Not houses nigga, I'm talkin businesses, like mom and pop stores, convenience stores, etc etc
Get you + a friend or two, hit 3 stores a night in a town 4 hours away with a major highway in between, then haul ass home either in your own car, or stolen car or rental car or uber. Most stores, small businesses will have like $2k - $3k in cash in their registers, so split 2 ways is $1k a night easy each, and $1k for bills/uber/materials. Do this every week once, you'll have like 50k lol. Then use that... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>Minimum wage: $17.29 per hour So you can work at any Mcdonald's in Australia and be pocketing like $30k/year after taxes? Am I seeing something wrong? I know the cost of living is higher but if you rent in a small town and are frugal, you can save a lot of money compared to my shithole euro country
>>1006491 Maccas mostly employs teenagers which get a % of the minimum wage. You only get the full 17.29 per hour at 21 years old. generally they will employ a fuck load of 16 year olds at $12 an hour and a handful of 20 year olds as managers(which generally worked there from 16)
>>1006103 I have interviews now at small investment management groups because I worked customer service at a bank. Except, I just took all work I was given, made a case study about things I sort of knew about and attached it to all of my applications.
When interviewed, I explained my role as a subset of that team. So I pretty much said I was a banker even though I was a teller.
Is there anything illegal with going to thrift stores, taking pictures of certain merchandise, advertising them on craigslist and ebay, then going back to the thrift store to buy said merchandise to resell to interested buyers for a profit? Is there a legal term for what I'm describing?
Is there ever an advantage to not socializing in the workplace? The only time I'd speak to anyone is if I'm spoken too, and 90 percent of the time it's usually work related. I could start a convo if I wanted to, but I can't bring myself to give a shit about whatever is being discussed. It makes it especially difficult to brown nose my way to the top because I don't care enough to chat with my boss, or even hold a conversation with him.
Do you think the workplace values a person who doesn't talk? I've always heard networking is the... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>30 >B.S. in Biology >dead end job >large savings, chipping away at student loans >want to move forward in life, but can't decide whether to try going to med school (DO) or go back to school and prsue a degree in Engineering
What do I do? Is either field worth it at this point of my life? I love science. I love math. I love technology. I just don't know how to turn it into something I can live on,... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Without a full audit of the fed everyone is just guessing what their currency is worth. If you can't know for certain what your currency is worth any trading done with it is pure speculation and more like gambling than investing. Past results can not predict the future.
I thought /biz/ might be depressing because I'd see people more successful than me. The reality is that its depressing because I see people who are so beneath me in terms of awareness of what entails good money / good career advice, I now worry that there may exist people who similarly surpass me in terms of awareness by many orders of magnitude and i'm too stupid to see it.

>Making big money is easy, just go and get [this specific degree] and [this specific masters] and [this specific PhD] and apply for [this one obscure job that requires that specific academic path and which is only offered by a few companies]
In a way this is the extreme opposite of the previous two. Instead of a rejection of academia, it goes in the comically opposite extreme. Due to various factors, it is a better route than becoming a paper clip welder, with more optionality, but it's still very stupid. Why the fuck would going through... Comment too long. >on break from school for my STEM degree >decide to get a job to make some extra money >do the kind of labour job I used to for one day >no, fuck this >I'd rather work 12 hours a day on making my own money than be a wageslave again
