If I want to own properties in different countries, is a corporation a good vehicle for ownership?
My aims are: protecting my land assets from litigation, inheritance taxes and death duties. I want an indestructible legacy for any children I might have.
But how does one go about using property owned by ones own corporation? Can you make your family the beneficiary of a non-profit company, or do you have to pay yourself rent and suffer double taxation?
>>1038679 I'm looking into something like this too, of course it depends on the country. But as far as I know, you could just write any contract between the company and your heirs that you wanted. Pay less than taxes in rent, pay for any maintenance through the corp and use the fact that it lost money as a tax shelter...
Before you do too much planning I think you'd want to talk to a tax lawyer of the country you want to do this in. They could advise you better than I could.
Gonna bump this thread a bit actually as I was asking /biz this exact thing a few days ago. The hivemind's creepy on Reddit, but out here I find it fascinating.
>>1038679 An idea I had was to make it not a standard corporation but an educational institution. I think that might be better for tax purposes, but also possible that the 'education perks' get yanked if the student loan bubble bursts and people get fed up with degree mills. Any thoughts on that, likeminded Anon?
I'm applying to work frontline at banks in my city, what aspects of finance and economics should I read about / brush up on so I can demonstrate I know what to do? I have a BBA but have been out of the /biz/ loop for a while and I went to a shit school that taught barely any finance
>>1038624 I worked at a library for 2 years using an online system and database, you're telling me that should be enough? A friend of mine works at a bank and he says he's learned a lot from working the frontline, it's not just grunt work.
That said I suppose I should have clarified, I want to work frontline and be promoted from there, so if I know my shit going in then the promotion can come faster. I know working as the teller is not difficult.
What are your tips for when I'm handing in CV/resumes? So far I've only really handed them to whoever was behind the counter. Should I be talking to the manager? Also any tips for how I should present myself when first meeting people?
What would you do if you won? More importantly how does one secure like 600 million after taxes? Securities? Banks? How does one go from impoverished to super wealthy without losing large sums of money due to stupid spending or bad management?
I've been manager of 2 costas now, and I have to say, they fucking rake in money. It's easy money to rake in off pretentious fucks and old farts. But I've now got £11,000 in the bank. I want to open a small coffee shop/bar. Any tips and advice on how to go about doing this. I'm fully aware without that trust fund i'll be needing a loan/partner.
How do I develop a work ethic I read about people that work 100 hours per week and I don't know how they do it. Is it a matter of just forcing yourself to do it, or making it enjoyable, or gradually increase the amount of work you do so you aren't ever stressed out by the increased workload? A high work ethic is essential to accomplishing anything and I must develop it if I hope to amount to something.
How to learn? Here's how Elon Musk describes his learning method: >Frankly, though, I think most people can... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>1038522 >What is it that gives them that quality? Idk maybe they have kids. Dealing with responsibility has a way of putting casual social interaction in its proper place. Or maybe they just spend more time looking at people than a computer screen, unlike you.
