What's the most needed profession in today's world? I would like to study something that ensures my income for a long time before i start my business. What should i study if i want to be an enterprise executive?
Hi /biz/ i come to you in the hopes that some of you have some experience with uber. I'm a 27 yr old currently working in an office as an accounts representative in a customs brokerage company. So to cut a long story short I'm quitting my office job and I'm going back to school, I've 3 classes left to get my degree in electrical engineering. I have been looking into Uber as it seems to be the option that will offer me the flexibility that a normal 9-5 job wouldn't. So my question is, does uber realistically speaking pay enough in a week to survive, i... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>1042533 I live in NYC and by two airports, I've also seen on craigslist people "renting" out their uber ready cars for about $350-$450 a week depending on the year of the car which seems like a good plan. Drive one and rent one out, would seem like a good option.
I'm in a weird spot /biz/. So, i'm job hunting and just did an interview today as a kitchen aid at a local hospital. Pays really well, and offers insurance. I also put in an application at a gas station before the hospital that i could walk to for work, its really close. I know everyone in town. The old gas station that USED to be at the same spot, i worked at.
I'm supposed to getting a call on saturday if i get hired on, Possibly friday. but the manager at the hospital said she had another interview to do on friday.
After i get home from that... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Yes that's how it works anon and it's nothing new.
The entire system is based upon just that, people keeping their money in the banks. So as soon as things turn sour the shit hits the fan almost immediately, like it did in Greece last summer as an example.
>>1042438 I read the same book, 4th edition. I'm honestly not sure. Both fractional and reserve banking seem flawed. Fiat money has lots of flaws, but even the gold standard has some flaws. Competing currencies is also flawed. I'm not quite sure what the best monetary system is because even the so-called experts are divided. Among libertarians there's tons of different opinions. Ultimately though I think Friedman is right though. His k-percent rule seems to be ideal. The problem is that it's fiat money and... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Hey guys just wondering what major you think is the best in terms of employability, salary and boringness. Im having a hard time choosing between : Finance (Only truly find stock market and shit like this intersting) Accounting (Father is a fisc. has his own firm w/e... easy job to get I guess?) MIS (Everyone says it's the future, that it's gonna bloom) Keep in my, I'm in my 2nd semester, and got good grades in those 3 introduction classes.
Please help me, I'm just some retarded larva that can't make his own decisions >:D
Hey /biz/, not sure if this is the plac for this but has anyone here ever worked on a Barge or Commercial Ship before? Im coming off the military and I already miss being at sea but I don't want to do it with all the military bullshit. Does anyone know what its like to work on a ship? The pay? What the day to day life and the usual ports?
>>1042410 Maybe we can get another one rolling, maybe its in the archives? I'm really interested and considering continuing working at sea but as Ive learned from being in the military not everything is what it seems.
I think they are $40 a month lawyer interns basically. The lawyers at LegalShield are all either your first year law school grads (which can be a good or bad thing, depending on the actual lawyer you get) or they are the older guys who were too slow/too outdated at their last practice and had to move somewhere... easier.
In my personal opinion if you are going to use them to send out your collection letters every month and get an occasional opinion on something they are fine.
If you need an actual lawyer though dont ever trust one who isnt billing you a minimum... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Hey /biz/ I made a robinhood investment simulator on Investopedia. I originally planed to use it for myself as a testing game. But I want to let some of you guys in on it. The game has rules in place to mimic Robinhood, no commission, no shorting, etc. You start with 1k, end date is April 14, 2016.
I have to respond to a public records request and it's making my job difficult. I would exchange the information passing on my aggression. So far, I'm going to scan the documents into a single unordered, unsearchable pdf which is ~1000 pages long.
Instead of pages, can you just have one really really long page? You would need a pdf creator I think. Like you could save them all as images, then put them all in one really huge Microsoft Publisher document and then save as as pdf. That way if they print it, the "pages", all running together, won't print neatly on sheets of paper. They'll get cut off in the middle. Also maybe make it a huge file that would crash any normal computer. I think you can do that fairly easily in InDesign or Illustrator. Make it like 600 gigabytes.
I think ████████████████ but ████████████ and ██████████████████████████, yet I █████████████ on █████ . So yeah, you can take your ████████████████████ on your ███████████ after I █████████████ to the ████████ .
