>my mom hasn't worked for 15 years; was just a stay-at-home mom >decides to go for real estate license >licensed in June >7 months, she is in contract with 5 houses >hardest part (accumulating clients) over, everything will just be easier now >these 5 houses alone will make her 100k before taxes
Surely real estate can't be this easy, right?

With the crash a lot of agents went to other fields. Who stayed were the wage slaves and the successful. Her 100k in comision will be less than 60k after everything is said and done. By the time you figure it all out, she is making probably around 20-25 dollars an hour.
If she slips up, no profit this year... like literaly, she worked 300+ days for nothing. If she flies, she could make millions. Its all a gamble.
Funny story. I met an agent about 6 months ago to look at a building (decided the entire idea wasnt worth my time) He showed... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>1037875 Genuine reply... I work from home, choosing my own hours, so long as I get the job done. I'm employed by several places in Australia and after 4 years working for them, primarily from home, and then totally from home with 'optional' in-office work, I decided I didn't need to live anywhere in particular. Now I currently live in USA. Where? Wherever I want. I've worked out of a hotel room in Vegas, log cabin in Tennessee, McDonalds in bumfuck nowhere Kentucky (or was it Indiana???) and now in Scottsdale AZ. I have an ongoing joke with everyone I meet that I 'don't work' because they never see me work and I am always just wondering around like an unemployed bum. Some days I work for 10hrs, other days I might shoot off a few email replies - 10-15 minutes tops - and call it a day. So long as I look like I'm doing something. I know a bunch of other people who work from home - seems pretty popular in Scottsdale - but they seem to have hours set in stone and they're much more accountable than me... so I really feel like it doesn't get much better. I'm also the 'joke' of my family - they always talk about me as if I'm unemployed, always offer me money, ask if I need help with bills etc - because they never see me working. I'm starting to think even my wife thinks I'm 'faking' having a job...
/biz/ I have a request. I've been a NEET for a while but was wondering how things would be if I were a girl so I've devised this experiment.
I'd need someone to make 2 resumes up, one male one female naturally. The resumes should be similar, but not exactly the same as to avoid detection as trickery from an employer. my experience/education is as follows if you can stick close to that, it would be lovely.
High School Graduate,
Basically Janitor experience at a family business, something that isn't like food related, probably something... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
doing the same droll tasks for a job everyday, perhaps for 10-12 hours a day, for not nearly enough cash can limit you to very finite moments to be happy
give this guy a million dollars and he will go nuts doing everything he ever wanted to, hell go on vacations, delve into interesting hobbies that his time consuming work didnt allow, he'll be able to afford the things he wants

So I was working in Japan for a few years but I'm now back in the US.
Theres a law in Japan that says you have to close your bank account if you move out the country, so I shut it down and brought all my savings back with me. The problem is the yen is doing really shitty currently so I didn't want to convert it to dollars. I also don't like just having a pile of cash sitting around at home. What are my options in the US?
Its not a massive amount (about $3000) but its still something
I've gone from NEET and part-time employment to recently being employed full-time. And not just full time, but I'm going to be expected to be putting in about 60hrs/week between working and studying. Pretty crazy, right? The job is good, and the money is great. It's just the time that's worrying me.
how do you do 60hr work weeks without going insane? thanks /biz/.
>>1037793 As a NEET you will want to fall back to your old habits whenever it gets tough. Don't cede an inch, establish a routine that incorporates good sleep and exercise, and follow it every day. Routine is absolutely critical to actually being productive and not losing time like posting on 4chan.
I run this website that uses artificial intelligence to try to predict future bitcoin prices (and now, after a major upgrade, eur/usd and aud/usd exchange rates). I will soon be adding more currency pairs as well. The predictions are displayed on simple charts. Starting tomorrow, you'll also be able to see charts showing its performance by showing predicted vs actual prices.
Any feedback or suggestions would be much appreciated! That being said, I recognize that this is 4chan and finding constructive feedback might be a longshot lol...
Some of you guys might remember me posting every now and then.
Simply, I have access to factory production prices of circular column form work and wood composite decking with the salesman $% also excluded.
So theoreticaly I have the absolute cheapest price possible without he company taking a profit or a loss. This is due to my girlfriends family owning 50% of the company. It's in China and turns over roughly 10-15million per month USD.
My question is does anyone have experience with importing and distribution small and large... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Hello /biz. Freshman in college here. Should I continue to learn Spanish? Does Spanish help at all in business in the modern times? Will it push on my journey to stop being a poorfag? Insight into Spanish in the business world please. Also, should I learn Chinese?
Long time lurker here who wants some advice regarding Forex platforms, I mainly want to know what is the best (by best I mean hassle free) website/tool to start doing demo trades without having to go through silly shit and phone calls
Trying to talk some sense into my fiance. I already own a home in the US, which was $150k (less than 3x my income). She is British and wants to buy a home in SE England for about $300k (about 7x her income). She has 150k in savings, which she would invest almost completely into the property, and wants to take out a $150k loan. She currently lives rent-free with her parents.
This seems like a particularly bad idea because:
A) In general, buying a home at 7x gross income (2.5 to 3x is the max recommended rate in the US) seems pretty damn high when looking at her... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
