So can we have a /safeinvesting/ general or something? You know, people who don't want MASSIVE FINANCIAL GAINS and care more about just planning ahead and making sure they're set for the future?
I (luckily) just made about $4k selling TVIX, and I was thinking of moving it to my ROTH IRA, which has a 3-fund idiot distrobution. I was wondering if it would be smarter to allocate the money to those funds now, or to wait for whatever tumultuous part the economy is in to be over. (I know it's tumultuous because I made fucking $4k in TVIX)
I'll soon publish a website that'll sell some virtual goods. I plan to sell them via Paypal. Thought, I want to protect my business. I know it's possible with Paypal to send money then cancel the payment.
>>1090867 using another platform to sell your goods. there's so much shit they do behind the scenes you have no idea. online fraud is out of control.
I assume you're pretty small scale and will be doing whatever it is you're doing by hand more or less. you'll probably take a few loads in the mouth due to fraud no matter how hard you try. get the funds out of your paypal as soon as possible too and dont link it to your main bank account, they will freeze it as soon as they find a reason to.

If you're up the challenge, do a double major in 4 years at a good school. That way, you have enough time for internships and such, as well as being able to maintain and higher GPA and having time to network.
Doing a bachelor in 2 years will not benefit you in the long run more than what I mentioned above.
>>1090709 how to get rich: 1) create a new crypto currency, mine yourself millions (or billions) of it when it is worth almost nothing 2) once you believe you have enough you start to shill: go to coin forums, make videos of how your coin is better than others and all teh fancy features that it wil have (all lies btw) 3)once interest is sparked people will begin to mine it/buy it, 4)price will rise a tiny bit then others will begin shilling for you, the shills will keep shilling and the price will go up and up 5)... Hey /biz/ I heard about this Ethereum stuff and it sounded pretty good so a couple of days ago I convinced my mum to put her retirement money in ETH. It was going up really fast so last night I bought 11,000ETH at 0.018BTC now the price is 0.014 when i looked this morning.
Was wondering when you think it's going to go back up?
>>1090641 hold. if you really bought that many. HOLD. do not touch it. you should really put in in a paper/cold wallet offline. in a few years, hell, even by summertime you could be a millionaire. if it ever reaches btc peak prices or surpasses (which some think can happen) you are set for life
What would be an average market price for a 19th century coin? I know it varies a lot and all that, but let's assume it's just a normal coin that was once very common and widely in circulation, and that it isn't made out of any precious metals.
> When we speak about “outsourcing” and “free trade,” we speak in abstractions. Here is what these terms look like in practice. >Carrier announced this week that it will close a plant in Indianapolis that manufactures furnaces and move that plant to Mexico. The move means that “1,300 union jobs that average $20 to $21 per hour” will be lost. >Here is a three and a half minute video of the corporate business man telling the workers that their plant will be closing. “Fuck you”... It provides cheaper goods. The downside for those 1300 workers is felt as a much smaller upside for every one of the company's customers. The increased investment in Mexico will boost the economy there, and help to open up their market to American (and other) companies. Overall, it generates growth. Increasing globalisation has coincided with the largest fall in poverty in human history.
The downside is that shareholder capitalism increasingly has a tendency to suck money away from the middle classes... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Hey /biz/ I was planing on buying a recycling machine (makes plastic pellets) and start a business, I live in a small country (50k people) and there is no one that is in this business, so I would be the only one. Can someone give me any tips and is this kind of business worth it?
If anyone can relate or has a similar idea, go ahead and share with us
>>1090557 No i don't think so, and if so, then its a small amount, I was thinking about shipping it out of the country. I was thinking about if 50k people are enough to produce garbage to make a recycling business successful
