Best anime movie or series you have ever seen!
saber riders and the star sheriffs anyone?
Then samurai champloo, then psycho pass, then bleach, then trigun, then cowboy bebop, then fullmetal alchemist, then attack on titan.
Havn't really watched much lately.. But i wanna watch parasyte or however you spell it.
My favorites were
is this a zombie of the dead
I like cutsie stupid animes with lovable female characters.
I personally really enjoyed Vampire hunter D: bloodlust. The visuals were just stunning. The first Vampire hunter was also noice but not as graphically pleasing.
Also honorable mentions:
Memories (Especially the Magnetic Rose)
Berserk arcs (thought not as good as manga)
Ghost in the shell (The first movie obviously)
Grave of the fireflies
Girl who jumpd through time
That is all I can think of so far
Nagi no Asukara
this nigga gets it
also blue gender
also does afro samurai count?
These plus Yu Yu Hakusho are pure gold
Whats wrong w death note? Its good. Just ignore the hype/dickriding. Just because its popular doesnt mean its not good. I sense a fedora tip
Anyone watched this? I'm not saying is the best I've ever seen, but I did enjoy it.
this is why 4chan is dead
instead of anyone giving an opinion on the show i posted, all i got was autistic faggots obsessing over the post number
you're such a faggot cause you're the fucking cesspool
Since I can't choose an absolute best I'll post an unsorted list of series:
"Kino no tabi" (pic related), "Planetes", "Serial Experiments Lain", "Mushishi", "The Tatami Galaxy".
For movies I would say "Spirited Away", "Ghost in the Shell", "Grave of the fireflies" and "Voices from a distant star", but I didn't see all of Satoshi Kon (shame on me) and he probably deserves one or more places in that list, as far as I've heard.
and the first 2 seasons of Digimon
the english digimon intro song sucks! the original or the german songs are 1000% times better
Oda knows how to bring on the fucking feels. Even with the cartoony style (which I initially didn't like) he can make you tear up like a little bitch some goofy looking reindeer. The humor of the show is also somewhat campy but at times hilarious. Just wish every new episode wasn't 10 fucking minutes of content.
thank you for seeing past the quints -.-
I love mech animes, so I guess this one WAS right up my alley, but I really did enjoy the setting and premise as well. I thought it was thoroughly entertaining and cant wait for season 2
I cant tell if you are trolling
Everything after L kind of sucked,
For a guy who knew what was coming for the whole series he really failed in the most obvious way at the end...
Rei is just as fucked up, just in a different way.
>implying Ramiel isn't best girl.
Denno coil is the best 2005-2010 sci-fi-realistic animu evar.
1.NUCLEAR BEARD MISSILES.
2. GOOGLE GLASSES PREDICTED.
2. GOOGLE DRIVEN CARS PREDICTED.
3. MOTHERFUCKING NUCLEAR BEARD MISSILES!!11
Well, I'll probably check season 2 anyway. It was good enough to make me want to continue.
Also, if you love mech anime then what I recommend you, if you haven't seen it yet, is Eureka Seven. That anime was the one that made me give mech anime a chance. Great characters and an impressive development of the relationships between them. It deals with topics of family, war, politics and other stuff pretty damn well and the OST is amazing. I don't know how I forgot to put this one in the list.
anime is like every other genre
90% of it sucks, but there's some good shit in there if you're capable of forming your own opinions on shit and not just writing off an entire genre because your friends think it's gays
David Duchovny is my waifu
he got quints nigger, that's impressive and also you bitch at us for not giving an opinion on the show, you don't seem to be giving an opinion either
Everybody loves that movie but I didn't really like it that much.
Also pic related
Give me one with less than 4 season that isn't yet another comedy and I will. I watched Firefly and BBC's Sherlock and really enjoyed them, but I can't seem to find anything more that matches those conditions.
I don't like the subliminal Seagate logo. Seagate blows. Their hard drives all suck.
THIS MESSAGE BROUGHT TO YOU BY WESTERN DIGITAL.
I feel much better now.
nice one. i just got the ultimate edition of both movies and the series. but i am more into comics so my "hobby room" walls are full of marvel stuff an my animes are just seen in my vhs and dvd shelf.
Thing is, I'm not a weaboo. I've never read a manga or seen an anime apart from Spirited Away and I think Japanese culture is largely shit. Heck, I'm not in this thread to make friends. But someone put me on to Attack on Titan and I got hooked, watched 25 episodes in a few days.
Not even the best from this studio, yet alone of all time.
i heard there is a team that wants to make a live action movie of it. what do you guys think about that?
This thread is just good taste all around.
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
>South Park of Japan
Watched the first 15 episodes and I consider the show to be finished. They had way more material to work with and chose to fuck everything up for some reason, which could have been a decent ending, but no they had to keep milking it. I enjoyed it while I watched it but in hindsight it's just and easy watch with a good concept and was written horribly with boring characters and a cliche plotline , very undeniable and probly the worst anime I've ever seen.
Favorite movie of all time is The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
It won't work. Live action anime adaptations never do just look at The Death note and Dragonball movies. One way or another the plot will be americanised and Hollywood cliches will dilute the quality of the movie. The director already announced several of his retarded 'edits' to the plot choosing to set it in MAN-FUCKING-HATTEN and making Kaneda and Tetsuo bartenders who aren't even in a biking gang. The closest live action has come to getting close to the Akira spirit was Chronicle and even that was incredibly American.
It doesn't matter, Anime action never looks good in love action and the characters who we think look badass in Anime just look like autists in real life. I'd argue the closest any Live action movie has come to actually feeling like an Anime or Manga is Battle Royale but that's one of a very, very small list.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
funny guy becomes smoking hot readhead when he touches cold water.
Lol already seen it up to his freshly reinacted hiatus. Dark Tournament Saga by itself is better than most anime altogether. HxH is great but it's not in my top 5. Gantz and Psycho Pass are higher.
Not the best for certain, but Soul Eater's still my favourite. Good recent watches for me would be Steins;Gate and Berserk, also watched a bunch of Ghibli movies lately as well as a movie with a mate called Appleseed Alpha, that was good.
the light novels are better but the voice acting and ost are 10/10
Samurai Flamenco all the way, shame the animation budget was low
Gantz, Berserk, Slayers, Tenchi Muyo, Brynhldr in the Darkness, and my all-time favorite, Vampire Hunter D.
>I'm guessing, but, OP is bored, and needing some good anime to watch and getting suggestions from /b/. :P
Pisses me off that no one has seen this master piece
If you wanted some sort of closure about masaomi leaving you would have needed about 5 more episodes, the hollywood arc in this s2 to know why he left, but then you would have even more unanswered questions
It was a shitty ending, but was the best option for the s1 finale
I really wanted that anime to be good. The artistic design of the main character and her weapon was cool, but it was really bad. I couldn't even finish it.
Saw it. Can't say is one of the best in general but was fun as fuck.
May not be the best but it's the one I enjoyed the most and rewatched the most
Kaoru, Ai & Haruka > rest
Really? Was around there where it peaked my interest. Gurren Lagann had the same effect on me. I just kept watching till the end but I dont think I enjoyed it as much as others..
