Your question is completely different than the thread subject.
>Officers cannot be interpreters >If you enlist when you could be an officer you're dicking yourself over >ROTC has scholarships associated with it >Implying that you won't deploy while in the reserves at the worst possible fucking moment
That GI bill is sweet, but you're better off doing ROTC and doing a four year hitch.
Marine here. After I got out I had the GI bill which is pretty helpful. But honestly dude them saying its "free" is a meme. Im in debt from college loans even with the GIB. Do not join. Your motive just is not enough.
It's transfer season, and I'm looking to see where I should apply to bring my associates in I.T.
What sort of meme-tier schools should I be staying away from? And are there any places where I'll actually stand a chance networking with others, considering I'll be a new face coming in after 2 years of community college?
Are there any Washington schools worth looking at, or is that looking in the wrong direction?
>>1060579 > Going for IT degree I have bad news for you... it's not worth the paper it's printed on as everyone already has this degree. Go to a trade school and get certified. Buy books and make a portfolio of your work. Apprentice/intern. Don't waste time in college.
I'm currently making $35k/year with a Bachelor's degree. I did very well - I graduated with distinction and a high 3.7GPA. The main reason my salary is so low is because I live in a rural area and didn't want to move to the city.
I'm considering getting an MBA. My sister-in-law actually works at Purdue University's admissions office and she says I would be a shoe in with my background.
Is it worth it getting an MBA in my situation? If I got one I would be wiling to relocate.
>>1060484 You are being severely underpaid right now, 35k for a job out of college is well below average. There are many factors that go into deciding if an MBA is worth it (will the company pay, are you going to stay in your field, online or full time, etc).
So... today i was checking my bank account and apparently i made a payment for $1154, reported to the bank but wtf how does this even happened? and i'm wondering what will happen with my money at the end
And the worst part, i don't buy random stuff on internet, just on ebay with paypal and other sites with mastercard securecode.. fucking shit
Can't say, but one way is you got owned by some xss vulnerability while purchasing something on ebay from a evil seller, or maybe one of the sites you purchased from got hacked by gooks. POS systems are notoriously vulnerable too. Or maybe your card has a RFID chip and someone passively scanned it. Rather than pay to secure the systems credit card companies feel its better to simply provide fraud protection. There are videos that explain the security problems on youtube.
Okay, bear with me, U.S tax n00b here. Last year I moved to the states and started to work as a bartender. It's a shady area of taxing since there are tips involved. All my credit card tips were being reported and I was getting them on a paycheck, biweekly. YES, they used to tax my tips (healthcare, state, federal, ss) since it was a big hotel. I rarely had cash tips and if any, there was no report (aaaand it was under $30 bucks anyways). Now what I want to know is if I still owe IRS. I hear that service industry workers are screwed every year.

Hey /biz/. How do I not get robbed paying over $600 for car insurance every month?I'm a 19 year old community college student and I currently hold 2 points on my license (blew a red light in NJ) but I plan on taking that Safe Driving course shit and apparently it would make them go away. The other thing is, convincing somebody to put me under their policy is not a choice simply because nobody wants to take that risk upon themselves. Parents is a no also (family issues). What do I do ? Should I invest in kneepads even more every month? Pic related >inb4... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>1060409 I know that but not having a car is like having one leg - you'll get by but it's gonna be very difficult. I'm not classified as poor, I'm just not classified as somebody who was $600 spare change to throw out on a car without any problem
>>1060393 >grow own food >bulk buy staple/long life foods from wholesalers >don't fall for /fa/ds >DIY everything >go to open parties and scavenge food >sneak upstairs and steal people's RAM when they aren't looking
>>1060393 Stop dining out every day at work, save an easy $200-300 a month, and improve life. I don't eat breakfast the past 10 years, very healthy and fit weight class. Same with dining out on the road. Pick up some sardines/soylent for your car and store it there to avoid stopping and blowing cash on junk food.
>>1060367 yeah.. lets open up a mom and pop store so we can get fucked whenever amazon opens up micro-storage units across the country and you get all of your groceries and shit shipped to you on the same day by a delivery truck or drone.
Walmart is just reacting to the news from China. There are no new factories being opened and production is grinding to a halt. Look at their export data. Walmart can't supply all their stores so they're closing the ones that are a liability in the company books. They closed those stores as soon China took a shit. Which should tell you that Walmart was expecting this for years.
Iphones sell for around 1000 in china so they buy for 500 600 here and make bank. I know this because I have arrested people for getting crackheads to open a phone account for the phone they pay them 50 bucks send the iphone to china and profit.
