Sophomore Stats and possibly Comp Sci Dub Major Hopefully work for some big company as a wageslave until 45, then just live meagerly I tutor math and people's stupidity is astounding. People don't know how to get the area of a rectangle, sqrt(4), how to convert ft into inches.
>>1057074 >2004 Physics & Math double major >2006 Masters in Physics >When I was an undergrad one of the fatbitchy girls in my major tried to crawl through an O shaped statue we had on campus and got stuck. She ended up switching her major to music due to the humiliation.
I just put 250 into a binary options account. I lost money on these a year ago but I'm going to try it again.
Anyone have experience with them?
Also I'm aware the binary options brokers are there to take people's monies. >Operate off "volume basis" >Don't charge commission on any options >More predictable stocks (such as vidya companies) not available >Have fluctuating % payoffs for more volatile times of day >Offer ridiculously unpredictable 60-second binaries >Provide an overload of information on trading to make it seem like theyre helping, but they rush you to start by constantly calling and emailing, so you don't have a solid strategy
>"Not trying to take our money"
I know I'm playing their game on their turf, but it's still satisfying to hold the thought that I will be taking their money.
If huge businesses in America are taxed for 60-90% will they leave? I always hear the argument if Bernie or whoever wins the election all these businesses will leave, but will they really leave one of their main audiences and will they actually do it or is it just a bluff?
One more thing has anything liked this in America happened and business left, give examples if you can thanks.
I mainly mean the country no states pic kinda related.

Hey /biz/ so what are your expectations on the future of the economy?
Im just a college student here but I havent been taking any loans because I dont know how, so I just pay off my tuition with my part time job. is this stupid?
Anyways I just watched the movie, the big short and it kind of opened up my eyes to these things. I realized how many of these people who thought they were big shots because they worked for these wall street banks and than at the end of the movie literally thousands of these people lost their job in one day. It just makes me kinda hopeless.... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Most people who start up business usually go to the bank for a loan and get it if they have a solid credit history and their business plan seems reasonable and well thought out. Or they go to family and friends, loan some money and hopefully pay it back if the business goes well.
>>1056863 Like a library of 3-D printers that people pay to use? You are right, it has a very high start up price and won't really work too well. There are personalized small ones that people can buy for 10k, which isn't too insane. Secondly why would you not make it over the internet where people submit in CAD designs and you ship it to them? Thirdly you probably would need some designers since the average Joe does not know how to design their own shit. For small stuff like a whistle, the Chinese are cheaper. For... Comment too long. >>1056872 >end of the world on zero hedge To be fair, theyve only been in business since '09, and theyve been deriding the same flaws in the financial system since then. They havent been proven wrong yet
Hey /biz/ can you guys please give me your opinions? I'm 21 years old and living on my own. I have about $17,500 saved up and am planning on saving for another year and reach as close to $30,000 as I can. My plan is to take that money and buy either a duplex or 3 unit building and live in one of the units. My question is, is the income from rent going to be worth it? I want to save all theoney I gain and buy more rentals until o can get an apartment complex.
What was your experience like starting your own business? What business type did you choose? How did you acquire the funds necessary to start said business? What kind of business did you create(what industry)? How do you save on/evade corporate taxes? How would you describe the stability of your career?
I am an entepreneur and management graduate. I wrote my thesis on start-ups and the intuitive and rational thinking proces. From this study I can say that entepreneurs generally follow their hearts with minimum risk until they find an opportunity that could be rationally worked out in a feasible way. So my advise is start without capital (search for the term bootstrap financing) and do what makes you happy and search for feasible business opportunities. Work them out and than go for financing your plans. But starting to do stuff is more important than everything else!
