesting but it mindfucked me harder than any movie ever has
Pls don't post the timeline 'explanation' picture either that cunt is fucked
its a fucking anime musical with techno
I'll admit it's a popcorn movie, Matthew Mconaughey brings his great form from Dallas Buyers Club, he is simply amazing to watch. The visuals were amazing and it was an emotional ride. Fuck the science behind it.
Your post was 1337. Also no give up if you watch the movie and try to figure it out you're just a pretentious fuck. Don't ever tell anyone you watched it, but if you do make sure to let them know it was fucking stupid. The film doesn't convey any coherent message.
> tfw this is one of the most underrated movies ever
I watched this a few days ago and enjoyed it immensely.
>Nothing incredible, but considering the budget and simplicity, it's actually really engaging and interesting.
Also movies like that try too hard. It's fucking confusing on purpose and even if you take the time to google what it was about if you can't follow it on your own it doesn't change the fact that the filmmakers were so condescending and edgy with the whole film. It was made to be a "smart" movie and that's it. That's what they went in trying to achieve and that's all they "achieved". A confusing plot doesn't make a movie smart or good. Stupid people just eat that shit up.
Oh it was too. I've only ever been recommended it/seen it discussed by niggas on here, so I doubt I'll come across anyone irl to bring it up with
Let alone anyone who's sharp enough to have comprehended it entirely
That movie is actually seriously fucked my brain is telling me to sleep
Watched this for the first time recently. Was not disappointed
I dont even care how much sense it was supposed to make but didnt, I fucking loved every second
Yeah it conveyed a message that's for sure, just not very gracefully
I watched it years ago & im 99% sure I was coming down off some shit when I watched it. Probably didn't help
Fucking hilarious movie.
Not really. The power of love didn't need to be there for the plot to finish. IMO, if her was was THAT strong, they would have visited his planet first and Matt Damon could have slept forever 'cause fuck him.
It is actually. The MSV Venture Star is among the most accurate future spacecraft shown on film just behind Discovery One from 2001.
The science is there the funding for experimental technologies is not(at least publicly).
Vote for best theme
Movie was nice in theater. Interstellar just lacks of rythm and content (while some content could have been ripped) imo, felt like movie was stretched and i was bored, but it has some unforgettable moments. Also the ost is great.
i feel you bro. I liked the engineer backgrounds and i wish the movie was more about it than it was about human morons hurrdurring between two ships. I hope the sequel will got it right this time, that we'll learn a lot of intradesting shit and not stick to a dumb bitch for 2h. Prometheus had potential.
It was still fucking awesome with a surprise very few people saw coming.
The T-800 being his usual self was the good guy and the T-1000 was the bad guy going all cop like and friendly until he got shot? Damn man. That blew minds in 1991.
That was not even a big part of the movie. I don't understand why everyone wants to trash the movie because of that. It was an incredible adventure experiencing it in theatres was amazing, both the sound and the visual.
This movie was pretty generic, I only want to rip on this movie because the director kept attempting to deny it didn't have anything to do with alien, and was not a prequel. We all knew it was so it was not shocking at all...
>All those posts
>not even a single Hitchcock's
Get on my level bitchez!
my most recent watch
good yet typical Disney plot but always enjoyable
Backdoor Sluts 9 makes Crotch Capers 3 look like Naughy Nurses 2, IMO
So what was the bigger meaning behind district 9? Watched it once and wasn't all that taken too it. Pic is my contribution
>tfw Blade Runner 2 is happening and Ridley isn't doing it.
So far ahead of its time with a world controlled by space faring corporations where the average Earth city is a multi cultural and multi racial mess with hundreds of languages where to the average person it sounds like gibberish and the common man is nothing more than stock all to the sound of rain, blues and flickering neon light.
It also mirrors the late twentieth century/early 21st century problems of white flight, and the resulting urban decay in western cities, but on an worldwide scale as whites move to racially homogenous areas leaving the migrants to ruins.
I think the reason I like it so much is Mason is pretty much exactly my age, so minus the abusive father part it was like a record of all the things I did growing up.
Like I remember going "oh shit, I forgot about that" at everything from the 20 questions game to the signs in his school to having his mom read harry potter to him.
The ending was okay. His mom's breakdown was fantastic.
This. Was so amped to go watch but it turned out to be fucking crap. It was good up until the point when the cliché "alterior motive" in the one astronaut happens and then it becomes shit and gets worse as time goes by. I just watched Jupiter Ascending as well and for the life of me I can't work out why the quality of sci-fi is just getting worse and worse. I hope Star Wars VII isn't going to be this fucking crap.
it's Freeman's voice
You guys should watch this movie. It's a total mindfuck, but makes sense if you pay attention.
You're saying that promethius ruined the franchise.
Everything after 'alien', ruined the franchise. Promethius, even with it's many many flaws is the second best in the 'franchise'.
I dunno, I thought it was cool. It's kind of neat to have a movie that's like a record of what the world was like when you were growing up around.
Then again it was the only movie besides the hobbit 3 and the half of Interstellar I could sit through that I saw this year. I don't watch movies too often.
>Interstellar was so shit.
>Nothing made sense.
I can tell for your comment that you are a fucking idiot, if this movie did not make 'sense' to you your a idiot. 15 scientific advisers on payroll and nasa correspondence to make sure that the physics was correct.
>regarded as one of the greatest movies of all time
>shitty because anon says so
To answer your question Pulp Fiction has colorful and well written characters and dialogue, nice music, and shit that you would never expect to see the first time seeing it.
God-tier reporting in. And I'm gonna get bashed for it but I fucking loved Gravity. Also just went to see Whiplass and that movie was fucking great!
i remember getting it for a couple of minutes, after the third time i watched it, but then it all slipped off of my mind again and i never cared to look into it ever again
was an awesome movie though, for those couple minutes
this is how it should be
die at 25 unless you succeed in life to live longer
>using the term edgy for no reason
The worse thing to happen to people (that's shown on screen is people being shot and stabbed with a samurai sword...Real edgy.
Ok we get it; YOU'RE DIFFERENT. YOU HAVE OPINIONS. Happy now you fucking cunt?
This movie is fucking god-tier. If you don't think so, then fuck you.
>time travel theory
>REAL LIFE SCIENTISTS CHECKED FIZICKS HURR
the acting was still bad. the script/screenplay was even worse.
go watch plebception again you nolan fanbabby.
Also if you want a memorable movie, then watch this.
no you dumb fag
life is nothing
there is no succeeding in life
who sets the meter of success brainwashed shill?
who will drive your trash around?
edge meter bursting over
It is flawed. Supposedly humans built the wormhole but how would of first humans build it? Their fate would of been the destruction of mankind considering they have nl help from future humans....
here is my tops:
There Will Be Blood
Meet Joe Black
No Country for Old Men
The Lincoln Lawyer
City of God
A Beautiful Mind
Reqium for a Dream
that's what they said after they realized it was them they saw travelling through the wormhole in the first place and then it suddenly dissappeared at the end??....
did you even watch the shitty movie? fundamentally flawed from beginning to end. nolan has no grasp on time travel/looping
Alot, if not all science fiction movie's have scientific advisor's or at the very least the book's they are based on have good scientific advisor's.
The fact they made such a big deal about this implies they where being defensive.
Scientific advisors cannot make up for shitty acting and a pretentious script.
Outside the fucking brilliant visuals the film was shit tier. I can tell [from] your comment that [you're] a fucking idiot.
Mid tier film's wrapped up in brilliant visuals is what Nolan is starting to be known for.
