I absolutely think the endgame for the U.S. is the same place as Venezuela or France because the federal and state and local governments are over their heads in debt they'll get more and more desperate in the future and raise taxes and regulate everything that moves until it stops moving and then regulate it some more just to be sure until there are no businesses left or shut down because they either got overtaxed or overregulated or both. You can already see this happening look around at the governments such...

If you don't like finance jobs, why are you searching for one?
>>
>>1493165

I'd switch to sales. Easy to get into, always hiring, and can be fun if you are in a good situation. Plus you'll learn a thing or two.

I have rarely heard good things about finance.

Maybe just look for sales positions in finance, payroll, benefits, etc...

Beware commission only. You want a base of 40 - 60, with extra money for commission.

Anyone else here poor? I only have 70$ left after paying rent and utilities and I work 70 hours a week

I basically only have enough money left for eggs, rice and beans each month

Seattle is hot again. A lot of the Silicon Valley companies that hadn't had a Seattle presence have opened big Seattle offices recently (Google, Facebook, Apple). Lots of startups too and of course Amazon and Microsoft. Cost of living has been going way up recently, but it is still quite a bit more affordable than most of the places you listed.

10 replies and 1 images submitted. Click here to view.

No. A financial adviser usually works with individuals, convincing them to give him more money to manage so he can charge them a higher fee or get a referral bonus or some other bs.

In financial consulting, you usually work with a business, helping them to make financial decisions.

Which area has the better career prospects (UK) - Risk or Finance?

Currently, I am applying for graduate analyst roles at any banks that are open. Both career prospects are rewarding and appeals to me.

With Finance you have the opportunity to study for CIMA or ACCA, whereas in Risk it varies by what bank you go for since some offer no professional qualification. This seems to be a deal breaker for me - anyone advise??!?

How can we invest in making the phone free and descentralized in the internet like was done with email?
12 replies and 2 images submitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>1492869
No. There are a lot of reasons, but the biggest ones:
- Massive expenditures required to implement any wireless tech, meaning carriers call the shots in a lot of cases
- Thousands of patents on virtually every aspect of the technology
- Saturation of the market in terms of hardware, where most consumers evince a desire to have their hands held (i.e. Apple's walled garden).

That said, 3GPP and ETSI are probably as close as we'll ever come to what you're describing.
>>
>>1492878
The problem is, right now calls to advance have to work only on the internet
Calls made from 3g are only slow and expensive because they go through the internet to the phone line
Calls only through the internet is the solution to make 3g viable to make calls

Idk about others and I'm sure it would draw in some idiots eventually, but the big draw to trading crypto for me is the complete unnecessity of a brokerage.

Being able to buy and sell for mega-low fees with complete control over your money and access to far more information on the market than free stock charts will ever give you (market depth charts, volume, buy/sell orders) is what makes it great for anyone to start trading without the need for a broker.

Starting a crypto hedge fund would be a different story, but you have to be able to prove your gains...

All things Amazon.

Anyone buying or selling on Amazon? What are your tips/secrets?

Couple things I've done or discovered:

1. Amazon FBA is great if you have a bunch of misc to get rid of and little time. eBay beats them in terms of profit, but definitely not effort nor time.

2. If you review enough products on Amazon you can & will receive messages from sellers for discounts, free products, promotions, etc. If you're careful and NEET enough you can re-sell them for profit too.

3. Stack the above with No Rush credit and you get...

5. Buy college textbook as eBook on Amazon. Remove DRM and convert to PDF. Return eBook to Amazon claiming something along the lines of "I decided to drop the class". Free college textbooks. Super easy with "calibre".
In most cases where that might not work, I can typically find a torrent, though I'm much more wary of those sources.

6. Amazon mTurk is basically a fancy/more exclusive version of SwagBucks where they pay you beer money for surveys, information, etc

7. Amazon Mom discounts are up to 20% on mostly baby products and are available to everyone willing to fill out a form pretending they have a baby

8. Amazon student discounts are available if you have access to a .edu email and offer extra discount

9. Amazon Subscribe & Save is another 5-10%...
