yo /b/ what is the heaviest, most insanely brutal bands you have heard of. Currently I'm on Oceano, and just wondering how much heavier things can get. If you haven't heard of the demonic heaviness of Oceano, you are in for a treat:
tl;dr post heaviest breakdowns
Sever the King. I hardly like any deathcore/metalcore shit that's been coming out the past few years but they wreck shit. Meshuggah is my favorite metal band ever. Depths is Oceano's best album.
Funny Story about Oceano
I went to their show about 5 years ago when Depths came out
when the band before them played I got punched by there huge black singer. (dont know if hes still in the band, that band has been through so many people)
old school deathcore is good i guess
>the opening song is nice n heavy
This is one of the most solid death metal albums ever made.
I hope you don't like them. They're not even brutal, they just do a bunch of stupid breakdowns. That's all Oceano fucking is, shitty fucking breakdowns. I can't believe those talentless shits think they make music.
You're a dumbass for posting this thread OP
I could definitely recommend some good Death Metal / Deathcore bands.
The Black Dahlia Murder
Vale of Pnath
Rings of Saturn
All Shall Perish
Within the Ruins
Veil of Maya
We butter the Bread with Butter
Born of Osiris
The Crimson Armada / The Holy Guile
Spawn of Possession
Son of Aurelius
Slice the Cake
OP you need some Black Sheep Wall in your life if you like deathcore breakdowns.
If you appreciate true heaviness on a mortal "will fuck your soul" level, get really high or trip some ball sack and go listen to YOB's album Clearing the Path to Ascend, Neurosis album Given to the Rising, and Pallbearer's newest one (forget what its called)
Not thee "heaviest brutalist" thing but Bloodbath - Nightmares Flesh has so much power to the mix and vocals (peter tagtgren) it makes me cum buckets, maybe the song Eaten would satisfy you?
sludge / stoner metal is heavy in a very different way. its not something you beat people up in a pit to, but in the right circumstances it can absolutely be crushingly heavy.
this fucking album best song on it is senseless massacre
That I listen to relatively often would be either Abnormity or Ahab, Devourment too, but don't listen to them often
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZT1m9EY6Vrc - not incredibly heavy, but my favorite
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FfQHe3P4aM fucking Behemoth \M/
There's my 3, let's see what else you got.
yea, sworn in's start/end is the heaviest stuff in know, hands down.
get into arbiter though. 10/10 album. check 14:07 for the hardest track, probably my favorite too.
might be the only good one ITT
>first and last name of the list
where your rec at m8ey
Hexis, Fukpig, Discharge, Winds Of Genocide, Disfear come to mind... if we're sticking to metal.
TOP FUCKING KEK I listened to this garbage when I was in high school and thought emo faggots were cool.
Holy shit I started laughing my ass off when I saw that shitty album cover.
Emo underage faggot OP confirmed.
I'm not underage, emo, etc
If you saw me irl you wouldn't think I listened to metal, because I at least realise that you don't need to look like a tit to appreciate it.
Also I listen to other things, but I recently got into heavy breakdowns, so I'm here for the recs.
Maybe because Emmure are shit. They are so bad, you can only listen to them "ironically".
Listen to Arbiter.
Pretty sure one of them is a /b/tard as well.
Aegaeon - fucking top tier, link at end
circle of Contempt
Rose Funeral - link at end as well
Trace your Steps
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUuE5EtkR0s - Aegaeon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqpeNr-edTs - Rose Funeral
John Zorn, Miles Davis and all the free jazz bunch can make some heavy shit too.
>asks for heavy
>is a pussy
does the lack of synths or choirs make you unconfortable ?
there u go my nig
You kids need more black metal.
Every thread there's at least one
No matter how hard i try, i can never get into metal.
Why insist on the shitty screaming that sounds a bit like loud whispering? Choirs sounds a lot more menacing anyway, for the satanic sound.
Not to mention that all bands and songs sound the same.
fuck yeah. FUCK. YEAH. Also, one of the heaviest things you can experience is a Sunn O))) live show. The tech crew have to actually rig the PA in a special way to handle the insane bass.
from the shitty art I was expecting a lot worse... still a bit overproduced/tryhard for achieving real heaviness imo
Holy fucking shit. Are you french ? Definitely saving Indian for later. Got a last.fm ?
I agree, it's sad most metalhead plebs will never know what "extreme" or "heavy" really means
Ossadogva is the most blasphemous.

