Is Warren Buffet really the nice jolly grandpa that he portrays? Any links or stories of him being his business self?
read the article about LTCM going down by michael lewis, talks a bit about how he got out of solomon brothers because all he cares about is his reputation, for the same reasons he stepped in when LTCM was floundering and looked like a hero but was just making a shit ton of money, did the same thing with GS during the financial crisis. hes a completely ego-driven psychopath just like you'd expect, just really got at hiding it and staying modest. still a genius tho
How can I get into freelance work from scratch. Should I do promo work?
How did other freelancers from /biz/ got into the game?
I can do web dev and copy writing if it's any help..
Are Indians stealing American jobs on wall street? I see quora shit online of people in India asking" How can i come to america and become stock broker?"
I can speak 6 languages almost perfectly but my math abilities are crap.
How much of a chance do I have to succeed in the business world, assuming I'm good looking?
Is language skill even useful anymore?
Lol I'm on my phone right now and I have no idea how to do this for you anon, but I'm fluent in French,English,German,Swiss-German,Portuguese and Japanese even if the last one is a bit harder.
Back to my question, is there some use to this shit?
Yes. Translating, transcribing, etc.
I am highly skeptical of you being good at all in all of those languages though. If you were any good at them you wouldn't be asking such a silly question.
How hard it is to make a 10% return with a $5k capital in 3 months?
Seriously, stop this meme. Throw away your money on stocks while knowing nothing about the market is a great way to lose everything. Day trading in general doesn't generate great returns. As a regular investor you should be more dividend focused in your market investments and worry less about stock price.
I'm about to graduate with a PhD in Statistics. What kind of jobs are available to me? How much $$$ can I expect to make?
Is a MBA worth it or is it just a meme?
I was a NEET first
then I was an Internet marketer for a long time but I hated it because I had to do disgusting stuff to make a profit (basically bordeline spamming)
Then I got a regular job, at first I loved it now I think of suicide every morning I have to go to that place
OK I'm exaggerating but... I'm dreaming of work from home again, what is a good skill to have fore freelancing other than programming?
I'm actually thinking of relocating to some cheap country like Thailand even. But in the freelance scene you compete with thousands...

Are you that guy from a Slavic country that made a thread recently about not caring that much about money and just wanting free time?
Also, what did you do exactly as an Internet marketer? I don't mind spamming if I can make a living through it.
Domain seizure by department of justice
Would you rather be a digital nano-athlete dentist or personal climate control brandiing attorney?
Is STEM just a meme, or the only worthwhile thing to major in?
a STEM degree is worth getting into mostly because of long term pay and job security, basically if you want a secure job market and are willing to wait a good number of years for really good pay, it's the way to go
I just bought a subscription,
is this the most trustworthy news or is it going to be liberal bullshit? Ruport Murdoc is supposed to be a libertarian.
Opinions on media general
I just invested in an index fund a few weeks ago and of course now it's down. The indices always go up overtime though right? If I stick it out I'll end up making a good rate of return? Especially if I put X dollars into the fund each month?
I hope you fully intend to hold these for decades.
The theory goes, that over multiple decades the market always goes up. However, if your investing horizon is too short, your entry point can make or break you.
It's a Vanguard fund that pretty much follows the dow. I figure if the world economy comes to a complete downfall I'll have much bigger things to rworry about than my fund anyways.
Why and how did xe ruin Canada? (Economically)
But I was reading a thread on /pol/ where they linked stories of him wasting billions of dollars on random things, and he's only been in office for like a month.
Why does he keep doing that? It seems like he's an infiltrator or something. No one can genuinely think to do some of the stuff I've read he does.
Well it's only beginning in terms of how bad it will get for Canada, but no one government can be blamed for it.
Canada has been getting ruined for at least 30 years, mostly by Liberals. Ontario is the most mis-managed economy in the world.
Does /biz/ have a recommended reading list on finance, investments, trading, economics, etc?
