Anime Reccomendation Thread.
How this works is we each post 3-5 of our favorite anime and other anons reccomend an anime to us based on our lists.
I'd ask /a/, but they're literally the worst. I've noticed that /b/ had vastly superior taste and tolerance of anime.
I'll post first...
OP here, these are in no particular order.
-Kill la Kill
I know, more than 5. Post as many as you think you need to show what you like.
- cory in the house
- bee movie
OP has good taste minus one piece.
Anyways I'll give some recs
Avatar Legend of Aang
Lately also into attack on titan
Sakamichi No Apollon
I think these are ok,
clannad (after story)
Ghost in the machine
that's like all the anime I've ever watched, and I was 15, but they were good animes nigger.
I would say attack on titan but that's like a given at this point.
/a/ are such assholes, right? I mean, why should they try to prune their own board of shitty cancer threads to foster discussion of actual anime? I mean, if you want to watch a show, why should you have to make the sacrifice of watching a couple of episodes to see if you like it?
Full metal alchemist(both are ok)
I can't understand what my husband is saying.
Darker than black.
I can't think of any others but there are lots.
I just started watching ghost stories and it's pretty fucking great so far. you have to watch the english dub though, I guess the original japanese was so bad that they let the english voice actors do whatever the fuck they want, and the result is something in the same vein as dbz abridged.
Akatsuki no yona Danmachi Yahari Ore no Seishun Toradora! K-On! Bakemonogatari Amagi Another Kaze no Stigma Elfen lied Soukyuu no fafner DA Toukkou Rin Gantz No game no life Nobunaga the fool Unihabited planet survive Danganronpa Tokyo magnitude Akikan! Higurashi FLCL Fafner Owari no seraph Log horizon Btooom Ixion saga dt Drauga no tou Kiseijuu Nisekoi Galaxy angel Toaru majutsu Hiiro no kakura
the 2011 version is really good, a lot of well done fight scenes. I'd recommend it, though the first few episodes are basically character development so - not a lot happening. after a few episodes you'll get into it
I'll check thatcout. OP btw. That's one of the reasons I lke Samurai Champloo and One Piece(fitemem8), the fucking fight scenes man. Easiest way to convince me to watch an anime. Lol
6 good anime movies (varied genres)
Spirited Away (you should've seen this by now)
The tale of the princess Kaguya
The end of Evangelion
The disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
5 centimeters per second
Ghost in the shell
The people who say that all anime is crap are just as retarded as the weaboos who only watch anime and nothing else. Because it's objectively not true, there are got anime series
Clannad season 2
Darker than black
Also looking for manga recommendations but I'm not about to make a brand new thread for it
nove anime fan here, trying to catch up on missed stuff. so far I saw:
>fullmetal alchemist brotherhood
>attack on titan
>Ghost in the shell
any more stuff like these?
Not in order
Recently checked out RWBY and liked that as well.
I'm also surprised no one else said Claymore...
Attack on titan
Meh I unno
>I-I can stop watching anime whenever I want!
You addicts need to calm the fuck down and get your lives together. Look how emotional you fags are getting over chinese cartoons for children.
Anyone know anything like aot, sidonia no kishi, deathnote? Dont care if subbed
Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai
Ouran High School Host Club
Kimagure Orange Road
(decided not to post the ones that always get posted, like nge, cowboy bebop, trigun, fma etc.)
Vampire D Bloodlust
Great stuff to start with. Try Cowboy Bebop(and it's spiritual sequel Samurai Champloo), it's a classic and what is credited with starting the westernized popularity of anime.
No specific order but ill try keep it less known
Cross ange tenshi to ryuu no rondo
madan no ou to vanadis
tasogare otome x amnesia
mahouka koukou no rettousei
I only need to post one OP.
it contains a bit of everything & to date; no anime can remotely compare to it's glory.
