How can these huge fucking bubbles still be up?
>I'm not being sarcastic, this is what people actually think
I'm looking for some books to read /biz/, it can be whatever genre as long as it is interesting. It doesn't necessarily have to be a economic or financial book
I'm also looking for a fiction or non-fiction book with an economic or financial plot. Something similar to Spice and Wolf. Is there anything similar to this in a novel form?
Aight, real nigga hours.
All books about finance written before the HFT renaissance are toilet paper. There does not exist a book today that can prepare you for the warzone of modern wall street.
Read journal papers about market microstructure, a PhD textbook in statistical and probabilistic reasoning, and learn C, C++, R, Matlab, some database shit, and linear algebra.
Then get fucked on the market and work as a McDonalds cashier until you die.
Look up bitches for the next thing! Gotta store them all
Decentralizing currency, decentralized storage so you don't need the data centers or anyone that needs to fund and therefore control the storage. It wrestles the power away from any one controlling entity and gives the power to anyone and everyone. I read about this when reading up on block chain tech.
It's interesting stuff. Power to the people. It's almost scary in some ways, like watching Skynet come online and become self aware in Terminator 2.
There could be legal problems down the line depending on WHAT some stranger is storing on your hard drive.
It doesn't matter if it's encrypted. The mere possession of certain material on your hard drive is a crime, no matter who you're holding it for.
So, with the markets where they are, I've finally decided that I want to sell my bitcoins to cover up some of my losses.
It's been so long (I've held bitcoins for almost 4 years now) that I don't know where to sell them. Specifically in Canada.
I have googled some websites, but I don't know if they're trust worthy. Has anyone used cavirtex before or canadianbitcoins?
If not, what is a trusted site to tell them on?
What does /biz/ think of network marketing? Networking might not be yalls strong suit, but I'd figured asking if anyone has any first hand experience might be worth it.
I got introduced via a friend of a friend who thought I might make a good candidate for it, passed the initial "interview" and will attend my first meeting of about 20 people. They also gave me Robert kyosaki's book on network marketing to read. What am I in for?
Run, now. Network Marketing is just a new term for pyramid scheme. No long term success, heavy initial investment. The criteria for passing the first interview is being gullible and having money. Please do yourself a favor and do not attend that meeting. So far you are even, if you go that meeting you will have wasted your time and most likely some money (peer pressure at those things is insane). If you don't believe me, go ahead, buy into it, I'll see you back here in 3 months with less money than you started with.
Give me one good reason why you haven't pored your life savings into Ether for an guaranteed return?
>Protip: You can't
Literally goddamn this.
Right now, thousands of tiny holders have been created. They've worked out how to buy ETH, they've made a little profit, and they see the hype is still strong.
Now they will be thinking shit, if I really want to make a difference I'd be better off putting a grand in. So this week they will be getting paid (end of the month) and they will be getting as much ETH as they dare to hold.
This rocket ship is about to take off to the point where it is too big to fail. It's not just you here reading this, it's thousands...

How many of you are self employed?
>What do you do?
> Any training required?
> What kind of money do you make per week?
I think we are all just dreamers...mabie a few bullshitters.
I am an electrician by trade, tried a little bit of work for myself, but the market for tradies is too competitive, and it's too hard to get people to pay etc.... I earn more money as a wage slave, I am studying business at the moment and will mabie try and invest or get into another kind of business when i finish.
Are you in the US? how much training did you have to complete to become an electrician how long do you have to apprentice before you can legally do it on your own as a full fledged electrician
Is it the old 'sophisticated hackers robbed us' excuse or are they just incompetent? How much are you out?
No its not incompetence. They know what they are doing. I don't know how you guys trust any exchanges at all. I mean... how many times has this fucking happened? At least a couple dozen different exchanges involved in thefts, scams and frauds?
>money of the future
Hello. welcome to stuff bank.
give me stuff
you pay me interest to keep the stuff
and then you get the stuff back after you pay to get your stuff back.
It involves alot of complicated math and stuff
(emphasis on stuff)
Interest rates vary from 100% every 100 years to 100% every 10 minutes
we also convert stuff.
for instance, if you've got some liquid stuff, you can exchange it for some gassy stuff, or maybe some nice solid stuff.
1 solid stuff = 2 liquid stuff = 400 gas stuff
Why didn't you go to your local community college to get an Associates in dental hygiene and make $70k a year?
Were you that desperate for a suit and long hours?
>majored in STEM
>have a job
>don't work long hours
>every day is different
>have considerable autonomy in what I get to do at work
But nah, your way sounds better OP
When the market crashes, im going to penny stocks....
Why not just buy a few hunderd dollars of some stock at .0001-.0003 and see what happens?
"There's an amazing truck near a farm and I literally can't buy it because I don't have the hours to afford the insurance but at the same time I can't get a job that would supply me the hours"
hes also told me hes been turned down atleast 4 times because he has no car, do you guys have any advice?
how do poor people ascend in life??
Im poor with no car. If he wants a job he should look into LYING.
Do NOT tell those fuckers trying to enslave you that you don't have a car at the interview.
DO look up public transportation options. My old town didn't even have a bus, but we did have rural county access. Had to call a number, schedule a ride 3 days in advance, be ready an hour beforehand. It gave me a ride though.
If you want success you can get it. You have to be willing to do something for it though, not make excuses like hes doing.
"friend: As a full time employee I need to work consistently meaning I need my own way of getting there and I also need to provide a valid drivers license
OP: your mom has car right
friend: She does but she needs it
OP: what if you got your license
friend: No bc our hours conflict
friend: I'd need to pay 220 for Insurance on a car if I was on my mom's
OP: did all of the jobs require you to have a vehicle??
friend: All 4 that I applied for yes
friend: And those 4 were the best...

This. He needs to lie and bum rides off of friends until he can afford the truck and insurance (or just tge truck if he can dodge cops driving weird routes/times). Shame the economy is full of nearly impossible situations like this but people, espcially management types, are stupid and selfish.
Just a friendly notice for nocoiners.
If you bought Ether this time last week you would have doubled your worth as of today.
Stay mad with your plummeting indexes.