all those black metal fags thinking their music is "hard".
all those grind and doom and sludge fags thinking that playing something slow or fast makes it hard.
honestly, i like some black metal and i like some doom and sludge, but there are no breakdowns that are "hard", that's just not what this music is about.
>Holy fucking shit. Are you french ? Definitely saving Indian for later. Got a last.fm ?
Not French. And no, I don't.
These are mine also, though you might have heard some of them before.
Oh, and speaking of France, check out these guys if you haven't already.
I had figured all of these posts were from the same guy. The reason I asked is because it's the first time I see Plebeian Grandstand mentioned, even on /mu/. Great taste, anon
guilty of both, but what is hard, then ? pls post some recs or go fuck yourself
>QT metal vocalists not giving you an erection
Hey OP just gonna throw some recs
Faceless - An Autopsy
The Contortionist - Shapeshifter EP
Born Of Osiris - The New Reign
The Ghost Inside - The Fury And The Fallen Ones
Jig-Ai - Katana Orgy
The Carrier - Blind To What Is Right
Watchers And Hunters - Hope
Cro-Mags - Age Of Quarrel
The Acacia Strain - Continent
Just a note not all of this is straight up brutal death metal but this is some heavy shit I always play at the gym and hella pumps me up also
>>604081698 fucking Celeste also a good band would rec them as well
Right off the fucking bat, no intro or anything
I'm not familar with their entire catalog, but I've seen The Contortionist twice (both times playing earlier on the card for a band I went to see) and some of their stuff is extremely mellow.
I agree that they can be, but generally bands who have heavy breakdowns are still heavy without them. Compare a Molotov Solution breakdown to a Set Your Goals (one of the only pop punk bands I actually like) breakdown.
Yeah their albums are really progressive the least of which being Exoplanet which has heavy ass moments and is chill as fuck but their Shapeshifter EP is some Deathcore/prog shit but heavy as hell here's a song off the EP I dig
I like progressive. One of my favorite bands is Periphery, but I've never been able to get into The Contortionist. I know they have a new vocalist. Their newer stuff doesn't sound like they're even remotely the same band that recorded this. I dig it.
Exactly main reason why I really love this EP is just how different they were then. If you are looking to get into them check out Shapeshifter and Exoplanet for sure heaviest they've ever gone after that it's up to you if you want to ditch the heavy for the prog with Intrinsic and Languages
Been hooked on them the past six months or so. These guys fucking kick ass, I'm bummed that they're on Hiatus, I hope they return some time and continue where they left off.
Also, this whole album by A Life Once Lost. Too bad they split up.
It's more groovy than "heavy" but they get pretty brutal at times.
Record stores and Discogs. Nothing like the real thing.
Some of you kids are straight faggots..some kids said Nekrogoblikon? Really? A gimmick melodeath with generic weedly deedly lead guitar?
Carnifex? Oh jesus dont get me started on that lip piercing pussyfart shit.
THIS ALBUM..THE PREMIER JOURNEY INTO FULL ON TECHNICALITY AND BRUTALITY WITH A SMART TWIST.
Got some friendly letters from my ISP, and being the paranoid bastard that I am, I don't want to change it.
I agree, and I do buy physical albums... When I have cash.
Some argentinian heavy things
I just don't see what's so appealing? Fast rolls on the drums. Low shit vocals... etc etc.
Again, for heaviness early Darkthrone is #1 from A Blaze specifically. I've heard everything in black and more than enough in death metal. Nothing can compare.
Pyrrhon - Mother of Virtues
Dissonant death metal with tons of Gorguts influence. Definetely better than nearly all the new shit tier metal bands that are coming out lately.
blood fire death, de mysteriis, under a funeral moon, along with >>604080324 and >>604078574 not only compare but outclass imo. I would even add some Immortal, Summoning and Bethlehem to the contenders. And I intentionally leave out the more recent stuff from Deathspell Omega or Shining.
your the pussy green texting, adjust your fedora faggot it's cutting off the circulation to your brain...
darkthrone...fucking lol...sorry bro just listened & darkthrone a blaze in the northern sky just sounds like every other pleb black metal band out there...
Vulvodynia, Vildhjarta, Ingested, Enterprise Earth, Infant Annihilator, Thy Art is Murder, Parasitic Ejaculation, Acrania, Acranius, Cerebral Bore, Feign, Abysmal Dawn, Cattle Decapitation.