(also important to note it has the best fight scenes & best soundtrack of any anime)
Unfortunately I've already read all of berserk >>611844744
I've read a certain magical index and evangel ion and I just finished the anime for eureka7 last night. Is the manga better" the anime seemed to leave a lot of stuff out
Code Geass - very enjoyable
Samurai Champlo - burrty good
Speed Grapher - uniquely enjoyable
Higschool of the dead - was ok
Attack of titanshit - Overrated
Death Note - Very enjoyable at firts until you grow up and realize kira is basically a spoiled child.
Gunslinger Girl - Slow ish meh good
Popotan - You pervert
Infinite Stratus - Could of been good if it took advantage of its plot and not made it a slice of life halfway through
When they cry - Good
I cant remember any more at the moment
Death parade has probably the best Title Sequence I've ever watched.
Best opening goes to Jormungand though.
Mobile suit Gundam wing
The devil is a part timer, shit is fucking hilarious.
Sword art online
Avatar the last airbender, might think it is for kids but it is not and I would say it is in my top 3.
All the Miyazaki movies
Samurai x, again these are movies
Attack on titan
Highschool of the dead
I highly recommend all the titles on this list.
this, i love the way it parodies death note, code geass, bleach, one piece, naruto, dbz, death note, gundam and all the other shit-tier anime
Alucard's Jackal gun is amazing tho
Hasn't been mentioned
one of my favorites and the animation is excellent too
Haven't seen a lot of anime. Mostly just stuff that's on Toonami or supposed to be good. Any recomendations?
>Anime I liked
Ghost in the Shell
for op id reccomend afro samurai gurren lagann and code geass
Original list maker here.
Whilst those 20 movies and series are my favorites, there is one I didn't mention because no other anime (movie or series) can measure up to it's standard. This series is perfection and cannot be topped.
I'll let you guess what it is.
I have seen lots of anime. Around 512, if I check my MAL.
> Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
> FLCL (if you like TTGL Style)
> Code Geass
> Kyoukai no Kanata
> Samurai Champloo
> Death Note
There are still lots of anime who are great to see like:
> Yahari No Seishun
> Baka to test to shoukanjo
> Bounen no Xamdou
Last anime before I stopped watching them actively. I realized most of the anime series coming out are shit and mushishi was kind of something nothing could top on my list anymore.
Most of my favorites have been posted, figure I'll post the others.
Guilty Crown, Chaos;HEAd, Black Rock Shooter, Shiki, S-cry-ed
Also, my +1 to Higurashi (When they cry), Mushi-Shi, and Claymore.
too lazy to remember them all but some recent ones i liked were:
-attack on titan
-akame ga kill
-the one with the human eating parasites was alright
-the berserk manga if that counts
some that were fucking shit:
-SAO, way too fucking gay after the first 5 episodes or so
-death note, egdy fucking 15 yo superiority complex /r/ atheism shit
recomend me something, i have no idea what to watch. no weeb shit pls.
Western cinema doesn't have tons of animated CP. western cinema doesn't have shows where teenage girls in short skirts and school outfits get torn apart by monsters while everything gets showered in blood. Why would anyone want to watch this
Hunter x hunter
Attack on titan
Dragon ball z
G gundam and Gundam wing
i just started watching senran kagura, its not good but its a fan thing cause i liked the games.
ive tried to get into anime before and i jjust dont know anymore. i have a very specific and limited taste but i've watched
persona 4 (fan thing, still good if you liked the game)
welcome to the nhk
also why do they bleed their noses when they see something sexually attractive? that shit is beyong retard
You also won't see this shit in a japanese cinema. In fact, barely anyone watches this shit in Japan. It's like pointing at american scat/whatever fetish porn to demonstrate how degenerate americans are
That´s one of the best musical anime/manga, great recommended bro
Have you watched akame ga kill?
>mfw akame ga kill
A long while back I watched this anime movie type thing that had to do with some guy seeing this random girl on top of some industrial buildings and then getting teleported into this desert world that was at war and had little to no water? I think there was something about a little bead that held that places water that main character lost and somesort of cyborgs. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
You can keep trying to make that shit true, but it's really not. Everybody there is a weaboo retard who loves anime. It's praised everywhere, on their fucking airplanes, in their cafes, all over. If you were going to use an analogy, try not to be childish.
