Depends on the field. If you're looking for a restaurant gig for example, go right after lunch. They may be hungover from not having enough people on during lunch rush, and may interview you on the spot.
>>1437446 Your best bet is to go near closing time. They won't be busy with customers and the manager will just be hanging around checking that their employees are doing their final roles for the day correctly.
I recently got an "analyst" job opportunity that's basically a bona fide tech support role. Not sure if it's worth it and if there are any serious career progression and/or exit opportunities since it's such a niche subsection of finance-IT.
What's worth noting is that I'm new to the job market and basically have no experience lol.
Murex is shit, but all the banks and large institutions where I am use it. The other one is Calypso. Either way be ready to be shit on all day, I know when something didn't work I'd get on the phone right away and shit on the other side of the phone and I was just an intern.

>>1437439 Yes. Short sighted crypto fags do not realise trump will be dominating the news for the next few months. Not capitalizing on that just because you disagree with his or TrumpCoin ideology is foolish. The opportunity is there for a moon coin like no other.
>>1437350 yeah shit i'm on PLS and we're down to 50c or so when we were 58 a couple weeks ago. I think it's Macquarie bank but i haven't looked into it. they claim that put Lithium in a not-so-good investment Just hold and you'll be alright
>check my account today to see when the annual receiving limit resets >may 2033 Is this a bug or is it the way of the jews to tell me to either insert my data or die? Any good ebay/paypal alternatives?
>>1437340 Alright. Now that I think of it though maybe it has to do with the fact that my account isn't business or premier? I always sold stuff sparsely with with this but lately my volume has increased a lot.

Hey /biz/, I want to get involved with cryptocurrencies again. Last one I involved myself with was Dogecoin (see pic related) as a way of getting my feet wet. Life happened and I had to abandon blockchain stuff until I had more time (now).
So /biz/, what is the most promising cryptocurrency out there right now? I heard great things about both Ethereum and TrumpCoin.
>>1437251 I'm not savvy, but I've been looking at the charts >>1437254 seems to be on an upwards trend. If you wanna go long seems like a good investment.
I'm waiting to see what happens with ETH.
But the simple fact is Bitcoin is really the only one that has any actual real-world value, that you can actually buy things with and has a chance of being widely accepted. So for now, despite the recent hacks it's the most promising.
Trading CFDs -Basically make 2 accounts with small deposit -buy stock on huge leverage before before the earnings report -sell stock on the other account -wait until the next day -one account is at huge gain and the other at loss - > your broker pays for the loss coz of negative balance protection -enjoy your guaranteed moneyyyyyy thoughts?
Currently in a sub-100 school in the US (Ranked 103, but the university has been making leaps and bounds trying to get placed in the top 25 for some reason).
I'm a mathematics undergrad (and currently homeless because lolnomoneys for housing of any sort). Is math my passion? No. Do I like math? Not really, but I need a profitable career. I would prefer computer science, but I feel like I can audit courses in that or something.
Anyway, they offer services to boost their students to top ranked grad schools and all that jazz. Currently I intend to get counseling (I'm a sophomore) to get a Top 10 grad. school admission and try to get on a startup/big fuggin company, depending, depending on the startup.
Is Mathematics a field you can succeed in if you're genuinely uninterested/dislike higher level mathematics.
>>1437186 I unfortunately couldn't declare CS as a major; the Engineering college was full, and CS is under their jurisdiction. Also I realized >>1437184 got slaughtered during my deleting a line, and I screwed up the entire bottom half of the post.

>>1437171 well heres a thought that always pops into my head in this situation do you wanna spend the rest of your life working this job and others like it or work three months, get an education and actually be able to move up instead of staying down in the ladder?
Are there any legitimate websites that pay for referrals or good referral programs? I run a blog that gets a fair amount of traffic and I've been booted off of Google Adsense due to content violations. I already use Amazon links and get a commission when people buy stuff, what other programs are out there? Googling this is bringing up all kinds of shady sounding stuff.
>>1437084 In that case I would check out your local dealership. Most offer some sort of business rentals and I'm fairly sure the charges are a bit cheaper than ones you would get through a typical rental agency.
For those of you who are in business for themselves, how do you balance work/play? I play games and lurk a lot, but know I should be studying, practicing, or just working more. But I feel like I'll be missing out on some of my favorite things to do if I'm dedicating all my time to improving.
I'm 24 now, make good money, about to be dink to up the savings. Everywhere I look even people who aim for super early retirement still max out IRAs before pouring money into taxable accounts, even if they hope to be at least half retired at 35-45. Why? Is eating the penalty still worth it over a taxable account? Even then, I can't grow it as fast as putting 30k+ into an index fund or something similar. I need your help guys.
>>1437016 You can always withdraw your contributions penalty free out of a Roth IRA. You can roll over a 401k or Traditional IRA into a Roth IRA withdraw penalty free after 5 years. Furthermore, most of the time you'll be ahead even if you have to pay the penalty because of the tax free growth. You are really stupid if you put money into taxable accounts before your 401k, IRA, and HSA.
I plan to retire around 45. The best strategy I've worked out at this point is to pour money first into a tax free account, secondly a tax deferred account, and lastly a taxable account. I'm in Canada so my account offerings will be a bit different. But for research or any Canadians looking the accounts are TFSA, RSP, and IA respectively.
