>>1062266 I mean it really depends on how much you withhold each month. And if you have no deductions, like interest paid on student loans, home loans, or dependents/married then there is no reason to expect a refund.
>>1062253 Well, i went leveragedx3 bear on oil at 27,7$ (ca the lowest point in this downtrend), so my ass is sore at the moment. Believe me when i say i shat barbed wire when oil rallied 12% RITE fuken after i bought. Thinking about riding it out tho as i am still bearish on oil. This given that the only positive news oil has gotten in a while is as shit as a hint from saudi.
Alright, /biz. Please bear with me. It's my first post here. I usually go on /ck/, /out/, /pol/ and very ocasionally, /int/.
I've just heard something about that is called in my country (England), by law 'Eminent domain'. As I understand it, it means that the investments I've just made in property in a very remote area of my country; 3 houses, a cafe/restaurant (where I cook and work as owner) can be simply be 'aquired' by the local government or the national government if they wish to, for example, build a road through my legally owned land. This worries me, because my plans are at the whim of some officails who don't know my village and I can employ people while securing a good profitable business for my family. Something the employees can share in.
I inherited about one £million recently so I invested it in my business which is doing fine (cafe in the day, nice restaurant at evening). I'm a chef, not a businessman. I 'm also severely dyslexic. So sorry foe typos. I usaully dictate emails and letters.
But this idea of ""eminent domain" is scaring the shit out of me. Pic is my village. We don't need anymore roads. Its mils from anywhere. I suspect some corrupt deal at the locl goverment. Some shady contracs.
But I've heard that that there's plans to run a road here. Can the authorities just take away my investemt? .
Give some advise pleas. I know youre clever fuckers. I have a lot to lose, but a lot to gian.
What you refer to is called "compulsory purchase" in the UK check out wikipedia and pic related. Also, if you can spare the money, if you can get an environment agency to prove there are protected species in the area, that can slow things down.
>>1062222 It's called compulsory acquisition in Australia as well. It can happen at any time, but are there any plans for it? If not, I wouldn't be too worried. There has to be some pretty compelling reasons as to why they have to knock everything over and put a road over the business, as opposed to putting it beside the business.
>>1062203 Go to bed early. Like 9pm. Take melatonin at 8:30 and you'll be ready to sleep at 9. Get up at 6:30 and put on some coffee. Better yet, set your coffee machine to start automatically to help get you out of bed. Then go to the gym.
tl;dr I get a better job offer. Current boss wants to keep me and offers huge raise.
So here's a little background: I'm 22 and I've been at my current job for over 5 years. (I work as a DME tech at a locally owned pharmacy) in those 5 years I went from part time to full time, the store went under new ownership, and my pay went from $8/hr to $10/hr. Obviously, I've been looking for a new job since it's hard to live on these wages. Well, I got a job offer at a medical supply company doing what I do now for $14/hr. They're a bit bigger... Hi /biz/, tomorrow im going to leverage my whole bank account of $1,000,000 AUD for 100:1 on a forex trade for AUD/USD. The the currency I get from this exchange, I'll have $70mil usd and use this amount to make a firm think I have enough collateral if the trade goes bad (It won't) and will be safe to be given the option to short $20mil worth of BHP shares. Hoping that these shares fall (I know they will in the next month) after I sell them initially, I'll buy back my short, making and enormous profit in the 10s of millions. After this I will trade... >>1062174 in the stock market, money flow to those with information. You don't have any new information. The BHP shares might drop, they might not. AUD/USD exchange rate might go up, or down, or stay pretty much the same. You don't know shit, not anything more than all the people that are buying and selling.
You may win, you may go broke, but it all adds up to normality. All you're doing is putting all your money on black and paying the casino a small fee in the process.
Hi /biz/ I'm 18 from the U.K and there are apprenticeship applications open right now which will take place starting September.
My college education was in subjects I do not with to pursue to university (because of idiotic choices) so this is probably my only option apart from a shitty job.
There is a finance apprenticeship open and there is only a limited amount of info on the website about it.
The thing is I've never really done anything finance related up to this point and know fuck all about economics so I come here to ask for any tips... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Phone them and ask for a more detailed description of the apprenticeship and ask for the specific job title or department that you would work in. Research that job and find out exactly what they do. Then goal of your research should be being able to have a simple conversation with someone that shows you have at least basic understanding of the industry and that you are very enthusiastic about learning more. They don't expect you to know anything really, just show that you're worth the time and money to train. Just fake your enthusiasm in regards to 'working... Comment too long. >>1062076 they are the most evil people in the world anon. remember that.
they do not have your interests at heart, only their own.
do not rely on a single agency. there are hundreds of agencies and all of them treat you only as a product. but remember, they are working for you- you are not working for them. if an agency pisses you off, just move on to the next one.
>>1062076 Place I used to work at would bring in temps for the warehouse from time to time. I guess it was a decent gig for them, they'd stay for a few months. They were just negroes who didn't give a fuck for the most part
>>1062076 I once got a job through a temp agency for IT work as a summer job. They're good for people entering the job market for the first time because they can point out fuckups before the employer sees you.
