I have £800, what should I buy to flip for profit?

Preferably anything broken I can find cheap and learn how to fix online for a good ROI %.

I was thinking perhaps broken industrial equipment? generators? idk

Pic related, these are popular right now however there's none near me in Scotland.

When I say generators, I mean industrial sized power generators. I've noticed they seem to get chucked on ebay or gumtree(national classifieds) whenever they stop working.

Iphones?
Cracked screens should be an easy fix and plenty of buyers.
>>
>>1447170
Everyone and their grandmothers are doing that it seems. The ROI is maybe 40% and I'd have to do large batches to make good money. Would also take lots of time to buy/sell them as I'd be traveling to pick them up since they're cheapest from local classifieds.

I want something worth upwards of £500+, with a ROI of at least 60-80% once fixed. Thanks for your suggestion though.

I don't know much about the law or class action lawsuits and the like so I come to you for help, /biz/. My wife works for the Red Cross and has been owed $400 of unpaid hours for almost a month now. Thousands of other employees are also not receiving the wages they are owed even from the most recent pay period, and from what her union rep has said it's apparent that the corporation is insolvent. They are trying to negotiate with the union to trickle out unpaid wages over a number of paychecks, while in the real world many employees are in danger of not being able to...

Access to books is always good, but paying for those books might not be your best bet. A lot of those appear to be the kinda "GET RICH FAST" books that inspire but aren't terribly meaningful.

I can't say I'd ever recommend you start a game development company, but you'd be better served simply sitting down and programming something solo. Don't put the cart before the horse - you don't need employees to make a great game.

How do I fake reference, and if I do, will I get caught? I feel like I need to because I wasn't employed at my last job as long as I said, and I'm not sure if they'll ask about that or even call them, but this is an important job for me right now and I can't risk fucking this up.

So what should I do? Not leave a number for that employer (which is the one with relevant experience) and leave someone else's or leave the managers name with a false phone number.

Apparently they need them for background check.

five years ago I walked out of my retail job. I still have it on my resume because I spent 3 years working there. So you guys think its a good ideal to leave it on my resume or should I take it off, even though its 3 years of work experience. it will make me look like I only have 5 years of work experience instead of 8. If I do leave it on my resume whats a good reason why I left?

also any good recommendations for resume building?

Leave it on your resume but change the number. List a friend or buy a burner phone and pick up and change your voice IF they call. Look up sample resumes on google or use a template from microsoft office. Make up a bunch of volunteer work that can never be verified like charity walks or picking up trash on the road. Get as many phones you need and rinse and repeat.

Why does ETC consistently have higher volume than ETH on plonux?
4 replies and 1 images submitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>1446805
1. It was freely given to people so there's a lot of people with 'free' ETC willing to trade
2. Highly manipulated coin, so most people trading have large pockets
3. Eth always had 1st or 2nd volume, but after the hack people jumped ship so Etc is filling that vacuum.
4. It's worth less than Eth, so people can be expected to trade ~6x as much Etc per 1 Eth
5. It had crazy gains early on, that attracted a lot of attention
>>

Because insiders like Chandler Guo and Barry SIlbert are buying them all up before they release big news

Hey /biz/, I'm a GM at a B lot in ohio. I do mostly subprime and near prime auto loans, with a few AAA loans peppered in. But its mostly shit. Anyways, my question is if you guys have any experience or insight on the business, and how you feel about the subprime loan boom we've been seeing over the last couple of years in comparison with the housing crisis a few years back. It's funny you should bring this up because it was just on a recent episode of Last Week Tonight. Anyways I think that the consensus is that there is less money in general in the car loan industry compared to the mortgage industry pre-2008. Also, of the car loan industry a smaller portion of the loans are sub prime compared to the housing bubble, so overall I think it will have a negative effect, but it will be much, much smaller than the subprime housing crisis and probably contained to the automotive and related...

the difference between the housing boom and auto loans is that you can more easily repossess an automobile and sell it for what was owed on the loan. The banks are less exposed.

people with money dont want or need a used car though. They buy a car new and keep it for 8 years.

people with no money have to make car payments for 5 years on a used car and the used car doesnt last 5 years and they end up having to roll the owed balance onto their next used car.

I was taught a rough guideline is the 10, 20, 70 rule. 10 percent for long time (retirement), 20 percent for large purchaes (car, house, etc.), and 70 percent for your current living expenses. This can change obviously. If you only need 50% of your paycheck for your bills, invest it in your future (or pay down debts which I also think is obvious)

>>
>>1446219

It won't act that way, legion is priced in. But it will go up when the market goes up. And it has a good future ahead, it's more of a long term investment. If you buy today and sell for profit when the S&P is pulling numbers the that's a good plan, but it's not going to just go up cause legion launched. There's probably better short term scalps but you're smart in going for what you already know well. I do the same with vidya and gun stocks.

if you work in IT it probably isn't going to change much for you - you're unlikely to suddenly become a trader, portfolio manager just because you studied for a CFA. My opinion for anyone looking to buy into nimirum

It's OK.. it's going to get overbought when it gets big though, that's the only problem with it, I can for sure see that when people start to really pick up on it that they will heavily invest on it. It's really just in the super early stages right now.

2 MB,
As this relates to finances, I figured I'd post this here. Not sure where else to post this, but here goes nothing.

I'll be moving to Joplin Missouri.

Needing some advice on sleeping in my car. I have a standard 4 door sedan and the back seats do kick back. I'm needing advice on local assistance I might be able to receive. I've faced the reality that I'll be moving to an area I'm unfamiliar with and any assistance is worth while.

Try and find some mcdonalds thats open 24/7 and park in their parking lot if you want to sleep there. Get a window visor to block the sun and keep cool. Save as much money as you can. possibly get a sleeping bag or some kind of inflatable mattress that can fit in your car. eat as cheaply as possible. Get a gym membership so you can use their showers and shave there. Work out there while you can. If you have enough money saved rent a storage unit and make it a makeshift house. Collect and recycle cans and search for change constantly. Do side jobs on craigslist or even uber to supplement your income. Good luck my dude
