>>1041132 >15 percent returns There isn't an investment vehicle on earth that's going to guarantee a 15 percent annual return. NONE. It looks like that's the math he's doing to get there and it's complete bullshit. There's a reason this guy is being investigated by the feds and why he's looking at a lengthy prison term.
All the massive QE and debt has been a failure, the economy is a sham
Oil will never recover, the financial system will be completely destroyed in the coming weeks, there will be no more investment, the oil will stay cheap and won't be economical to extract
Oil prices will skyrocket but nobody will have the money to buy it, food will stop coming to the supermarket, industrial civilization will collapse shortly after and 95% of the population will die of starvation within 3 years
I have a couple of ideas for smartphone apps, but I have absolutely no experience in programming. Is there an established market where people with app ideas sell the concept to a developer to produce and then use for their own profit, or would I be better off simply hiring somebody to program it for me and monetize it myself?
learn some java, there are enough tutorials around that will teach you enough to do some easier apps alone. might take a month to learn but its worth it. if you expect that if you tell a programmer your idea and you bring in only the idea and nothing else and you share 50/50 while he is doing all the work...good luck finding this idiot.
My father did not go to college, rather trade school for HVAC, and has his own successful AC company. His company profits around 5 mil a year (not his net) and he has around 5-10 full time employees. He has ran the company fairlly well, with good logos/name recognition shit.
What should I study in college so when I take over the company, I can expand the company and create new branches around my state? After I go to college I should go to trade school correct?
- Go to a good business school and get a 4 year degree in BA
- In your spare time get to know your father's business intimately. Work as a tech, study his books, met his suppliers, learn what challenges he faced and what he faces now. Ask if you can be part of any meetings and even lead them.
- Get to know other companies in HVAC. What are they doing? who owns them? How do they compete. What strengths/weaknesses do they have
If you do these things you could probably graduate, and within a year or two gave total... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
All I want in life is to have a stable job with normal hours that pays enough for me to upgrade my PC every 12 months and afford new Steam games. I'm a 22 year old dropout and have failed that miserably so far, but I'm starting community college now. Plan to get an Associate's in Accounting and then my Aunt is gonna get me in at the credit union she works for. She's a loan officer there and I plan to be a personal banker, opening accounts for people and stuff. She says it pays about $40K a year and the hours are good, 12PM-6PM Mon-Thurs and 9AM-6PM Friday and Saturday. Plus credit unions close on every little minor holiday.
Who else here has modest goals? Everybody here talks about making millions off of $20 in Robinhood or Bitcoin. Got to be some sensible people here.
I don't know if it's modest, but this is my ideal life:
Own a 15 acre off the grid self sufficient property away from the major population centres, own a 200 acre farm with lots of nut trees and other capital/time intensive infrastructure, own an innercity property (in Aus, the innercity is the rich part of town because we don't have the government forcing blacks into everyones neighbourhoods), skill up as an expert in drought resilience/land rehabilitation and earn enough money from my job and assets to holiday twice a year and buy most anything I want.
>>1040973 Im with you on the living a modest life anon, but i simply wont settle for mediocrity.

I was actually considering on becoming an nurse or radiology tech (x-ray guy), but my Aunt already said she'd get me a job if I got at least an associate's degree in Accounting so I'm doing that to be safe. I'll either rent an apartment or buy a trailer, and save my money to spend on gaming and other projects I like such as fishing, gym equipment, etc. Don't care about a gf.
My friend in china said that it can't possibly go lower as all the bad/stupid investors are out of the market. He's got about $15,000 in ICBC securities, I'm seriously thinking about buying them since he's offering them to me below the current market rate.
>>1040931 They do what you are saying already. It even creates a market phenomenon known as contango where future prices are more expensive. This makes it hard to buy oil for the future to invest. Hence why most people just buy a big oil company and go long (hold the stock until oil is high and it reflects in the stock earnings/price).
>Assuming we all think oil prices are eventually going to rise
If you assume this, you assume that developed Western economies will begin consuming again or that a couple of the major oil and gas producing regions will stop doing so. I doubt the first will happen and the second is unthinkable.
I own some delisted shares on Robinhood. The trading had been halted and they will be delisted from the NYSE. How will I be able to access them for trading either over the counter or on pinksheets (if the company doesn't go bankrupt).
