>be 18, a freshman in college >apply to a job for the first time, entry level >think my resume was perfect and getting a job is easy when you're a good student involved with various clubs >2 days later and still no response
How do I go on about landing a job even as an office assistant? I am 24 and only legit work experience I have is being a farm hand for 2 months, other than that, been doing various farm for for the past 8 or so years helping a friend and getting paid cash. I did things like watched over contractors and their workers and checked if everything was working properly and fixed sprinklers and such. I also do freelance graphic design on my free time. I just feel like I have been wasting time not pursuing a proper career. I want to get into advertising/ marketing.... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>1019089 I have been job hunting for almost 3 months now. Running out of funds, but luckily I moved back in with the parents a while back. I just want to land a decent 9 to 5 job and then seek internships relating to advertising/graphic design.
Hello guys, I would like what do you guys think of this site I just found out by searching in google "how to make" which gave up these top results; love to a woman (LOL) - money - money online - and can't remember what else.
I have seen very few of these Peer to peer lending shits, are they real? I even saw this in a forum board (vB board software) and they had people lending one to the other, like what the hell?
its either shill or scam, it can't be real or is it? if there is someone experienced in this, can you give realiable info of this... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Here is mine, well, actually I have two. First, I am working for a company, I have been given a list of stuff that I can sell at extremely discounted prices at my discretion to get it out of our warehouse, they don't care if I sell it to other dealers or individuals, but I can't buy any of it myself, except for personal use. This falls under the opportunity that I can't do anything with category, do any of you sell athletic equipment on ebay or something?
>>1019021 Second, and this one is a bit more of a long shot, but I know someone who is having a hell of a time finding a maintenance guy for his mobile home park, Its in a rural area of the north western US, you have to be able to pass a background check and a drug test, pay is not amazing but cost of living is extremely low and you'll get 40 hours a week.
Let's talk hypotheticals. I don't consider myself particularly financially literate, so I'd like to hear opinions.
You own and operate a small scale steroid lab. You have no education, and a minimum wage job. You lived frugally, managed to scrape together some cash and assemble a lab, and have finally managed after a few small batches and reinvesting all profits back into the business, to acquire a small sum of cash.
You now have $5,000.
Steroid A costs $2 to manufacture, sells for $60 Steroid B costs $9 to manufacture,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>decide to schedule my week for maximum productivity >schedule rest of this week >figure out and write my proper schedule starting from next week >"wow, I can get so much done!" >decide my proper schedule is so good that I'll give myself the rest of this week off >feel IMMENSE sense of relief when I delete this week's scheduled tasks
Is this a sign? How do... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

After that, I invested 100€ again, made it up to 1.200€. I wanted my 1.800€ back and lost it all again. Now im broke. What to do with my life? Should I kill myself?
>>1018864 Early Retirement Extreme by jacob lund fisker, now with this book its not a "easy peazy any schmuck" type read - it'll take some concentration, also you don't have to actually have to want early retirement
what this book does which I think is beautiful is it shows you just what your spending is costing you and introduces a systems approach to your life and finances, I think its a must read because even if you're frugal by modern standards you're actually still very much a consumerist... >>1018850 The key when starting out is to diversify by buying as many notes at the minimum investment ($25). This helps in case one or two of your notes you invested in default.
Also I've been on LC since 2009 when I discovered it. I am earning an average annual return of 7.24% before taxes, which I am satisfied with. I invest in mostly A and B rated notes with lenders having good credit history. Also you can write off any default notes on your taxes as capital losses in case you are worried about that.
>>1019757 I don't use this sorcery but this seems sound. 7.24% is a pretty decent average annualized return, depending on the level of risk you're taking on (I'm guessing not as high since A/B notes sounds safe ish?). What's your default rate ?
>>1018814 What this guy said. My roommate works at PwC (audit) and I dated a girl who did tax at Deloitte. It sucks your first few years, but if you stick it out, you will easily be able to secure six figures within 5 years, either internally or externally.
>>1018793 >Investing in any individual stocks, thinking your neckbeard analysis will allow you to beat the market because of some article you read on Seeking Alpha >Not investing entirely in low-cost index funds administered by Vanguard, Schwab, or Fidelity. >Not maxing out your 401(k) and Roth IRA every year (at least)
>>1018824 Anyone who isn't a moron can do $100. 100k is a lot harder. Most folks never get that much these days
>>1018793 > Buying any car under 3 years old, especially luxury or sports models New cars depreciate like crazy losing up to half their value just from buying the stupid thing. Sports cars and luxury cars have high insurance, high taxes, cost a ton to repair and don't do anything special outside of telling the world... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
